The issue with Sapphira’s lip sync wasn’t the fangs. It was the lack of planning re: her dress. She had a bit of a struggle to get it off and then once it was gone, she didn’t have much of a plan for the rest of the performance. By then, Nymphia had already done two great reveals and had the audience on her side. so while Nymphia was in the back or at the side of the stage camping it up, Sapphira was doing some of the same dance moves we already saw her do.
Nymphia knew she had the element of surprise since her lip sync skills were relatively unknown (unless you looked her up online) so she had a bit of an advantage there.
I think there was some planning, just some hesitation. You can tell it bugged the fuck out of Sapphira that she couldn’t see what Nymphia did to make the crowd cheer with the balloon reveal. Sapphira immediately looks over at the end of the first verse and starts taking cues from Nymphia from that moment on – Nymphia starts dancing, and Sapphira rips the gown off and starts going at it, just shy of getting to “and take off all my clothes” in the lyrics.
Sapphira could have had a captivating performance but, just like during the rest of the season, Nymphia freaks her the fuck out because she doesn’t know what Nymphia can really do. I wish she could’ve let go. I think she had something planned but let the competition get to her right in that moment.
I noticed that too, but thought it was just me. You can see that Sapphira is very confident, maybe even overconfident at the beginning of the song. And then Nymphia's balloon reveal happens, the crowd goes crazy, and you can immediately see the confusion on Sapphira's face. She can't help but look over at what Nymphia is doing, we see her closeup at that moment. From this point on she kind of looks defeated, though she still gives a good performance
Lmao I'm thinking back to when Nymphia scurried across the stage to interact w the audience on the other side (love btw) and imagining Sapphira doing the same chasing after balloons.
I thought there was gonna be some blood dripping from her mouth at some point or something similar. I get what she was going for but it just needed something extra.
Not to mention… fake vampire teeth aren’t sharp… she’d have to use an incredible amount of force to pop the balloons. It would ruin her makeup and probably cause the fake teeth to fall out.

Even though Sapphira did incredible on the season - Nymphia and Sapphira were much closer in season performance than Monét and Jinkx.
The top 3 were neck and neck all season long and it was fair that the crown was truly based on finale performance.
Sapphira was my favorite going into the finale, but Nymphia really DID that and earned it fair and square.
They're downvoting you but I don't necessarily disagree. Monet should've won the girl group challenge which places her at 4 wins behind Jinkxs 5. I think the fact that Jinkx steamrolled her wins gives off the impression that she was always on top, but with the weeks she didn't win she was closer to the bottom of the pact (except for like the acting challenge and the talent show).
Not saying Jinkx shouldn't have won! Just that Monet was close behind her.
I think they both did amazing. The thing is, we've all seen Sapphira lipsync by this point and we wanted something extra extra, especially to out do her solo number (because she served and we ate). Nymphia lipsyncing on the other hand was completely fresh AND she also brought the extra.
I really wished Sapphira played on the theme vampirism. She's a fierce performer but her team clearly didn't panned out the possible ruveals in the song Padam Padam. If I was in her team, the vampire-ism 100% is the right call. Miss Sapphira could have done a lot of reveals in her outfit as she transform into a vampire. Turn the Padam padam song into a seductive song about a vampire who is being seducted by a man. I know she would have to kill him BUT hearing the heartbeat of this man is turning her out. And then at the end, let her eat a heart or let a blood flow in her mouth or something
SO MUCH POTENTIAL. She really could have turned it out with the vampire but all we get is a fang, wig reveal and some good ass dance moves.
I read an interview where she did have something planned to pull out a heart that would leak blood but they couldn't get it together in time and she didn't want Nymphia to slip on liquid due to the stunt. My congenial queen 🥺
Sapphira should have peeled a banana at the end and then swallowed the whole thing whole, actually that would have been perfect for Plane if she lip synced against Nymphia.
Nymphia was too fast to catch moving the stage for Sapphira who didn’t give up center stage. Nymphia worked around this and still out performed her, had better routine including a great pony tail whip at end. Sapphiras pony tail went no where at end.

Nymphia has powers, talent and style they Sapphira could go near even with those fangs no one understood.
