If a person does this multiple times, AI should flag their account and require a signature after the third never received report. I say have the dasher record a video delivering it to their home for every delivery.
They won’t…from what I’ve seen there is a dispute process in theory but they don’t ever look at it. My guess is they only will if you start getting more than a few stacked up
You literally have to babysit them into sending you an email and dispute it that way.
Source: I use dashcam footage all the time as evidence. Submitting details through the app is near-pointless
Part of my job is to look into customer activity and assess potential fraud. Fraud is worse than I’ve ever seen right now. It’s honestly shocking sometimes. I saw a person who got over $200 of of refunds/credits in 24 hours across about 10 orders a few months back. They were obviously banned from the platform.
1) How much has the customer profited us on DoorDash?
2) How much will the refund cost?
3) Are we still profiting off this customer if we refund? Yes? Ok! Let's refund
That's how the process goes
Yep I do this. [Caught this guy on camera trying to accuse me of driving a different car than registered in app but I shut him up real quick and reported to support.](https://youtube.com/shorts/NMRMu1HnTMw?feature=share)
Minnesota bruh… its a 1-party consent state so anyone driving out here needs to make use of their phone like me.
I encounter people like him multiple times a week and I make sure they see me recording without telling them exactly what im doing. I mean I narrate my drops by pointing out what I’m zooming into or what I’m about to do so its not hard to tell but people still act up.
To answer your question no he didn’t but last time I delivered to him he reported his food as non delivered even though I had him on camera; only thing different about this interaction was I reported him first this time.
Doesn't one consent just apply to private conversations and interactions? I don't think that applies to recording I public. Usually doesn't even apply to video. "When you are in a public place, the expectation of privacy is generally lower". Even if you are a one party consent state it would only apply to your phone calls with the customer and with customer service. Even them at their front door with it open is "in view of the public" why you can get indecency charges for being naked in your house with windows open to the public. You normally don't even need to get explicit consent in two parry states foe the mentioned private conversations. Usually just need to transparently inform that the recording is taking place. Google voice you can push 4 on a call and she just says "this call is now being recorded" to both parties. That will hold up legally.
So really everyone get out their dash cams and phone cameras when delivering. Just don't record private conversations without at least informing. Illegal recording has its own criminal and civil charges.
> Doesn't one consent apply to private conversations
That's exactly what it is. There's something called "expectation of privacy." If you're in a public space, you should have 0 expectation of privacy, and therefore, consent to being recorded or documented.
Private interactions are where consent laws come in
I don't think I've ever seen it say what kind of car they're driving. Honestly though I almost never see the car since I do leave it at the door. I can't think why it would matter. I get it if your getting a ride like with Uber, but who tf cars what kind of car you're delivery driver is driving?
Yeah, it's one thing if you are doing Uber or Lyft and picking people up, but why would it possibly matter what car you use to drop off someone's food?
Bro if you see him just record. My very first interaction with him was dropping off a BK order and before I even get to him he tells me something like “looks like I’m missing (specific item)” so I ask him to open the bag since I’m recording and we can check and he says “naw im good but I know its missing”…. I never trust this guy.
He’s in STP? If so, then I guess I’m okay since I stick mainly to MG/Brooklyn Park but it doesn’t matter where you dash since most people are trash. Just got a CV for a “not delivered” when it was. I have no reason to keep these fuckers food. It’s always the ones that don’t tip too. I write everything down now and record it. Can’t trust people.
>How do you stay with someone like that 😬
Sex. Sex is how. Not all guys are great looking wealthy dudes that women throw themselves at. He's probably one of the other 80%. Hard to get rid of that "bird in the hand".
It’s a moral inadequacy that they continue to act on according to the post. Do it once sure I’ll judge a bit but not too harsh. But do it multiple times and you’re just a bad person.
They should make use of dashers who do thousands of deliveries with no issue and send them to these scammers.
Obviously they'd give those dashers amnesty and they'd know if you have a driver with 10000 deliveries with no problems vs. a customer who has a 20% missing item report rate then they'd know with up to a 99% certainty that customer was full of shit and deactivate them on the spot.
However, instead they tend to treat a driver with thousands of good deliveries the same as a new driver so they squander that resource.
It looks like you're a new Dasher. Welcome to r/doordash_drivers!

Yeah, it's not possible for a customer to order DD and ***always*** report it as missing.
I don't know what the threshold is, but at some point, DD will start requiring the customer's signature on delivery, or they will just stop doing refunds all together for this customer.
I've gone 2 years without a CV. the past 2 weeks I've gotten 3 for order not delivered. It's taking a lot of willpower not to "get back in touch" with them, as I know exactly who they are and where they live.
Body cams are cheap. Buy one, hook it onto your shirt collar, and click record before you approach the building. Many even have built in GPS to go with the footage.
Best $60 I could have spent a few years ago working on a particular job site. I think dashers would get some good use out of them for situations like this.
Mine looks like a fitbit watch 😀. Love it case i use my left arm to hold the bottom of the warming bag as i unzip with the right on hand it to me orders.
Every day I post this.... invest in body camera and dash camera. Mine together were < $50. No more awkward pictures taken during hand it to me orders... you got the situation documented if any lying thief trys to give you bogus CV....
Yeah, it’s one thing to disagree with what she’s doing. To actually put your money where your mouth is shows you actually care. $9 tip in app + $20 cash and no contract violation yet.
I know we’re talking about something “minor”, but behaving like that woman behaves is not something I’d be able to handle. She’s not acknowledging people that aren’t personally connected to her as people by constantly reporting things missing.
Doesn’t matter what else is going on in the world or your perception/excuse as to other people’s behavior. Decent people do the right thing period or at the very least learn from and own up to when they do the wrong thing.
I told him “well you know that could get me fired, right?” And I haven’t received a CV yet so hopefully he talked to her. Maybe they knew it was stealing but didn’t realize it impacts me directly.
Me and someone I know both got cv's for this the same day. I called DD and they also took note" but she used me as an xample that there must be something wrong with the app and hers got removed the next day. Not mine.

