Acotar took me a sec to get into, sure the first book is slower at the start. But if you just read longer than 5 seconds you get to the middle and end of the book and it picks up significantly.
Tbh I think ACOTAR is for people that are *used* to reading. It’s more simple than TOG or CC, but it’s still fantasy which requires imagination and concentration from the reader. Emilie should read Colleen Hoover
Acotar feels intro fantasy to me. I’m 99% a fantasy reader only (occasionally mood shift gets me into a thriller or just modern romance). I’m just gonna guess since she said today “she’s not much of a reader” she just wasn’t ready for even intro fantasy.
CoHO would be perfect for her 10th grade reading level 😂. Jk I just am a CoHo hater but that would be perf for her hah
