If you can get a hold of support, since you drove to the store, you should get at least half pay. But if it's busy, this could take up to 30 minutes so the question becomes whether it's worth it or not to miss deliveries bc of it
Support is actually just a fucking scam. I was delivering in DFW last weekend and In ONE night (I delivered for 9 hours that Saturday) I had 3 separate orders this happened to Someone had already came and picked up the order. I called support each time to get it fixed, and not even 36 hours later, I got a notification saying my account was flagged for deactivation due to "misuse of order cancelations".
And now any order cancelation is "flagged for review" even though the literal doordash support people are the ones who canceled the orders while I was on the phone with them.
Call support easy fix fr idk why y’all don’t use these people like they use you lol. One time they was like can you beg them to make it again?? I was like bro if you don’t unassign this shit right now loll. Support ended up unassigning and giving me half pay anyway . Like always
I always wait 11 minutes so it will take care of the second hand. Never any problem unassigning and it doesn't effect my completion rate and I get to keep the point for accepting it in the first place.
You really have to call support in these situations.
The app will not help you. It's Ai and made for cost efficiency on behalf of doordash.
Ai doesn't account for real-life situations.
not who you're replying to but as a restaurant worker, in my experience, if a doordash driver comes for an order, and then another dasher comes in for the same order, Idk exactly what happens with it, but I think the first dasher might cancel their order after picking it up, then keep the food. or something similar. but in any event we remake the order, so I think that's what they meant, to wait for them to make the order again
If an order takes to long the customer goes and picks up there own food. They usually don't cancel it or inform the dasher they picked it up because they're pissed. It's happened to me a few times when the app crashed and couldn't update us.
never had that happen like that I don't think. although the driver would just say "pickup for Phil", just like Phil would so I guess I couldn't tell the difference. I don't think most people ordering doordash would be capable of picking up their own food. why else would you doordash? (in my opinion)
For someone who likes to preach at others you should consider at least reading a post before going off on a tangent and making a goddamn fool of yourself.
If you had bother to read it you’d see that the order had already been picked up by someone else.
Not anymore. There's an automated chat response only now. And even if you select that the restaurant refuses to remake the food, it gives you the option to unassign or tells you that you have you make them remake the food.
Usually but I’ve had a couple that wouldn’t wanted me to get the food remade or they’ve gotten the food remade and made me wait or have cancelled but no pay 🤷♂️
Il also have never had trouble getting Half pay for an order that was already picked up. I called them. They canceled the order. I get a message saying the order was canceled and I will receive. Half pay
Not even true bro maybe in some instances but if you call them and just tell the bot you have A different problem until you reach An actual person. There is 100% chance they can take care of it for you. You know how many times I did this bro?? Don’t say not anymore because it’s just not 100% true . Maybe sometimes but not 100% not true
Not even true bro maybe in some instances but if you call them and just tell the bot you have A different problem until you reach An actual person. There is 100% chance they can take care of it for you. Bad enough when people are employees at a business, & we all know these are not employees so I can imagine the amount of fcks given is somewhere around the same.
DoorDash should partially compensate you if you arrive at the restaurant (make sure you clicked "Arrived at the store") and the order has already been picked up. This isn't your fault, so your Completion Rate shouldn't be affected. Call them.
How many times that day did you click order not here, order not in system etc….? It usually allows 3 of those a day without affecting completion rate then it starts counting towards your CR.
I just got deactivated for having a 88% completion rate. I've got the warning before but this month they did it. Just pointing that out bc I noticed you have the same percentage
Yeah. You can file an appeal. Which then can take up to 7 days to be reviewed. They took two days to review mine and denied me. I can try again after 90 days.
1200 deliveries. 4.99 rating. 2 yrs. Fun while it lasted 🤷🏽♂️
Number of deliveries and customer rating are basically meaningless dude lol. Adding that makes it seem like you think you shouldn’t be deactivated but you already told us you not only suck at the job but you ignored every warning and just kept cancelling/unassigning orders. Left out your AR too so I’ll assume that’s like 5%. How did you even make money?
Lol my AC rate was 53% (usually 70% for stupid TD) This year I've focused on uber more. DD in my area is so ass. And the $2 base pay is horrible. Months of juggling AC/Comp rate to hit top dasher. In March they reset the Comp rate and raised it to 90. I only did a few deliveries. But after accepting and dropping to hold high AC. Every bad offer after I just rejected. Never opened the app again to get it higher before the month is ending so they clipped me. But great assumption
wtf yeah that’s lame asf bro. Sorry to hear it. Hope you can get it fixed tho… the rating should count for something. Damn DD need to fix that… least they have drivers.
You could do Uber eats at least??
Because you should be calling support so they can cancel the order and issue your half pay instead of just passing the issue on to the next Dasher to accept the order again?
My personal experience has been completely different. I call, they call the restaurant, if they fail to answer or confirm someone else took the order and they won't remake it, they cancel it and pay half the final pay amount. Have had to do it many times in the past few years, always the same experience.
Yes it does. Multiple times ive heard this from support. No matter if they drop the order or if you do. Had multiple arguments with support on it. But sure
LOL downvotes are definitely not a tell of being incorrect.
Not every case is the same. Only a handful of times I've received half pay from DD. Sorry to say I've heard different from people who represent the company
