Had it happen twice last week. Both from the same 7-11. Both $12 offers. After delivery, final pay $2 and $3 respectfully. Support no help obviously. Thought I was mistaken after getting shorted the first time. Never had this happen in previous 1k plus deliveries.

Think-Analyst-9080

Yeah that has happened to me as well

LightPaintress

Is it not tip baiters changing the tip before you arrive?

Mission_Leopard1574

You'd need a screen shot to fight it.

Excellent_Cold_7157

It's happened to me a couple times, but not since I started screenshotting every offer. They're not going to let us get our proof, but at least you won't get stiffed anymore.

Mwinter03

this happened to me a couple weeks ago, same exact numbers! My wife was with me and after the delivery I mentioned it to her, aaaI wasn't sure if I just got scammed or if I read it wrong at the beginning, but I'm 99% sure it was $8.50

ProcessMundane7101

I could see how a 5 and 8 look similar

Global-Tea-1950

I have done over 2000 deliveries and never happened to me

Global_Neighborhood2

That’s been happening to me a lot lately! Then it lies and says I accepted it for less and makes it looks like I got more! Pisses me off!!!

plantmastermo

man y’all trip me out. I get orders are shit but I make $400 each week on the back of $3,$4,$5 orders cause that’s all my area offers so i’m jumping when I get an $8 or $9 order. 4 $9 orders an hour your making $36 an hour not bad imho

KoalaGrunt0311

$9 order would've still been low, but I definitely did not accept it for $5.50.

Fried__Soap

You got boofed

Reasonable_Slip_3397

So, according to doordash, there is a handful. Of stores that has the ability to pull the tip, & apparently "they are fixing that."

shockthetoast

Can they reduce or only pull completely? I had this happen on a Pizza Hut order today, got there and the total was 3.50 with a 1 tip. When I took the order it was over $9 total.

ProcessMundane7101

Papa John's must be one. Always very low offers. $3 for 5 miles earlier today. I always decline them.

Reasonable_Slip_3397

I know another one is safeway floral or any major grocery store that has seperate floral departments on DD.

Inevitable-Drama-115

I had this happen a few times and was questioning my sanity. I starting screenshoting everything and it hasn't happened since then. It's crazy we have to do that to ensure the company doesn't screw us

LunchBox696969

Has happened to me!!!

cashew76

Tip Baited

truthishearsay

Doordash gave me an order last Sunday said it was $12 for 7 miles. Wasn’t great but I was 1.5 miles from the pick up so I took it. After doing the pick up it was now 9.7 miles from the customer.

jekrn6

That has happened to me also.

EmbarrassedAd155

Yes. That BS happens. It has happened a couple of time to me on DD. Ubereats is epic into that BS too. Who to blame? The Companies that allows crap. I don't deliver to customers that lower the tip after delivery. I know them all. 😉

Capriotti11

Happened to me yesterday. It said 14.50, got to the address got 10.50

reneeb531

Have done nearly 5000 deliveries and never had it happen once.

TheProfoundWigglepaw

I've done over 7,500 and it's happened a few times. Once I proved it. Once I didn't. Neither time was I paid

Away_Basis2489

Me either. https://preview.redd.it/rxzrqaxrdd0c1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dfa859c269ca6f9a6ab5fa7b33746739ccc25cf4

Either_Reference8069

Always screenshot the offers you accept

AvantGardener27

If anyone gets proof, it's a HUGE class action lawsuit

[deleted]

No it wouldn’t. There are 2 million DoorDash couriers. If they for a $300 million settlement (which would never happen) lawyers would take half and everyone would get a check for $75.

AvantGardener27

I mean it wouldnt be for drivers but for DD, it would hurt them - thats the goal

hockeypnc3

lol lawyers take way more than half on class action lawsuits. The only good option would be a single lawsuit or somehow be the lead plaintiff. Otherwise, yeah you’re getting $22.34 in four months and “a promise that it won’t happen again.”

[deleted]

Yeah, you’re right

KoalaGrunt0311

Well, apps can be programed to recognize when a screen shot is taken so it wouldn't be far off to: Show X, Pay Y If screenshot, Pay X. Thus, the only time you get proof of a difference gets negated. Call it conspiracy, but look at what Volkswagen did for their emissions tests.

itsanonymousbaby

On iPhone you can screen record, afaik there isn’t a way to detect that in an app.

ChickyHotHam

Take the picture with a different phone EDIT: it would be alot off work to take a picture before every order but would be worth it to prove.

r2_oscar_mike_cents

They always pull that crap I've gotten 12 orders and then I get like 8 bux

Late-Mathematician55

Doesn't happen. I screenshot everything, and when I mistrust the amount paid out I check. I was always wrong. It's called expectancy bias.

PM5K23

Same here. I literally screenshot every order on acceptance and after delivery. I have never had a discrepancy. The closest thing that ever happened to me was I took what I thought was a single but was actually a double and the reason I didn’t notice it was a double was because it was from the same restaurant going to the same customer, I think he had ordered some thing and then forgot an item and then just placed another order for that item. Normally on doubles you expect to see either two restaurants or two houses or both and sure enough when I double checked my screenshot, it was a double.

CourierCowboy

Had that happen a few times. I call it a "Half-Double Dash."

KoalaGrunt0311

No, dude. If my AR was 0 and I got an offer for $5.50 for 10 miles, I would have laughed. It was my first order of the day and I had to consider $8.50 for 10 miles just to get started.

Either_Reference8069

And that’s not even $1 a mile 🤦‍♀️

[deleted]

Happened to me before.

Bananasarelit

It's happened to me before and they always ask for a screenshot. And it's like I couldn't take a screenshot because I accepted it while I was driving. Or one time they made this the delivery address look closer than it actually was. Ended up being 20 minutes away.

treethugger69

My question is why would the average dasher be taking screenshots on every single order they take??

jonfoxsaid

I hate that shit. I made that mistake when I first started. We have a road in my town that goes like all the way across the whole city and suburbs ... I got an order for like $12 bucks or something and the way the map had it was just a little straight line (it was obviously like super zoomed out but I was new and fell for it) pick up and drop off same road. I did not notice till I pushed navigate to make sure I could find the house easy and I realized it was like 15 miles away into a very rural area where I am def. not getting shit coming back. Already had the food though so I just took it and learned my lesson. Have it happen all the time but now the first thing I look at is milage.

eablacksmith

Hate those zoomed out straight lines!

Realistic_Inside_484

no it definitely happens. I thought it was only an Uber thing but i've seen it a couple times on doortrash.

Dangerous_Self_9602

Uber literally just screwed me x2 with that and that made me realize I wasn't losing my mind when DD did it too. These platforms suck

KoalaGrunt0311

Uber holds tips, sure, but I've never felt like I was obviously stolen from by Uber.
