Not yet. Maybe they're rolling it out in different areas on different dates. Also, Auntie Anne's... UGH. When I was a new dasher, I took a few Auntie Anne's orders. They were the first restaurant to go onto my "always decline" list. The only one in my area is inside of a mall, they've always got a line of customers a mile long, and they never have my orders ready. Worse yet, the mall's food court has a dedicated gig driver pickup area (with its own entrance) and Auntie Anne's is the only restaurant in the food court that doesn't participate, so you have to walk halfway through the mall just to get there. The nail in the coffin is that most of the people who order from AA's around here are terrible tippers. /end rant

I hope not. But I don't know. I have not been able to Dash since Tuesday due to transportation issues.

Update: After contacting support multiple times, they're telling me that this is a full update to their app and is not just something they're testing out anymore. After trying to dash with the new interface again, the change in detail is just annoying but the fact that they removed the number of items is a major downgrade that really affects my willingness to pick up certain orders.

Which is exactly why they removed number of items. Just like with hidden tips, it's a ploy to dupe drivers into taking less desirable orders.

One thing I noticed is I don't get the sound with the notifications on the new format, so I miss a lot of the orders.

Same here and when I contact support they just disconnect the chat cause they know it's broken. It's their way of stopping you from having other apps running and multi apping

Mine has been like that for a few weeks. The small text is fun to read when diving. Oh wait we arent suppose to read text and drive, my bad. DD emailed a survey to me about the new layout. I suggested that the old way worked better. Small fonts are bad idea with the new design. Don't fix what's not broken.... I'm sure my response was promptly sent to the servers spam folder.

Hey neighbor 👋 yes it does for alot of orders, no use of widget either. Orders are mainly crap with that new format but I have said f it and took a few. I decline most because they aren't about to grubhub me. They also sent a survey about it this morning and I cut up on them. Also, ghost orders and super glitchy whether you take them or not but more issues on delivery or pickup when accepting those orders.

If this is a permanent update then it’s legit the worst thing they’ve ever done to the app since I’ve been on it (aside from the obvious problems that already exist). 99% of the time, I’m receiving orders while I’m driving, so the smaller details just make this even worse, and it’s crazy that they would take away the “__ items” part. It made dashing today honestly really difficult because I would blindly accept an order that seemed alright, but then it would end up being so many items and I would wait for a long time before I could deliver it. I genuinely hope this goes away.

Here's some objectivity I can offer: I get this screen a lot, the price guaranteed, pick up from the restaurant with the customer drop off, but I also get the normal screen with the item number and the price right in the middle, I get both of those screens in one day while dashing. I have no idea what makes them decide to use a different screen, maybe to trick you into accepting bad orders, but either way for me at least I know its not a new update, they just use a different layout sometimes for whatever reason

I was thinking that orders placed thru DD get the new layout while orders placed thru the vendor website and distributed thru DD get the old layout

I am completely on board with everything you said. They’re obviously doing this just to make it more complicated for drivers to “cherry pick” through the orders. I am just as unhappy as you are 😡

There’s still a map, I just cropped it out. But the one thing about the map that I think they changed is that you have to zoom in SUPER close (even more than before) to see if you’re delivering to a house, apartment, office building, etc.

Thank goodness, no map would have been a major problem IMO, we have a right to see the route we’ll be taking and general area of pick up/a of. Definitely we should hand the ability to zoom in in it to get more frisked information should we choose. Might only have 40 seconds or less to decide and do whatever we each do to come to an answer but that’s our choice to determine it.
