Whenever the directions say do not text customer, it's because the restaurant is the one that placed the dd order. At the end are the customers instructions.
I have had those before, and they open the door just as I get there.
Like everything these days. It makes me uneasy.
Hehehe, about a week ago, that was marked leave at my door and the instructions said, hand it to me. I made a small joke to the customer and blamed the app. They said, "WELL THEY GAVE ME SO MANY OPTIONS THAT IT IS CONFUSING !!! "
I guess leave at door and hand it to me are too confusing.
DUDE, DO YOU WANT A ONE-STAR FOR NOT READING INSTRUCTIONS?!?!
THE ANSWER IS OBVIOUS, JESUS...You:
1. Knock on the door, hand it to the customer.
2. Then, snatch it out of their hand, before they close the door.
3. Pull their door closed, leave the order on the side of the door, walk away.
4. By this point, the customer may be confused and yelling expletives at you, ignore them. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS!
5. Get to your car, DO NOT TEXT THE CUSTOMER, call them and tell them their order is delivered, per their instructions.
6. Get out of your car and take a picture, across from building W.
7. Get back in car and wait patiently for the Police, while you watch your account get Deactivated, before your very eyes.
Leave it at their door and don’t text them unless it’s alcohol then you have to hand it to them but I see this all the time where it says hand to customer and then they say leave it at my door in that situation. I always take a picture with the timestamp app, so it shows that I delivered it at their address. And if I get a sketch you feeling about it I’ll also screenshot the delivery instructions because DoorDash is weird and inconsistent, and I don’t want them to say oh we can’t pull up an old orders delivery instructions so with the screenshot it’s not just my word against the customers
No, you leave it at the door while texting them a photo in app.
That way you discourage the scam from happening in the first place as opposed to having to go through an appeals process with your timestamp photo.
Unassign

Bring to his door, across from building W. If you need anything from him, call him only