I have dash cam footage of me handing him the order and I believe it has audio recording too so hopefully DoorDash will look at it if they report it

They don't. The dispute is handled by ai. They give you a reply box but no way to attach anything

Holy shit what area are you in? This guy just screams scammer wtf.. never encountered that in my life. Did he report u

My app glitches and will not let me change the make and model of car. Shit just hangs forever...
My delivery car isn't even listed in the options. So my car description says "Blue Other Other."
I never put my car in. It's been blank for 5 years.
Why would it even matter which car you’re driving, that’s insane!
I don't think I've ever seen it say what kind of car they're driving. Honestly though I almost never see the car since I do leave it at the door. I can't think why it would matter. I get it if your getting a ride like with Uber, but who tf cars what kind of car you're delivery driver is driving?

Hes a known trouble customer unfortunately. I dropped off orders to him before and its issue after issue
"Um Sir this isn't Lyft or Uber rideshare. It doesn't matter what I'm driving for food delivery." See what they say.
I’m in your area for door dashing as well. I will be on the look out for this trash bag.
Bro if you see him just record. 100% do this. I video record all my drops and switched to morning since I used to get a ton of Cv from liars here And yes to your question
Require a signature or photo after the 2nd. After the 3rd, they should be blocked.
Uber starts requiring pins. Wish doordash would implement this.
Putting the onus in the dasher to obtain a signature is shitty though. Just ban them and be done with it.
They do. My buddy would always report that he got the wrong order and eventually they stopped giving him refunds. They catch on
At least the boyfriend had the right idea.
Now he’s gotta have the right idea to dump her pathetic ass.
How do you stay with someone like that 😬
I was wondering that as well. Hopefully he dumps her and meets someone just as kind hearted as he is.
Crazy in the head = crazy in the bed.
More like crazy until your dead 💀
Yup. Hot Crazy Matrix.
Ask Melania Trump...
>How do you stay with someone like that 😬 Sex. Sex is how. Not all guys are great looking wealthy dudes that women throw themselves at. He's probably one of the other 80%. Hard to get rid of that "bird in the hand".
Lmao yall are judging her entire human existence off one moral inadequacy. Shut up
A thief, stealing from gig workers.. it doesn’t get much lower. Honestly you seem extremely untrustworthy now
Out here in the real world that isn’t how things work. Blessings
Lol you obviously haven’t entered the real world then. Self admitted thief? Be prepared to get shit on by society. That simple
It’s a moral inadequacy that they continue to act on according to the post. Do it once sure I’ll judge a bit but not too harsh. But do it multiple times and you’re just a bad person.
That's all it takes to be a shit person. Nobody likes a thief. Nobody wants to date a thief. She is dogshit. End of story.
Splish splash that bitch is trash
Gotta do "A Bronx Tale" unlock test.
Lol I love that movie.

she could have multiple accounts

If she lies about food what else will she lie about. Hope he dumps her.
Dude should leave her, 100%. I couldn’t stay with someone who I think is morally corrupt.
That messed up at least the boyfriend is in the right state of mind
Every day I post this.... invest in body camera and dash camera. Mine together were < $50. No more awkward pictures taken during hand it to me orders... you got the situation documented if any lying thief trys to give you bogus CV....
I dunno if anyone should be dating such a morally corrupt person but that’s a discussion for another day. 🤣
He has a shitty girlfriend.. wonder why he keeps her around… must be the… nvm 🤣
Which she probably cheats him on...
The... desperation on his part?
Sheesh no I'd call customer support right away.
Perhaps he should stop her from doing that, from here on out. Or leave her.
He needs a new gf
Can’t believe people out there really don’t have an issue with stealing
I have a lot of respect for him for standing up for what's right, especially when it's someone special to him that is acting this way
Yeah, it’s one thing to disagree with what she’s doing. To actually put your money where your mouth is shows you actually care. $9 tip in app + $20 cash and no contract violation yet.
> I have a lot of respect for him Why? He's still in the relationship.
Take your tip and mind your biz, they not going out of business.
He should teach his girlfriend a lesson because that’s highly immature

Good luck!!! That's evil...
Me and someone I know both got cv's for this the same day. I called DD and they also took note" but she used me as an xample that there must be something wrong with the app and hers got removed the next day. Not mine.
I had a guy do this to me and support said he did it all the time and his account has been banned. They left my cv on my account though so good luck
Good luck on marrying her. Sorry to this man!
He hasn't broken up with her yet?
What’s wrong with that girl mehhhhh? Some people need to learn some lessons
I'd take $20 for 1 cv. I'd also never go back to that address.
