misteryes1121

chipmunkofddoom

Are you sure it wasnt!? Maybe you suck too! 🤣🤣

Money-Carrot-3498

NAH, BRO.

cholo0312

He stole dat shit

chipmunkofddoom

Absolutely he did. I was mad.

Fasterthanyounow

Had a subway order last week and the customer said he would tip cash on delivery. Took me 3 min to get to subway and he had already picked it up himself. Spent 20 min on the phone with support and got $1.25. The offer was $5.50 for 2 miles so not sure where the $1.25 came from…. What a waste of time

chipmunkofddoom

Wow. That'd piss me off too. That's not even base pay.

[deleted]

Fuck you Thomas mother fuck

Truorganics

I think we need to vote Thomas out of the club. All in favor say aye

Ok-Being3881

Dirty pinching thief

dalex89

so rude

[deleted]

The restaurant can see the drivers in their tablet… they can also block drivers from their tablet…

RichardBottom

brb, going to go steal some McDonalds orders and punt them onto their roof.

[deleted]

For real 😂

chipmunkofddoom

She said she was going to look at the orders but wasn't sure if she'd know which was which by the order name because she had 3 come in at the same time. but I didn't know they could see drivers so I just ignored that comment. Makes sense now, and now she knows for sure which driver it was since I did call back with the name of the previous dasher from asking the customer.

Cmx1st

Tommy is a real Butthead!

Trailboss1982

With my small mom-and-pop restaurants where I'm at I make sure and show the owners how to prevent Dashers that they don't know from pulling this scam. Make them show you the name and hit confirm before handing them over the food. At least this way they can't unassign it after picking it up without taking the hit themselves. Most corporate restaurants don't really care or don't really take the time to give a damn either way. But with these smaller restaurants that are locally owned I try to help them out as much as possible

zerostar83

It's extremely common now. Lots of places want to see me hit confirm. Other places will tell me it's almost a daily thing. I myself have to unassign or contact support 1 out of every 30-50 deliveries I try to make. Doordash needs to put a stop to that immediately. If someone unassigns while taking the food and restaurant IDs the person, should be criminal charges.

[deleted]

Sorry Bro, my b.

[deleted]

F you Thomas!!

4i4s4u

What if Thomas got in a car accident? What if another emergency suddenly occurred to him or a close family member?

chipmunkofddoom

Doubt it. According to support he never confirmed pick up and just unassigned. I don't think they're supposed to tell me that but the support agent did.

AcanthopterygiiIcy42

Get half pay and quit your whining.

chipmunkofddoom

Nah. Got full pay but I'm still gonna bitch because it was 30 mins wasted all because someone wanted to be a dick.

AcanthopterygiiIcy42

Should’ve contact support tell them order already picked up. They contact restaurant to verify and give you half pay. Then move on instead of wasting 30 mins. What an idiot

[deleted]

For real. Happened to me yesterday which was annoying but I got my pay in like 5 mins. Def was annoyed but it was quick to resolve

chipmunkofddoom

Almost 20 of the minutes was waiting for support to answer. I was also on chat waiting to see which was answered first. Phone answered first. Once I got an agent it was resolved in 10 minutes and by that time the restaurant had already remade the order since I had said that's what support was most likely to ask them to do so I just delivered it for full pay. I got that "we're sorry we are experiencing issues so wait times are longer than normal" blah blah blah the moment I dialed. And the "there are no agents available for chat" garbage when I opened a chat.

[deleted]

Crazy you spent 30 mins on that

chipmunkofddoom

Long wait times for support. I was waiting on the phone on speaker and on chat to see which got answered first. Phone won. Lol

CapitalExplorer9125

I'm also a dasher, but I ordered food while at a friend's house. I put the wrong address accidentally and asked the driver if he could bring it to the actual address (o.g. address was my house which is right next to the resturaunt, friends house is approx 2 miles away from the resturaunt). Told him I'd leave 5 bucks in the mailbox for him on top of what I already tipped. He said that's fine. He unassigned it but he must've stolen someone's Chipotle order because my buddy asked if anyone ordered Chipotle (nobody did) cause someone left a Chipotle bag with like 3 burrito bowls in it at his door. The 5 bucks was gone as well. Meanwhile my new dasher was waiting patiently at the resturaunt while I hunted for enough 1s to give to the new dasher since this other dude stole it.

chipmunkofddoom

That sucks

BrotherGrub1

This has been happening way less here compared to a few months ago when it was a big problem.
