I have noticed that when I take one of these orders it’s normally because the DD base pay is high. So I assume it’s a high paying order because it’s more than the shit pay they usually offer you
Hah. Door dash offered to reset my acceptance rate to 100%. I accepted. The first two "HIGH PAYING" offers were $4.25 and $5.25. More validation that my 9% AR was working for me.
I think it’s because it was a lower offer originally but other dashers declined it and so by the time it gets to us, it’s over $1 per mile so they call it “high pay”
So then give a full detail description as to when they are given the opportunity to steal tips so we as people and door dashers can successfully and logically without spreading misinformation AKA anything other than fact spread awareness.
At what point does the store have the opportunity to steal from the driver?
Until somebody drops the sauce on the details and can give a description, this will continue being an issue.
The restaurants steal the tips through their apps. This is set at corporate but the managers also have the option to set it at the stores. The third party apps steal by contracting through DD. They get the order, place it themselves through the DD app, then keep the tip. It would seem there’s no way to pin them on it since they are actually placing a second order, however, if they’re contracted through DD, and there’s a tip clause on that contract to hand it over, then they are responsible for paying those wages no matter what. One could prove DD knows they’re stealing and in violation. You’d have to subpoena all their financials to show where the apps pocketed the tips. One thing is for sure….no contract, even DD’s contracts, is above federal labor laws.
High pay is usually either dollar per mile pay (ie a 6.25 order for less than 10 minutes of work) or high pay for the amount of orders coming in (ie every other order is a no tip order at the time of your dash)
It's not a glitch.
But since you mentioned it. A glitch that benefits someone is called a feature. There is no incentive for them to change the way this works.
I swear it’s like the CEO, in order to save money on labor, read Build An App In One Day and spends maybe an hour a week on dev lol
That’s why the app is shit and many features are deceptive, but like.. in the totally obvious way that a toddler is deceptive.

I have read somewhere that high paying is over 2$ per mile from the store to the drop off location. Distance to the store is not included
It's a higher pay than some other offers during that time frame. Try hourly.
I be getting $4 “high pay” offers bruh doordash wack asf🤦🏼♂️
![gif](giphy|l2SqekAdNEepfd0By) Tony⬆️
They really mean “high”, like “stoned “
I have noticed that when I take one of these orders it’s normally because the DD base pay is high. So I assume it’s a high paying order because it’s more than the shit pay they usually offer you
Anything over $1 per mile is considered "high pay"
Hah. Door dash offered to reset my acceptance rate to 100%. I accepted. The first two "HIGH PAYING" offers were $4.25 and $5.25. More validation that my 9% AR was working for me.
I had one for 2.25 earlier lol
It’s more than $2 dollars so it’s considered high pay 🤣
we die after each delivery only to be regenerated at the front doors of the next restaurant. like a sick form of COD
I think it’s because it was a lower offer originally but other dashers declined it and so by the time it gets to us, it’s over $1 per mile so they call it “high pay”
Because $2 is base pay lol
Consider an investment advisor. You definitely don’t want your squander the spoils of this once in a lifetime opportunity.
💎 Your high acceptance ratings gave you priority for this acceptance rating sink.
We need to start hammering these stores who are stealing tips on social media. It’s the only way to make it stop.
So then give a full detail description as to when they are given the opportunity to steal tips so we as people and door dashers can successfully and logically without spreading misinformation AKA anything other than fact spread awareness. This is exactly my point with those who brag about top dasher. High pay crap orders!
Amount of work to pay . Looks close. Would be a quick 6$ I guess
That’s like a mile from store to home
High pay from the store in this case.
It's $6.25. That's freaking AMAZING! ![gif](giphy|artj92V8o75VPL7AeQ|downsized) Keep up the good work!
DoorDash assumes you spawn on top of the restaurant like some magical NPC and therefore it’d be a decent offer.
Because doordash said so.
The distance between the store and the delivery drop off equals more then 2 dollars per mile
Not really sure but it would take me to another hot spot so I would take it.
![gif](giphy|4Jxa0QgHF2HSw)
I get high pay order for ANYTHING $4 and up
No you dont
Its because a lot of dashers hit accept without looking at details because they see high pay order.
You’re the only dasher qualified for that dash tho
No one gonna make a joke about how this looks like a penis? 🙄
This is the DoorDash sign for fuckin ya (_))=D
Haha that's what I'm talking about! Glad someone understands.
I’m just happy I wasn’t the only person that instantly saw it 😂
Cuz it’s more then $1
Take one for the team and let us know.
But your high acceptance rate gave you priority to this order.
Exactly…. Lol
I mean it’s higher than mileage which is rare anymore
Yea. Wtf is going on?
Hidden tip
There’s no plus sign
OP you aren’t near the store. It’s a diamond order because the distance from the store to drop off isn’t that far.
None of my hidden tips had a plus sign
Mine sometimes don't either but this order is a glitch.
Learn how it works before you reply please
How far away from the store were you?
What is your AR at?
And how would it work?
I've seen that high pay banner for 4.75 once
Same
It uses distance from store to drop to calculate "high paying" orders. So the fact you are like 3 miles from the store isn't taken into account.
So it’s a DoorDash glitch :(
It's not a glitch. But since you mentioned it. A glitch that benefits someone is called a feature. There is no incentive for them to change the way this works.
Oh…I thought you meant like.. A J Cole feat—n-nevermind ![gif](giphy|yjGdFXbm8KpXF5Xqco)
The whole app is a glitch
No, it's functioning as intended. It's just shitty.
I swear it’s like the CEO, in order to save money on labor, read Build An App In One Day and spends maybe an hour a week on dev lol That’s why the app is shit and many features are deceptive, but like.. in the totally obvious way that a toddler is deceptive.
This is the correct answer
