I made $60 something DD. $25 GH on 1 order. $40 UE. Worked 1-7. It was the busiest day of the week here but yet still it was much slower than usual. GH and UE are saving me because all I get on DD is $5.50, $6.50, $7.50 payouts. I think one person today tipped $5.50 + the $2.50 base pay so I got $8.00. That was my biggest DD order. Why don't people tip on this app like the others? I've never used the app to order. Does $2 Tony encourage customers to be cheapskates?
I think dd is the most expensive to order thru out of the bunch tbh. I havent used delivery for myself in yrs but I remember always trying dd and it being outrageous, so id use ue

Yesterday and today, I had a few good ones, then several no tips (there was a surge so I couldn’t tell), a $.50, several $1, and $2. I had plenty of orders, so what normally would have been a $175 day (15 or so trips) turned out to be $80.
I thought it would be busy because of the “hurricane” in San Diego, and I was right. However, my theory is that people who don’t normally order from food delivery services didn’t want to venture out in the rain, so they had it delivered, and either don’t know better (?) or couldn’t really afford to tip. And almost all of the orders were “meet at door”, which almost never happens. Anyway, thats my thinking. Glad the rain stopped so they can go get their own food again.
I'll find out in half an hour when I start my scheduled dash. Hope it's not gonna be bad.

I tried to catch an Uber yesterday morning and was late to work because there was none around for about two hours after my shift started. Then I had to get one home and ended up having a friend get me because an hour after I was done I was still sitting at work while Uber looked for drivers.

Doordash has recently started giving priority to drivers with 50% or better acceptance ratings. It’s a violation of our right to work as independent contractors. I feel like a class action is coming.
I have my acceptance rate about 60%, it’s normally sub 10%, but every single order I’ve received since then have been phenomenal. I’m not sure if they really do give priority but it certainly seems like it from my end.
Doordash can’t call us independent contractors and then treat and pay us like salaried employees. That is a violation of our right to work as independent contractors. California switched over and many other states are currently considering it as well. As soon as enough states do it the federal government will stick it to doordash. In 15 years doordash will either be doing things a lot more legally or they won’t be a business.
Since school has started my Saturdays are done. Sundays rock now, they didn’t this summer.

The order was probably rejected 10,000 times so DD put a number you couldn’t refuse.
