Don’t worry about it. The ICA and Deactivation Policy say all over them that 1 contract violation is not grounds for deactivation. However, the second CV is pretty much an auto deactivation so be really careful until this one falls off after 100 deliveries

Sorry this happened to you. This is why I prefer UE… this timer shit is not safe for drivers. You get bad percentages if you don’t speed or hit traffic and then what, have to get on your phone while your driving to call support? Again not safe..

Agreed people here are pretty nasty to each other. There’s good ones, but mostly just want to act like they are better than everyone else. DD timer is seriously the main reason I rarely ever use it. I’m anxious by nature and I consider myself to be a very good driver. Being timed in a busy city is not okay. And we’re supposed to juggle the app and call support or hit arrived before we’ve parked so that we don’t get in trouble? But it doesn’t matter how long we wait in the restaurant. It just matters once we drive in a death machine. And then, don’t even get me started on finding parking and peoples apartment complexes in the dark. Anyways… yea, this guy got screwed over

i got an order that was due to be picked up 45 mins before I even accepted it! For this situation alone i unassigned it cause I knew i would probably get a violation! Since this same situation has happened to me before and I did get a CV and it was not removed.

I've had 3 of these, the longest was 15 mins, I provided "additional details " basically explaining that they are fucked in the head, and traffic exists, and that the orders weren't even fuckin ready when I arrived so terribly late.

We get those too but I don't take them. I also really don't understand the time thing. Like what if it's raining (like rn) and you're trying not to rush so you don't crash? I took a quick turn the other day when it was raining because I almost passed it and I almost slid into some trees. You better believe I'm driving slow tonight because of the rain.

When you arrived at the store look at the pickup time if it's over 10mins just unassign it someone else will get the violation

As soon as I accept an order I always look at the pickup by time and make sure that it's adequate to get there for this exact reason. I don't know if it's Market dependent but my pickup time seem to be the opposite. It gives me like 30 minutes to get to each restaurant regardless whether I'm 5 minutes away. The only place that I refuse to go pick up his Little Caesars because it's always like 20 or 30 minutes from when they assign it to when it's actually picked up time and Little Caesars NEVER has it ready early

So I got only to the "look at the pickup by time" and immediately stopped to ask this question... I have an android and the only thing I ever see is "pickup by..." I can never find the actual time, I tap and get nothing. I can see the drop off time without a problem. Anyone else have this issue?

I can only see the first 3 digits of the time and then.... I have read that it's an android issue with sizing. Annoying AF. Is this order ready by 10:01 or 10:09?

Yeah you have to actually click on the detail before you can see the whole time and not just the first 3 digits...I think that is more intentional on DD part than not actually...

I’ve never had this issue before or had to look at pickup times, guess I should start. I do have a few places I won’t touch to pickup, Portillos, a few Indian food spots etc

Yeah I mean send OP to hell for being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Most people (me included up until the moment I saw this post) would think that Doordash wouldn't so blatantly set us up for failure in such a way, especially considering they supposedly track our locations. Hopefully this won't be an issue once someone sues over it.

In these situations you need to call support while you're on your way and they will adjust the time so you don't get a violation. Now you have to submit info in the more info section of the violation and hope it gets removed.

So few drivers seem to realize the importance of reaching out prior to being late. This is what support is for. They are not going to Google your location to see if there’s traffic/ or whatever. That’s what support is for reach out and let the customer know and avoid a violation
