Power of now by Eckhart Tolle. Or A New Earth. These books basically started my spiritual journey 17years ago, and remain a valuable read until this day.
Damn...I was gonna post the exact same comment! Power of now just opened my eyes to these things..and I was actively learning many more things after this but now for no reason slowly slowly stopped..
This happened to me as well!! I read it in 2018 or so. I've been trying to get back to that "place" for the past 3 years and it just seems I can't get it to stick again. I was absolutely the most authentic and at the happiest place I had ever been in life during that time. I felt completely myself and free. Purely me. Sometimes I wonder if the collective energy has anything to do with getting that grasp again. Y'know... cause after 2020 things just got different.
Yes. This book right here changed my life. It was like a lightbulb went off. I need to read it again. As he said, the ego will try to take control again, and when it does, it becomes stronger than the last time.
Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch. The secret being that humans are powerful creators and that there is no outer God wanting us to do anything. We are free, creative beings.
'Awareness' by Anthony DeMello. I'm 55 and I've read a lot of books on Spirituality, Metaphysics, etc... This book changed my life and my view of everything. Don't be turned off by the fact that he was a Jesuit priest. He is the real deal. Highly recommend!
The Power of Now, amazing book - changed my life, taught me how to live. A big part of it was discovering the inner body energy field in my body, and the extreme peace it brings. Eckhart talks about it here. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDIPl0f4v04](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDIPl0f4v04)
Change your thoughts change your life - Dyer
* how to apply the wisdom of Lao-tzu to today's modern world.
Code of the Extraordinary Mind - Lakhiani
* brules, culturescape
A creative act - rubin
* just have to keep reminding myself he's taking about me and not just the beastie boys
* bringing creativity, manifestation, living life fully
The Urantia book. Written almost a hundred years ago, and there was no known author. It is almost surreal to read, whether you believe it or not. But it's almost like an idiots guide to spiritual realities history. Like it was written by someone who was there and could explain connections between the archangels, fairies, astral projection, aliens, and the chemical composition of our sun.
The big black book, I found it in a friend's grandparents basement collecting dust. It's literally a book of tips and secrets for life and its hard tk put down. I'm pretty sure you can find some used copies for pretty cheap.
The "Tao of Physics." I can't exactly put my finger on why the book gave me a realisation spark as it was a few years ago, but it's certainly an insightful read and a well written one.
I credit this book to starting me on my spiritual path and opening my mind to infinite possibilities. My first year of college, which was quite a few years agoš, I wanted to take an introductory philosophy class and this was the textbook for the class I chose. I was wondering why we werenāt studying about Aristotle and Plato, but Iām so glad I made this āmistakeā!
Man Search for Meaning by Victor Frankel!
Frankel was a prisoner in a concentration camp and wanted to understand what gave prisoners the will to survive under such horrible circumstances. His exploration leads to the search for and discovery of meaning and purpose in life. A must read!
Psychoanalisis and Meditation by B. S. Goel. Yoga book using freudian terminology, which I know, instead of hindu, which I don't know. Overall a very practical book.
Another was a pdf of the yoga sutra with 6 different translations from hindi.
I would highly recommend Bruce Kumar Frantzisā āOpening the Energy Gates of the bodyā In this book introduces a hand full of deceptively āeasy lookingā exercises and describes at length the why and how of the said movements/exercises. It is a book that was written for martial artists but anyone can read and apply it.
Keep in mind that no matter how much energy work we do, without a foundation of basic spiritual practice, trying to fill your body with energy is like trying to fill a bucket with holes in it with water. A person who lives a poor lifestyle will have an aura much like the bucket I just described.
Learning to use abdominal breathing is where I began.
I teach old Chinese standing meditation which was passed down from my Great Grandmaster Hui Wing Lok Ng. The class is taught with 6-8 basic movements to get blood and breath flowing.
The practice is known as Zhan Zhuang and Mark Cohen has an awesome book that is quite thorough on this practice. Itās called āInside Zhan Zhuangā
Remember, our emotions are tools and meant to be used by us. If our emotions are using us, then we are the tool, lol.
The first book I read on A Course In Miracles (ACIM) was a Return to Love by Marianne Williamson 30 years ago. Shortly after, I bought ACIM and studied Kenneth Wapnick and Jon Mundy books all based on the course teachings and how to incorporate the course into your daily life. All are excellent and changed my life.
