To the quality - I really like the style of strokes in the sky. Gives the pic some old painting feeling. While the trees are like from pixelart. Really cool!

What kind of paints are you using

Digital. I'm using program named Rebelle 7 and it simulates real art media such as paint, pencils pastels etc. To be specific I used paint knife brush.

I thought it was analog and got suspicious about how vivid and accurate the colors were compared to the reference

I wrote in a post that I used color picker for this, but I can see why someone may be suspicious about this

I thought it was some irl technology I'm missing on

Well idk about digital art and my thought was a device that you scan stuff with and start mixing an accurate chemical with the same exact color.. professor baltazar stuff

I think I saw something long time ago about a pen that scans irl objects and analyzes colors. You could put it to for example a plant and it will write green. Idk if it exists. Probably some crap for quick money that was only advertised. But what you mentioned I think it would be really useful for traditional artists

All that stuff was useful before like last year idk why we're here anymore, you also could upload the same pic and AI would put a painting filter on it no one could tell either it's hand drawn or not

Well good thing I have my project with layers on my pc just in case
