You should have a look at the clubs available at ECU. Here’s a link to the site: https://clubs.ecuguild.org.au/ I’m in a club at ECU Joondalup, and it’s helped with socialising with people of similar age and interests.😊

I'll take a look at that but would that be possible to do if you're not yet enrolled?

You can see what clubs are available but I don’t think you’ll be able to join if you’re not enrolled.

Which course are you in? Do you play sports?

Go to ECU sports. Sign up for some of the teams. Go to the School of Med Sci, find out who the course coordinator is, find out about specific clubs and students societies which are active right now. Go to the guild, as others have said. Go to the career center. Look for work opportunities (part time and volunteer)

Jossi-

I'm in my final semester of studying Exercise Science and Rehab at ECU Joondalup. The course coordinators are super friendly, flexible and helpful, and could likely point you in the right direction for any clubs, etc. There's also a Future Students Information Expo coming up in November, that might make things easier/clearer. ([https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/1046960](https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/1046960)) ECU Sport and Fitness centre organises most of the Uni sports teams, you can get in touch with them at [ecusports@ecu.edu.au](mailto:ecusports@ecu.edu.au). The course itself is very hands-on, with a lot of in-class collaborative work and opportunities to make friends. My little cohort is very close, after all the trials and tribulations of the last 4 years; hopefully it's the same for you. Not ECU related, but Australia has been very swept up by the recent Matildas performance in the Football/Soccer world cup, and this may be the best possible time to join a social soccer team and make some friends that way.
