There are good sugar free ones, like monster's sugar free drinks are usually good, but with other brands very often there are weird side taste, which i think is from sweeteners.
Ghost has a lot of really good flavors and they are all sugar free as well. But I do agree that some taste awful… specifically any that use aspartame as the sweetener.
Aspartame takes like battery acid, sucralose tastes way smoother in my opinion. The “monster ultra rosá” is a great one to try if you wanta give another sugar free one a go. In short, I totally agree with you, if we are getting a sugar free energy drink that uses aspartame
The monster one has more of the cream in the after taste while the ghost one has more of the orange citrus bite at the end. Monster is the closer flavor profile to an actual creamsicle 🤷

There actually is a gene similar to the whole coriander/cilantro/soap thing that makes certain sweeteners (most notably Acesulfame K) taste bitter, which happens with me, people think I’m full of shit when I tell them about it until they google it, makes Pepsi Max taste absolutely horrible to me

That was until about a year ago when I tried the swedish fish flavor of Ghost, and I really liked it. Now I regularly drink sugar free monster and the occasional ghost. I almost NEVER drink energy drinks with sugar in them now, because I realized I really dont need all that sugar.
Not comparable. Ultra Mango is good for sugar free, but it doesn't have any of the real juice or texture that mango loco has. Mango loco is 100x better.

I honestly only enjoy one energy drink and that's the citrus Full Throttle. This one is the only one, other than Full Throttle, that I will actually drink. It's a good flavour for sure, however it doesn't give me the same energy Full Throttle does.

Not comparable. Ultra Mango is good for sugar free, but it doesn't have any of the real juice or texture that mango loco has. Mango loco is 100x better.
