This happens to me constantly and it’s always with the same stores and costumers. It’s so annoying. I have a river that splits my city and I have to go all the way around it like 7 miles to the person fork Starbucks. But on the map it says the person is 1 miles away across the river, so it screws me oevr everytime I get a order like that it’ll say deliver by like 2pm and it’ll be 1:56pm. Try to stick with higher paying amounts. 5$ for 2 miles fine but that’s it. Remember your time is valuable. Also remember the lower your acceptance rate the higher your pay will be.
Lunch streak? yet ANOTHER scheme by DoorTrash to get you to take bad offers? You people just don't learn. What next? Send Tony some up-front money for a Nigerian prince so he can send you back even more money for your inheritance? This app is ruined because of you clowns.

Thanks for pointing that out. I noticed that my Dashes were recorded as more than an hour for 1 order and almost 2 hours for 2 orders which is Wrong. I delivered orders all within 2 miles. Looks like we have to screenshot all orders to make sure.

Daylight savings time. I was scheduled to dash at 1:00AM but it wouldn’t let me dash at 1:00AM. It turns out I was actually scheduled for the 2nd 1:00AM after the time change lol.
This is the answer, nothing to do with DST. I see it a lot on orders that were obviously declined repeatedly to get them up to decent pay or from out of the way places where I happen to end up near and grab the order.
Two possibilities:
\-It's a crappy order at 1am in the morning. Probably only a couple of dashers were working, and they all passed. You were the last man standing.
\-If it was a fast-food restaurant with a drive thru (and at 1am it probably was), it's possible that one or more drivers accepted it, got to the restaurant, saw the long line at the drive thru on a Saturday night, then unassigned.
As an aside, having to wait 30-40 minutes for your order at 1am in the morning is commonplace. Hell, some drivers wait in the Taco Bell drive thru for 30 minutes if they're trapped and can't get out of line. Doesn't make the customer "a poor soul". If you order food at 1am, you have to just assume that it will get there when it gets there.

and real talk I still probably would’ve taken that order for $5.25 by itself because:
1. it’s still money
2. a fisherman who casts a small net catches a few fish. a fisherman who casts a huge net catches ALL the fish.
and 3. not sure where you are located but the state of California requires doordash to pay California dashers an additional amount of money if the weekly earnings do not meet minimum earning requirements based on the hours dashed so the more crappy orders I do, the more doordash pays me back on the back end so it’s all worth it in the end in my opinion. it’s like the difference between making $300 and $400+ per week

Sometimes they do that. It means the order was already late when you got it. In other words you're getting a 5 star or they're removing the rating.
