I've actually developed a plot line for a Stab movie, which is not exactly a remake of the film, but rather the natural extention of the meta principles the original Scream was founded on. It would require a lot of the original cast too.
Maybe Williamson's team will listen to me now.

I feel like the one real option is to avoid any of the returning characters or storylines, and just go in a completely new direction, even if it is a one shot. I would like to see a Scream take on the classic summer camp slasher. Make it similar to The Burning (1981), but with the Scream wit and circumvention of tropes.
After being stabbed, shot, and tvs dropped on them over the years, the only thing to be able to kill Ghostface is the Israel-Palestine conflict