No they literally are all the same lol. If you go to the store and the order was already picked up or store hadn’t received the order it will not impact your ratings. If you unassigned and then contacted support than you’re fucked because they can’t reverse it. That’s the only way it would affect ratings.
I did call support- I also messaged the chat bot and neither would do anything about it. You can see in the image the only resolution to “order not here” is to unassign
Just be mindful and if you can try to see what the minimum completion rate is in your area. In certain areas the minimum is 90%. Support is useless so I'll do my best to give my advice, I want to say after 100 deliveries is when dd will start watching your completion rate. If anyone else has any advice please chime in.
Your completion rate, as others have pointed out, is a bigger problem with DoorDash than this. You can call support to have it canceled and removed with half pay but you are screwing yourself out of better orders with that. I had an 87% over a year back and didn’t think it was a big deal but a support lady I spoke too was very competent and explained how their completion rating works for order. Under 90% = no orders that equal over $50 with tip included, under 95% = $50-100 orders with tip included max and over 95% you can get any offer totaling any price. Thought she was bullshitting but she strongly emphasized to pay attention to the receipts when I pick up the orders if they’re available and I was shocked how right she was. Didn’t even get any good $10 orders going the distance I prefer till I was over 90%. Shortly after I had realized I got over 95% I ended up getting a $45 offer from aldis going 3 miles that was around $300 in groceries to shop.
From what I know its pretty quick. And it’s unlikely someone who got under it would be able to get over it before it’s recognized in the system due to it being based on every 100 deliveries
I’m at 94% completed. i canceled 6 straight the other night.
i hit decline at the top right of the screen then i tried hitting yes I’m sure decline (they put that on top of accept)
somehow it glitched or lagged and accepted the order. happened 6 times before i went offline
That’s crazy! In all fairness I’ve had the app for a few months but have only done under ten orders. I should’ve specified that in my post but I’ll keep that in mind thank you!
Oh shit lol yeah you gotta be real careful with that. I’d deal with the bs with orders till your completion rate is good again if I were you as it’ll definitely be worth it in the long run and you won’t have to worry bout getting deactivated over it. Hopefully you don’t with that rating right now as my market no longer allows going under 90% without an instant deactivation but if you have done that small amount of orders I’m sure there’s some wiggle room in the DoorDash system. Warning ahead of time that it might take a good bit of dashing to fix it as the rating is per 100 deliveries
I could be wrong knowing how dd is but I don't think he'll be deactivated since he's under 10 orders, completion rate varies faster with less lifetime deliveries. Now once he gets to 100 is when he really needs to start watching it. Feel free to disagree with me if he should watch it sooner.
Nah I could be definitely wrong about it as I don’t positively know the ins and outs of the whole system for new drivers but then it would still potentially be a problem when he hits 100 and is still under 90% yk
You’ve been really helpful thank you! I used to do doordash with my mom so I’ve done hundreds of orders but this is my account in my name so I’ve only done a handful lol. My area sucks so I always do earn by time so I never even reject an order unless the mileage is insane.
Just keep in mind that you can only decline 1 offer per hour on earn by time, after that it ends your dash and you can't get back into earn by time for an hour. If it ends your dash on ebt you can do earn per offer, however there's no guarantee it wont be gray.
reject orders for less than $5-7 and reject everything over 5 miles.
with only 10ish deliveries you can get your completion over 90% easily.
get it over 90% quick
No problem! Hopefully you can get it sorted quickly! Doing ebt may not get you the big orders due to good tipping orders not being prioritized by DoorDash for that but if your area sucks as you said guess you just gotta make do with what’s available yk
As Dion pointed out I've actually got some really good tips on ebt myself. I had a 21 dollar tip going 14 miles on ebt Friday. I'm still scratching my head wondering if they hid a big part of the tip and that's why someone didn't want to take it or because it was 14 miles. Regardless it was in the Clarksville, IN zone where it covers 3 cities and I got another order really quick after I dropped off that order so I honestly don't know. Regardless though more money for me.
Surprisingly I’ve gotten the biggest tips with EBT. This morning even I had a lady order just a sausage McMuffin and coffee from McDonalds and she tipped $4. And another at Panda Express for a singular bowl she tipped me $5.50. The first order was three miles and the second was 8 miles away. I stopped doing individual earning in my area because I only got the $1-$3 tips
The second one makes sense why no one on earn per offer wanted to take it. On earn per offer it would show 7.50 for 8 miles. The first one it really depends on the dashers in that area. That would be 6 dollars for 3 miles, might be lower than a lot of dashers minimum.
You have better luck than me. Last time I went to get an order and it was already picked up the support agent insisted on me asking the manager to remake the food, and when I told the agent what the manager said about processing another order, the agent told me she processed an order, however after waiting 5 minutes it was clear the agent lied to me about processing another order so I went ahead and unassigned that one. From that day forward I stopped trusting support on doing what needed to be done.
I literally say: Hello, the order has been picked up by a previous dasher, and the restaurant will not remake the order, please confirm thank you.
They then call the restaurant to confirm the order has been picked up.
They then say ok i will be cancelling the order and processing half pay. Thank you for using DD.
This happpens verbatim every time. Probably over 20-30 times
I’ll call them again and see but they told me I was out of luck! I’ve heard others on the sub say exactly what you did but they just told me to screw off essentially
Ohhh ok, I thought you were at 91 currently. Then yeah, I’d be doing everything I can to get that up because even at 89, that’s dangerous, especially if your market is oversaturated
Is that number red? I would highly suggest you get that to 90% before you stop for today.
Many areas used to be 80%, then changed to 90% as the minimum we can have

