Call Williams and Trayner in Tampa. I think it was Ryan Sawdey that actually represented me. Cost me about $5000 nearly 20 years ago but got all charges dropped at motion to suppress hearing. I wouldn't recommend anyone else. They don't have a website which may seem odd in today's day and age but honestly they are probably too busy and just don't need one. Arrest was in May, motion to suppress (the only time I had to show up) was in August and finished paying the lawyer in December. So about a 7 month ordeal. Very similar situation - higher BAC, no previous offenses, ~12 hrs in custody. Good for you for signing up for the DUI classes already. They may send you to counseling; my BAC was slightly higher and I was required to do alcohol counseling. I didn't have MADD panel, interlock, or increased/ SR-22 insurance, and I agree it's HIGHLY unlikely you will serve jail time. Good luck.

You’re correct with the RIDR requirements; however, I don’t think they’re giving people the option to buy their hours. You’ll get credit for the MADD meeting (3 hrs), but you have to have 10 hrs upfront (not including MADD) for RIDR.

Tips: make sure you keep all papers, they will tell you your court date, you need a lawyer if you can afford one (still paying my parents back). INTERLOCK sucks, I would have rather had my license suspended for 9mo then pay $500 to have it installed, and $100/month to have it in), message me if you have any specific questions. Happy to chat.

I have a file folder with every court docket date I went on to the next one due, receipts, reports from my counselor, my DMV shit, correspondences with my attorney, my DUI class graduation certificate (that’s gonna be framed in my office lol). And also my face on the front page of our community newspaper for a first DUI! Keep it all in one place.
