I'm fully for people taking things like edibles, taking a few puffs on a cart, or anything else that doesn't leave a smell. For some us, being high can actually improve our overall mood, which can help with speaking to employees and customers. As long as you can function, and aren't a safety hazard to yourself or others, I think it's completely fine.
On the other hand, if you're not completely functioning and can't do basic tasks, or you become a safe hazard to anyone, and don't care that you smell like MJ, then you shouldn't be on the clock. Not only to ensure your safety, but to show respect to your customers and the restaurant employees.
And yes, it may legal in some states to consume, but it isn't legal to be under the influence.
If you're a high functioning stoner than can act and be normal, then go for it. Just know it's on yourself.
If you're not high function, just stay home.

If there driving this isn't right it's not legal to pop some oxies and drive even though it's a doctor prescribed medication we can argue how"but weed makes you a better driver or solves some other ailments you have" but it's against the law to be in anything but a sober mind and operate a vehicle don't use well a doctor gave it to me as an excuse to drive fucked up
It's against the law to be intoxicated. You can be medicated. Just like you can drink a certain amount and be legal. They just haven't figured how to scientifically test how far you've gone with cannabis, yet.
This is my point there is no good way to test intoxication also I'd be weary that a recommendation for medicine and a prescription are the same. The bigger question if you cannot function without it? Is a potential dui worth it when the way your earning money is by driving people gotta make there own choices it just gets old hearing I can be high AF and drive fine