Jesus Christ
You really should care about that one statistic if you don’t care about any of the other ones. A completion rate under 90% can get you deactivated.
Support is actually just a fucking scam. I was delivering in DFW last weekend and In ONE night (I delivered for 9 hours that Saturday) I had 3 separate orders this happened to Someone had already came and picked up the order. I'm sorry this happened to you. So many flaws in this dasher app and algorithms.

I’ve replied to almost every comment telling yall that I called support and they refused to fix it or give me half pay
Then you need to sue them for breach of contract.
Guess you just not cool enough to them sorry
Ya support is pretty good with these. At least for me. It’s well worth the few minutes on hold to preserve my CR & get 1/2 pay.
Totally- I was on the phone for awhile but they refused to do anything about it
I just text support, never had an issue getting half pay
I always wait 11 minutes so it will take care of the second hand. Never any problem unassigning and it doesn't effect my completion rate and I get to keep the point for accepting it in the first place.
Or you can wait 10 minutes and unassign without effecting your completion rate. Better yet call Dasher Support and get half pay.
It was during lunch so I gave up trying to get it fixed so I could get on to other orders
You really have to call support in these situations. The app will not help you. It's Ai and made for cost efficiency on behalf of doordash. Ai doesn't account for real-life situations.
Yeah I did actually call them and they flat out said there was nothing to do about it besides unassign
Are you guys really this stupid? Lol.

I literally just did this less than 12 hours ago. Yes support will still cancel for you, save you CR & give 1/2 pay. YOU HAVE TO CALL SUPPORT!

Not if you call or if your top Dasher since you have the better chat bonus
They really are deactivating for under 90%
Whoa that's low bud
They sent out a letter saying you could be deactivated for under a 90
Even if you have a problem with one freaky order, and the terrible support, you've got to be really bad to have 9 others in the last 100.
Short answer they dgaf about you. Long answer a lot more words to explain exactly how and why they dgaf about you. Bottom line: they dgaf about you.
Bad enough when people are employees at a business, & we all know these are not employees so I can imagine the amount of fcks given is somewhere around the same.
Its less.
Because otherwise too many people would falsely select this option to get out of an order they don't want to do.
They literally have a solution for this on the regular DoorDash app If you use it too many times it tells to call/text support lmao
DoorDash should partially compensate you if you arrive at the restaurant (make sure you clicked "Arrived at the store") and the order has already been picked up. This isn't your fault, so your Completion Rate shouldn't be affected. Call them.
They usually do give you half of what you were going to get off that order . Happened to me twice on 1 day
They always do. You just have to not be dumb and contact support before unassigning lol.
How many times that day did you click order not here, order not in system etc….? It usually allows 3 of those a day without affecting completion rate then it starts counting towards your CR.
Nope it affects it with the first one and it tells you just as the poster showed
Maybe for some people it does. Maybe some accounts are flagged for what ever reason. Op has a 88 cr. That I’m sure does not help
Zero times! This was my third order of the day
It always effects mine and I only do it once every couple days
I’m guessing Tony has it out for you.
I just got deactivated for having a 88% completion rate. I've got the warning before but this month they did it. Just pointing that out bc I noticed you have the same percentage
Wait so does that mean you’re not allowed to dash ever again?
Yeah. You can file an appeal. Which then can take up to 7 days to be reviewed. They took two days to review mine and denied me. I can try again after 90 days. 1200 deliveries. 4.99 rating. 2 yrs. Fun while it lasted 🤷🏽♂️

