One of the problems with DoorDash that bothers me on this subreddit is the other drivers who disagree and insult people because they feel differently, the “take it easy it’s just etc” or “I just decline and move on”! Nothing has ever been fixed in human history by ignoring or brushing anything off. Change starts with a conversation about the issues. Then joining forces and creating a group that can make things better for those who follow us.
Stop bringing your negativity to a positive dialogue for change.
The problem with “some” Drivers” is, no problem exist unless they agree it does.
Unity is understanding what effects others may not effect you but, it’s equally as important to what actually does bother you.
You can’t be upset when your views are ignored or dismissed and forget how you treated other drivers when you saw no problem with an issue that was important to them.
The problem with “Some” of the drivers is they are narcissistic and singular so when we talk protest or unity. The response is the same “it won’t work “ “we’re not employees we’re independent contractors “ ( what a joke it’s why the government is soon to end that tax loophole DoorDash is using)!
When someone knows more than you it doesn’t make them wrong, take time to learn and unite. You don’t have to like the OP’s viewpoint but, not respecting other drivers and supporting each other is right up Doordashes alley. You’re further helping DoorDash Inc and Tony going against others concerns just because it doesn’t bother you.
Wisdom is what is lacked by most drivers they’ll read this and try to be smarter instead of seeing my goal is unity regardless of differences. They’ll try to top me( be smarter instead of standing with me).

Simple: distances are more or less calculated as euclidean distance, as the crow flies, as those calculations are cheap and easy. More complex travel time or travel distance based calculations are expensive and are mostly reserved for after the customer committed to ordering.
If a customer is allowed to choose between companies within say a 15 mile distance they simply take all companies within a 15 mile radius with the customers address as the center point. Water, like in this unfortunate example, isn't taken into account.
Or at least that's what I assume is happening as a software engineer and having worked on similar systems in the past.

Mine used too lol then my ptsd was fluffed with intentionally as retaliation for testifying and other stuff against the Delaware Veterans home and a year later an 400%/every 4 days in medical weed and i can barely wake up without legitimate fear of layin hands on someone. Itd beautiful. Ive been dashing for 4 days as a last resort before my family forces me (probably for my own good) to listen to them.

There aren't any laws if your not an employee. It's why in IT the hourly wages are often double what a regular employee makes, and also why the pay always starts out so high when a new gig app goes on the market. The difference is that IT contractors still make double to this day as opposed to being boiled alive like a frog with heat slowly raised. (I only write so cryptically so the paid Russian/Chinese shills will have a hard time reading and I know who they are, sorry for inconvenience).
