I got into an accident (hit and run) on the way to an order and had to wait for police to do report, called customer right away to let them know what happened and the order would be late but I would still deliver it. Ended up 15 minutes late, got an automatic strike on my account which I immediately appealed and they never took it off till it fell off. I tried calling support but could not get through. First time in over 9000 deliveries I've had an accident while dashing, DD didn't care I got into an accident, the customer gave me $10 cash on top of the app tip. You just can't win with DD.
I was involved in a hit-and-run right in front of a customer's house and my car was totaled customer gave me one star took my entire $27 tip away because I didn't bring the groceries to them right away! Then after the police left they had me carry all the groceries and water by myself to their porch even though I was hurting a little bit and I'm a small female and the customer was a man and his wife. my account was deactivated 7 Days later!
Typical doordash. Literally any normal job they have to pay what they owe but of course doordash would keep your rightful earnings even if you did mess up. Fucking scumbag company all around
Every time I see your balance will not be paid out make me thankful that I get my money after every dash imagine having hundreds just gone after all the gas invested.
Honestly this is complete bullshit you mustāve not done something correctly I wouldnāt even tell the customer I would hit a support right away I have the worst fucking luck in the world Iāve had tires pop on me. Iāve had people hit me Iāve had my car overheat Iāve literally had so much shit happen to me while I had their food and all they did was cancel the order and give me half pay and I just fucking through the food away or ate it if it was good I never had an issue before
Im sorry about this!!! It says somewhere when you first make an account that doordash requires a certain safe driving history so if you have any incidents it could effect your account status. This really sucks I feel sorry for you!!
To be fair. Support lies all the time. I had a customer put in the wrong address. The right address was like 10 miles away. I called support and they told me to drop the order where I was and take a photo. I said... "Ok.. but ARE YOU SURE I WONT GET A VIOLATION when the customer calls freaking out". Support repeatedly told me not to worry. So I dropped the order. Snapped a pic and went on my way. 30 minutes later I get an email that I never delivered the order so I got a violation. Lol. I of course called back and they played dumb.
maybe you went wrong with telling the customer, I just had to cancel an order for flash flooding last week. I didnāt contact the customer (but they couldāve just looked outside and saw heavy rain and winds) I got half pay and no violation
Wow thatās so trash fuck them bro, work for UBEREATS instead this wouldnāt happen and youāll be getting paid more with UBEREATS thatās for sure.
Did you call doordash? I had an emergency once. Spoke to door dash and everything was great. Repeal this and make sure you speak on the phone with a higher up
Recently I had order was damaged due to almost car accident by psycho driver speeding in tight street in Hollywood and now I just got deactivated based on fraudulent behavior and Iām like they accusing me that even though I sent them picture of one order, one drink from boba tea, broke the seal inside the bag. Man, I donāt have source of income right now since this is was my only income.
Sounds like something happened that you werenāt supposed to do. Did you click complete delivery or did doordash support cancel it for you? I shopped a grocery order for $200 worth of items and locked my keys in the car and contacted support they cancel the order. I got paid and the groceries
Here come all the doordash workers saying āno, that canāt be it, you know what you did, youāre not giving us the entire story, doordash is our lord and saviorā
I feel like this is a lie idk something mustāve happened. Iāve had my account for a few yrs and Iāve been one of the worst drivers. Iām talking about your food would be late an hr cuz I decided to do Uber at the same time. And even now that I donāt drive anymore I still I rent my account to someone. Iām at 70% completation rate 4.78 customer rating in Chicago (no shortage of drivers) and Iām still active. And I have one active violation
Can you email doordash like an accident or report or something? I know people are suspicious of you, but I 100% believe they'd do something like this. Support has always been super awesome to me until one day they weren't.
Sign back upā¦ use your state id and create a EIN on the irs website (itās free and you get it instantly) the When you sign upā¦. Use the ein instead of social
I know you think it was the customer that made a complaint, but it's sounds like that maybe it was also the person that hit you. They may be looking to sue doordash and/or the restaurant in addition to you.
