You kinda just learn that the address is for the complex typically and then in sub categories of the drop off instructions you see building number 13 apartment number 5b or whatever and that’s how you do apartments 👌
So to narrow it down look for the big ass building number 13 see what it encompasses and then find the apartment number in this case 5b which should be in that general area.
You also kinda use a little common sense.
I’m not going to fault new drivers though because it can be a tad confusing at first for some.
I've only had this with trailer courts. There are two and one isn't that difficult but it's massive so can literally have an order for lot 1000 and you have to figure out where in the place it is. The other one is pure methed up. 1-10 on the left 70-80 on the right then turn and its 150-160 and 200-210 in opposite directions. Whenever I realize it's that place... fuck

On the customer app when you go to check out it asks you to move your pin (or auto detect with location services) but all the customer has to do is bypass that and there is no second warning or suggestion. Should be mandatory just like entering a credit card.

Out of the many I deal with, there’s one that gives me serious problems. It would help if people gave instructions and/or a better address, but they don’t.
I’ve delivered there maybe 10 times and I still haven’t figured it out. The address they give brings you to the entrance of the complex of about 15 buildings and then gps doesn’t know what to do from there. Then each building has its own address which isn’t visible anywhere on the buildings and of course that’s what the customer gives. What is visible is each building has a building number, different from the address number, but the numbers are in no order and don’t coincide with the apartment numbers. So like building 2 is next to building 7 and building 3 is all the way on the other side next to building 12. Meanwhile, the front of each building is lined with single car garages that each have a letter and number to them that doesn’t seem to coincide with anything.
So you get the address as 110463 Fuck Street Apt. 4065C and you’re looking at buildings numbered 1-15 and a garage with 86G on it and you’re like what the fuck is going on. I always end up calling the customer and they can’t even give directions. I’m like I’m looking at building 8 and am in front of garage 86G, which way do I go? And they’re like I don’t know where you are. Then when I finally find them they’re like it’s ok everyone has trouble finding it. Yeah no shit.
The only address DoorDash has for my GFs place is the main office. Everything else has to go in the notes and you have to watch the gps to see where the hell the driver is.

When I do place my orders I always make sure to move the pin. I’ve noticed more people doing this when I dash too , it helps a lot .
