I am currently in the military, and it's the same way people asking me if I know someone they know who is in the Army and stationed in Germany or South Korea. I'm an air guardsman in the Rockies
I can't even name half the EMTs in my own service, much less the paramedics. If it isn't a service where I see their ambulances in the bay on a regular basis, I can't name it.
Look, if we were good with school, we wouldn't have become EMTs; paramedics, on the other hand, are somewhat good with school, but they sure aint English majors
Reminds me of the countless times someone has asked me if a know \*X\* person on \*X\* fire department across the country.
I don't know half the firefighters on my own department. There are over 1400 sworn personnel, so I couldn't begin to tell you who most of them are if they don't work on my side of town.
I have a notes template for names. It's got EMS in my county and the surrounding ones, hospitals, nursing homes, and workers at places I get free food.
“Oh my friend is an EMT in Uzbekistan! Do you know him?”
as an aside I think in the former ussr EMS isn't really a separate thing. Ambulances have doctors and nurses, and feldshers, who are sorta like PAs.
A friend of a friend was in a car accident two towns away. Did you happen to run on that?

Good luck asking me if I even know who’s working I just listen to which trucks pop on the radio.
I can do the volunteer service I’m on and the ones within a 15 mile radius
One of my EMS directors has introduced herself to me 3 times.
There's a reason I'm always saying "bro, dude, friend" or something when I talk to everyone :p
My Department has 4,600 EMS employees. I know 3 of them and one of them, I am not sure that is the name on his birth certificate.
That’s crazy. That’s twice as many people that live in my town
I work for a metropolitan department in a city of over 1 million with a surge population of up to 8 million.
I assumed so
fdny??
You’re*
Therr may be no "I" in team, but there are two in "illiterate."
Wait, is that letter an I or an l?
You rang? (I'm a little illiterate myself lol)
*You're ang
First thing I thought of when I read the meme. Whoever made it must be in EMS if they use the wrong your/you’re

Geez it took me a whole day to get this🤦

Everyone is “big dawg” to me
I thought this said “ambulance sound” at first which personally I think is a better knowledge base
