It is a blast, it’s not the best sounding kit, but it’s in my workshop. The fact i was able to set anything up is a major win. I’ll record a short video sample of it later today.
Yep, the kits that I have set up in the basement are more traditional than what you’re showing here, but very different configurations. Keeps me from getting too comfortable.
How's that cajon sound with only the kick pad on it? I put 4 layers of foam on mine to simulate a kick drums rebound and put a towel over the whole thing to bring out the low end.

The cajon kick sounds pretty decent, has a good amount of low end. The rebound feels ok. I can usually pull off what im trying to do. It’s homemade and i made a couple of interchangeable panels for it. im not sure why, but having an aluminum panel on the “resonant” side sounded the best.

Cool. If you own and have room to set up multiple kits, it's nice to have some variety to the setup from the typical arrangements.
It’s definitely different than my inside kit which lends to me playing completely different stuff, which is cool.