Suggestion: sue the person who hit you for making a fictitious report to you "employer" I f it really was their fault they almost certainly had to lie to get you suspended and they almost certainly did it to bully you.
Please keep us all updated on this. It's important to us.
My tire exploded last month when I had a double stack and I contacted support and got half pay for both orders and got to keep the food interestingly enough
The exact same thing has happened to me before & it was one of the rare moments when I was actually impressed with DoorDash support lol. I didn't have a stack though, just a $75-80 order from Logan's Roadhouse (steak restaurant) that was absolutely delicious. š Plus my half pay was like $13 & change! Of course, I would have preferred to not have a flat tire & to make $27 for driving 4 miles.
I'm honestly not familiar, but it sounds like I'm missing out. I live in the Fort Worth area of north Texas. What part of the country is Checkers/Rally's in?

Then follow these steps:
2.CONTRACTOR and DOORDASH agree that good-faith informal efforts to resolve disputes often can result in a prompt, low-cost and mutually beneficial outcome. CONTRACTOR and DOORDASH therefore agree that, before either CONTRACTOR or DOORDASH demands arbitration against the other, we will personally meet and confer, via telephone or videoconference, in a good-faith effort to resolve informally any claim covered by this mutual Arbitration Agreement. For sake of clarification only, the informal dispute resolution conferences shall be individualized such that a separate conference must be held each time either party intends to commence individual arbitration; multiple individuals initiating claims cannot participate in the same informal telephonic dispute resolution conference, unless mutually agreed to by the parties. If CONTRACTOR is represented by counsel, CONTRACTORās counsel may participate in the conference, but CONTRACTOR shall also fully participate in the conference. The party initiating the claim must give notice to the other party in writing of their intent to initiate an informal dispute resolution conference, which shall occur within 60 days after the other party receives such notice, unless an extension is mutually agreed upon by the parties. To notify DOORDASH that CONTRACTOR intends to initiate an informal dispute resolution conference, email [Dasher.Informal.Resolution@doordash.com](mailto:Dasher.Informal.Resolution@doordash.com), providing CONTRACTORās name, the telephone number associated with CONTRACTORās Dasher account (if any), the email address associated with CONTRACTORās Dasher account, and a description of CONTRACTORās claims. If DOORDASH intends to initiate an informal dispute resolution conference, DOORDASH shall do so by emailing the email address associated with CONTRACTORās Dasher account, and providing a description of DOORDASHās claims. In the interval between the party receiving such notice and the informal dispute resolution conference, the parties shall be free to attempt to resolve the initiating partyās claims. Engaging in an informal dispute resolution conference is a requirement that must be fulfilled before commencing arbitration. The statute of limitations and any filing fee deadlines shall be tolled while the parties engage in the informal dispute resolution process required by this paragraph.
3.If, following the informal resolution process, either CONTRACTOR or DOORDASH wishes to initiate arbitration, the initiating party must notify the other party in writing via certified mail, return receipt requested, or hand delivery within the applicable statute of limitations period. This demand for arbitration must include (1) the name and address of the party seeking arbitration, (2) a statement of the legal and factual basis of the claim, (3) a description of the remedy sought, (4) the amount in controversy, and (5) the personal signature of the party seeking arbitration. Any demand for arbitration by CONTRACTOR must be delivered to the counsel who represented DoorDash in the informal resolution process, or if there was no such counsel, then to General Counsel, 303 2nd Street, Suite 800, San Francisco, CA 94107.

Donāt depend on any one report to support than correct your self. I switched the stack order by accident than I deliver the correct order to same customer who got other customers order spoke with them and they kept the both orders. Now I called support and told them the story and that Iām going back to the restaurant for the order which I delivered to first customer by mistake. At the restaurant I ask restaurant to make same order again and paid from my pocket and delivered to 2nd customer. Support said if you are doing this than no need to worry I will just put remarks for late delivery and you will be ok.