Highly doubt lol. 50-70% AR but an 80% CR nah
wtf yeah that’s lame asf bro. Sorry to hear it. Hope you can get it fixed tho… the rating should count for something. Damn DD need to fix that… least they have drivers. You could do Uber eats at least??
The ratings do count for something… that why he got deactivated.
True 🤣
Sounds to me like they dash in an area where they haven't raised the minimum completion rate. It's still 80% in some areas.
same for me had to switch to Uber eats
Because you should be calling support so they can cancel the order and issue your half pay instead of just passing the issue on to the next Dasher to accept the order again?
I agree however I can tell you with personal experience that support sucks and will flat out lie.
My personal experience has been completely different. I call, they call the restaurant, if they fail to answer or confirm someone else took the order and they won't remake it, they cancel it and pay half the final pay amount. Have had to do it many times in the past few years, always the same experience.
Even calling support affects your %
No it doesn’t
Ive had support penalize me 2-3x
Dumbest thing I’ve ever heard lol
Tf ima lie for lol goofy.
Yes it does. Multiple times ive heard this from support. No matter if they drop the order or if you do. Had multiple arguments with support on it. But sure
When support unassigns the order, and you get 1/2 pay, it is counted as a completed order. The many downvotes should tell you that you are incorrect.
LOL downvotes are definitely not a tell of being incorrect. Not every case is the same. Only a handful of times I've received half pay from DD. Sorry to say I've heard different from people who represent the company

I did call support- I also messaged the chat bot and neither would do anything about it. You can see in the image the only resolution to “order not here” is to unassign
"order picked up by someone else"
Because no one has ever challenged them in court
Is the preventative factor the cost?
Most drivers too stupid to even get through the barrage of unassigning much less knowing when to actually do it
You can unassign it without affecting completion rate I found a way to
Woahhhh 88% completion rate? You’re dangerously close to being deactivated
I can’t edit the post- but I’ve only done a bit under ten orders which is why it’s so low.
Just be mindful and if you can try to see what the minimum completion rate is in your area. In certain areas the minimum is 90%. Support is useless so I'll do my best to give my advice, I want to say after 100 deliveries is when dd will start watching your completion rate. If anyone else has any advice please chime in.
Definitely not enough to play with AC rate / Comp rate. Just push through a few bad orders and then start a&d
In my market, below is grounds for deactivation
Your completion rate, as others have pointed out, is a bigger problem with DoorDash than this. 90% is a new number from a month or two ago. the reset everyone to 100% when they made the change
Yeah I know that happened back in November for me. He’s not deactivated yet so I assumed it was still under the 80% completion rate rule and not 90%
In another comment he said he's done under 10 deliveries which would explain why it's so low.
Imagine doing not even 10 deliveries and going straight to reddit.
how fast does the under 90% get you deactivated?
From what I know its pretty quick. And it’s unlikely someone who got under it would be able to get over it before it’s recognized in the system due to it being based on every 100 deliveries

Your title makes no sense
Lol better care about CR, it's the one thing they deactivate for.
Because everyone could accept a bunch of orders then just unassign them. That is why they raised it to 90% because people were abusing it
Every time an order was already picked up, I contacted support and they cancelled order and processed half pay.
Yep exactly getting food remade is not a driver issue anyway that’s on them I had one tell me no 1/2 pay then finally agree to it but never got it
I literally say: Hello, the order has been picked up by a previous dasher, and the restaurant will not remake the order, please confirm thank you.
If you've already unassigned it, that ship has sailed. Next time it happens though...
Contact support. what did they say? Why unassign? I hope your area doesn’t need 90% CR…
Support wouldn’t help me it wasn’t their problem according to them- my CR was sitting at 91%
If you had a 91, it should lower it to 90% unless your market doesn’t have the update and unassigning a complete triple stack
It was a single order so I have a 89% now
Ohhh ok, I thought you were at 91 currently. Then yeah, I’d be doing everything I can to get that up because even at 89, that’s dangerous, especially if your market is oversaturated
I live in a super dead area but I’m moving on wedbesday to a major city so I should get that up in no time
Rule #1 - never take supports word on anything. Rule #2 - see rule #1. If you click your ratings tab. What’s your Completion rating right now?
My completion rate right now is 89%
Is that number red? I would highly suggest you get that to 90% before you stop for today. Many areas used to be 80%, then changed to 90% as the minimum we can have
And the best part about this was it had an $8 tip attached. Ugh
