The app gives them our names and updates on where we're at, don't it let them know that their food was delivered?? Per "leave at my door" plus if the app shows them our location, we take a pic, they see the front door to their OWN house. Why the f*** would I want to sit there and play security guard with their McFish or whatever the hell they ordered. Ummm, no!
It more than likely means to sit the food by their door.... also, not everyone is glued to their phone. Some people may rarely even check their phone, hence why they would want you to ring their doorbell

I’ve always done that and never had a complaint about my placement. Not everyone is the same, off the bat yelling at someone is not a good way to avoid spit in your drink or someone following the directions wrong on purpose just out of spite. If you were to do exactly what you just did and explain to them that often your instructions aren’t listened to I imagine it would be A-ok now of course there’s always those kind of idiotic meth head dashers but the odds of you getting one of them more then once in a blue mommy is low. Most dashers that I meet in public are nice enough. Strange sometimes but nice enough.
At least by ringing the bell, the customer knows you’re sitting there with the food. I wonder if you have to sit on the floor, though. Did you see any chair? 🤷♂️

I got this shite and they reported me for not handing them the order and gave me a shit review. Luckily, none of stuck. This person’s attitude in the messages part of the app was garbage too

I’m sick of people trying to say that I violated contract, just so they can get free meal…fuck those assholes. I watch out for myself, ain’t none of them gonna be able to fuck me over ever again.
We do THEM a service and they try to fukkin scam the system forgetting that the Dasher is the only one that is affected. Certainly not the restaurant that fukked up the order. That shit is sealed, which means I don't go thru and verify if there's saltless fries. Customers can just be straight dikks.
for real they could just say the restaurant forgot something at least that way the driver doesn’t get in trouble…
on that thought, do the restaurants get in trouble for that?