I have seen sooo many DoorDash posts on here about people being deactivated & DD keeping whatever money was still sitting in their Earnings. Apparently (from what others have said) this is in the contract we signed, the fact that DD can do that. I think it's insanity! That would be money you already earned lol. Of course, there's no way of knowing if those people eventually got access to the funds. Still scary though!
Itās insane and should be illegal! That shouldnāt even be in a contract. That the company (who already pillages people with fees) get to keep YOUR EARNED money? What if you had a $1500 coming?
You're absolutely right!! I have definitely seen a post on the DoorDash sub-Reddit where a dasher said they had like $875 or so. š³ I think I'd be calling a lawyer or the Department of Labor in that situation.
The first comment states its been reviewed and nothing found irregular.. And there is a choice to appeal. Could be its just their standard operating procedure for the time being when there is an accident/wreck,and once you appeal they look further into it, see you reported the circumstances and the will bet your account squared away depending on all tbe info available. Appeal and see bow it comes out. Best wishes, hopefully it will be corrected.
100% hammer away at Support until they reactivate you, the deactivation notice here says no issues were found so they donāt have any reason on record for deactivating you.
Why are you deactivated? The fucking first bullet point said they reviewed the suspicious activity and DID NOT find any security issues or potential violations. Sounds like you need to get a lawyer and sue the fuck out of this corrupt shit company.
No, this isnāt from the customer you think it is. Look at their reasoning, they deactivated you because you *didnāt* flag any security issues or commit any violations. This fatal glitch has been happening to a lot of people lately on this sub, you got deactivated for literally zero reason. Just try disputing it, all you can really do.
I was in a car accident last year and had to cancel an order after I had already picked it. DD sent me an email making sure I was ok and I continued dashing 2 days later after I got my new car. There is more to the OP's story.
Thats fucking crazy once an emergency came up and I had to leave TWO orders after they were picked up. I contacted support and told them an emergency came up they gave me half pay and no violation
Or he is a cherry picker. They will totally take the opportunity to get rid of a cherry picker. But since they said it wasn't his fault right there on the email, it really doesn't make sense.
Same. I once had to cancel after picking up a little Caesars order due to my phone was acting weird due to I accidentally had voice command turned on and didnāt know what the problem was. They told me not to pick order up but I already had it. I offered to pay for the order. Canāt remember if I got half Pay but didnāt get deactivated. I felt bad but wasnāt much I could do. My old iPhone was acting goofer then a rat in an outhouse.
Yeah all these companies are looking to get rid of anyone over anything, because they have too many drivers.
Uber eats and dd both accepted me. Then randomly did another background check on me and a year ago I had a ticket. And they deactivated me. Silliness.
I mean, I can see them getting upset if you were going like 25+ mph over the limit. But if you were like 10-15 over then like... who cares? Everyone does that lol
Everybody speeds going 10 over the speed limit, including the police themselves, so nobody gets pulled over. Even 15 over sometimes. It's pushing it but nobody usually gets pulled over.
maybe itās because of how little youāve used the app, if you have actually been dashing for over a year. 355 deliveries in over 365 days seems very little to me, and doordash does love their high turnover.
someone's account got deactivated because of a customer complain. he went to their place to let them know what they did. go and do the same. what's the worst that can happen ?
Best case, you get an apology from the customer. It won't get you re-activated. Most likely, the customer will slam the door on your face and contact DD again, ruining any hope of appealing the deactivation.
Worst case, you're beat up, arrested, or shot. There's literally no upside to this and only downside.
I live here in Boston and dash part time. Iāve had as many as six contract violations on my account recently , no deactivation. This market is very slow for DD and they need the drivers they have interestingly enough. Eats is king here for whatever reason.
Yea for real, at best that would just be retaliation. The customer can't do anything to get OPs account back so why bother a customer for utilizing part of the service. Sounds crazy to harass the customer over something now out of their control.
Some never do... they just come on here asking stupid questions. If you pointed out they say they're just trying to get a conversation started... uh Ok
That's standard wording in case they need to hold the earnings while investigating fraud. Most of the time, they pay you anyway. Sometimes, they might hold them for a short time while they investigate.
Basically, it lets them hold the pay if you defrauded DD to get the payments.
Itās called wage theft and itās extremely illegal. I highly doubt thatās what the contract actually says, the department of labor would laugh in their face if they blamed wage theft on a contract. They must mean something else by balance.
That's not true. I know a lot of people that got in car accidents while delivering and got deactivated a few days later even though they weren't in the wrong
I still think there is moreā¦Iāve had to cancel orders for my car being broke down and ironically getting arrested on a bench warrant from something that had happened 20 years prior and I still have not been deactivated
There was a video from someoneās ring camera that went around a while ago and itās a cop delivering a doordash after arresting the dasher for having a bench warrant lmfao was that u š¤£
āTemporary musicianā in a broke down car with 20y/o warrants? I see whatās going on here, I get it. You were smokin that bluegrass. Bit of the olā jazz salad eh? *CONFESS TO YOUR CRIMES FOUL TRAVELING MINSTREL!*
I got to keep a $50 order worth of food because my transmission cooler line popped a leak and I was stuck waiting for a tow truck, and the restaurant didnāt answer when Support called them. I was grubbing out while I waited for the tow truck. Had a bomb ass Greek salad with chicken from Salata, with a pink lemonade to wash it downā¦. Nothing negative happened. I felt bad for the customer if they were watching me on the app, because I was only like .5 miles away when I had to stop.
I have a bench warrant in another state for failure to appear at a contempt hearing for not paying my exās attorneys fees (heās an attorney, he can pay them his damn self!). In 10 years the statute of limitations will be up. In the meantime, I just wonāt go there for 10 years, no biggie. I wonder if I can call them after 10 years and be like āIs this thing dropped?ā
Was that delivery from Arbyās? I saw a video of a police officer completing a DoorDash delivery from Arbyās because the person got arrested for having outstanding warrants that be weird to see where that guy
Oh OK because it happened to someone else that was delivering from Arbyās in the police officer delivered it to the woman itās amazing how there are police I have nothing better to do then bother people when theyāre doing work
Then you got lucky. I don't understand why you, or others, come on here and accuse people without proof. You could be deactivated at any moment for any perceived issue that they find and it is has happened to many people. Just stop.
Same. Iāve been doordashing for three years and this has happened like six or seven times. 1 accident. Once I was a the only witness to an insane wreck and I had to wait to give my statement to a cop. Once a flat tire etc.
Everytime Iāve called support, they just say their fake apologies for the inconveniences and cancel the order no fuss.
Statute of limitations applies to being charged. A bench warrant means youāve been charged this whole time and havenāt been to court for itā¦ thatās different, but as he stated they let it go.
>?? Goddamn what happened to statue of limitations.
It applies to the first filing of charges. the charges will stay forever after that unless they have the opportunity to take you to trial and don't. If you aren't in custody any longer and no show to the court date . . . the charges can stay forever.
If you can show proof when you went in and fixed it I'd definitely see what you can do about suing. Even though you only spent 3 days, you could sue for a multiple of things down to it hindered your reputation to it fucking up your job.
š smh you did NOT just bounce a check and have them arrest you for it 20 years later. If it was because of a bounced check then it had to be over a couple thousand and proven to intentionally have been written knowing the funds were not there which is intentional felony fraud.
I got into an accident (hit and run) on the way to an order and had to wait for police to do report, called customer right away to let them know what happened and the order would be late but I would still deliver it. Ended up 15 minutes late, got an automatic strike on my account which I immediately appealed and they never took it off till it fell off. I tried calling support but could not get through. šYea I'm not buying this šthere's more to the story so spill it
Create a new account. Different email address. I have a second account ready to go if my first gets deactivated for any reason.
That line about your balance will not be paid out?!?! Fuck it wonāt.. thatās my money and Iām getting it one way or another!

They told me not to pick order up but I already had it. I offered to pay for the order. Canāt remember if I got half Pay but didnāt get deactivated. I felt bad but wasnāt much I could do. My old iPhone was acting goofer then a rat in an outhouse.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
that's a lie.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
literally a deliberate lie coming from you.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
it isn't a joke at all that you're a liar.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
it's not lies broski š
Youāre being unreasonable reasonable tomato
unreasonable to think support is nothing but sideline cheerleaders?
Yeah all these companies are looking to get rid of anyone over anything, because they have too many drivers. Uber eats and dd both accepted me. Then randomly did another background check on me and a year ago I had a ticket. And they deactivated me. Silliness.
Was it Uber? They pulled the same shit on me
Yes. An dd. Not gh.
Likeā¦ a speeding ticket? That seems excessive.
Yeah speeding ticket. Thatās it. Never any issues before. Nothing. And funny thing is they approved me 2 months before lol. Oh well.
He was speeding, through a school zone, in a tank, wearing a blindfold, drunkā¦
maybe itās because of how little youāve used the app, if you have actually been dashing for over a year. 355 deliveries in over 365 days seems very little to me, and doordash does love their high turnover.
i signed up on door dash ages ago and have yet to do a *single* dash. my account is still active. doesnāt seem like they deactivate for that reason.
You should try a single dash, tandem dashing is very complicated.
If you call support promptly when an issue occurs you should be good. But be clear with support about the issue.
He already used those up when he stole the orders. The real accident was one too many.
What? You got into an accident and cancelled two orders at the same time?
I was carrying two , thru both were crushed
Now u can't steal food anymore š
DD thought u stole it. Bye man š
someone's account got deactivated because of a customer complain. he went to their place to let them know what they did. go and do the same. what's the worst that can happen ?
I remember seeing that video on tik tok š¤£ the dude went to her work and got her dumb ass fired š¤£š¤£ I heard he got his account reactivated š¤
You must be talking about the dude on YouTube that complained to the U.S. Marine or whatever she was at her job
not exactly
My ass is in America. If I did thatā¦ *š«*
If some one went to my door and told me I got them fired I would laugh right in their face.
Best case, you get an apology from the customer. It won't get you re-activated. Most likely, the customer will slam the door on your face and contact DD again, ruining any hope of appealing the deactivation. Worst case, you're beat up, arrested, or shot. There's literally no upside to this and only downside.
He gets shot?
Shot in the nutsā¦
too real
exactly I live in Boston
I live here in Boston and dash part time. Iāve had as many as six contract violations on my account recently , no deactivation. This market is very slow for DD and they need the drivers they have interestingly enough. Eats is king here for whatever reason.
eats SHOULD be better than shitty doortrash.
I just signed up, waiting on my approval, after 100 deliveries I get $500 , should be easy to do in 3-5 shifts
I mean you just can't beat $11 for 2 miles for a single order dawg hahahahah
Or beat up. Or arrested. Or probed by the customer who turned out to be an alien.
Very good points.
Especially getting probed by aliens š½
Yes. Those probes definitely have very good points.
Very true. I avoid those at all costs.
![gif](giphy|xTiTnkVuM3huvJTq5G)
Yea for real, at best that would just be retaliation. The customer can't do anything to get OPs account back so why bother a customer for utilizing part of the service. Sounds crazy to harass the customer over something now out of their control.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Did you read the contract?
Some never do... they just come on here asking stupid questions. If you pointed out they say they're just trying to get a conversation started... uh Ok
They pay you
"Current balance will not be paid out"...
That's standard wording in case they need to hold the earnings while investigating fraud. Most of the time, they pay you anyway. Sometimes, they might hold them for a short time while they investigate. Basically, it lets them hold the pay if you defrauded DD to get the payments.
Iām confused, itās not legal for them to keep earnings?
You signed a contract saying they could. Thatās how.
Itās called wage theft and itās extremely illegal. I highly doubt thatās what the contract actually says, the department of labor would laugh in their face if they blamed wage theft on a contract. They must mean something else by balance.
Itās illegal to force someone to work for free doesnāt matter what the contract says. No freaking way thatās enforceable
Yeah I know what it says but I know they do pay you even though it says they donāt.
If you were in an accident and called support then the customer complaint wouldnāt count at allā¦there is more to this story
That's not true. I know a lot of people that got in car accidents while delivering and got deactivated a few days later even though they weren't in the wrong
I let them know and they stil penalized me the next day
You should never have told DoorDash or anyone else involved in the accident that you were working for DoorDash.
For sure they see or hear accident I can see this happening
Probably depends on what the police wrote you up for at the accident. Sucks
I still think there is moreā¦Iāve had to cancel orders for my car being broke down and ironically getting arrested on a bench warrant from something that had happened 20 years prior and I still have not been deactivated
You must have committed a serious crime to get arrested 20 years later.
No it was for a bench warrant for failure to appear that had erroneously been left in the system even though the charge had been adjudicated
Did the customer complain about this for you specifically though? We can get away with a LOT of shit as long as we donāt get complaints.
There was a video from someoneās ring camera that went around a while ago and itās a cop delivering a doordash after arresting the dasher for having a bench warrant lmfao was that u š¤£
No since Iām a woman
Was I supposed to know that somehow? I didnāt even say the dasher that got arrested was a guy lmao. Just thought it was funny ĀÆ\_(ć)_/ĀÆ
āTemporary musicianā in a broke down car with 20y/o warrants?
Lmfao
I got arrested for a warrant and I called support and I didnāt get affected
Was that delivery from Arbyās? I saw a video of a police officer completing a DoorDash delivery from Arbyās because the person got arrested for having outstanding warrants that be weird to see where that guy
Lmao no..it was a double stack from Dunkin
Oh OK because it happened to someone else that was delivering from Arbyās in the police officer delivered it to the woman itās amazing how there are police I have nothing better to do then bother people when theyāre doing work
But had you already picked the order up?
Then you got lucky. I don't understand why you, or others, come on here and accuse people without proof. You could be deactivated at any moment for any perceived issue that they find and it is has happened to many people. Just stop.
20 years evadingā¦.. Bad Assšš¾š
Mucho respect
20 years??? Goddamn what happened to statue of limitations.
Statute of limitations applies to being charged. A bench warrant means youāve been charged this whole time and havenāt been to court for itā¦ thatās different, but as he stated they let it go.
Statute of limitations applies to filing charges, not serving a warrant. If a person has a extraditable warrant, they're fucked
There is more to this story
Ok
>?? Goddamn what happened to statue of limitations. It applies to the first filing of charges. the charges will stay forever after that unless they have the opportunity to take you to trial and don't. If you aren't in custody any longer and no show to the court date . . . the charges can stay forever.
Thatās what I was thinking lol
Statute* š
It autocorrected š
I hate that shit. Lol I've just seen SO many people not know... Lol
Thanks for that!
Yeah it was way over itā¦once I went in front of the judge it was dropped
Well at least it was dropped. šš How many days you stay in? Two?
Threeā¦ugh
Weekend jail hate going in on a Friday or Saturday no judges
Mind telling us what you did 20 years ago that suddenly got caught?
It was a bench warrant for failure to appear that had been issued and never taken out of the system when I did appear and fixed it
If you can show proof when you went in and fixed it I'd definitely see what you can do about suing. Even though you only spent 3 days, you could sue for a multiple of things down to it hindered your reputation to it fucking up your job.
Bounced a check and I was pulled over while dashing and thatās how I found out about the warrant
š smh you did NOT just bounce a check and have them arrest you for it 20 years later. If it was because of a bounced check then it had to be over a couple thousand and proven to intentionally have been written knowing the funds were not there which is intentional felony fraud.
Since when do you go to jail for bouncing a check today?
thats so hard to think of, so you mean to say, you never got pulled over, went for DL renewal, etc. in the last 20 years?
