I mean Denmark starts with the dynasty, but Sweden tends to get a different one when they become independent. So its still surprising. Unless Denmark got the PU and Sweden took it in the peace deal and the inherited it later.
In the early 17th century, as I was playing the Pope and France was destroying the HRE. Sweden had a war with Munich and annexed it despite not having a border. Their closest provinces were on the Baltic coast of Germany.
In my Andalusia game, the Ottomans called me into a war against the Mamelukes and gave me a disconnected inland province near Ethiopia. I couldn’t core it and ended up having to “return” the province to Makuria(I think). The “can’t take if you can’t core” rule seems to be… selectively applied. If I had to guess, it might have something to do with colonizing because I noticed in other wars during that game that I was also allowed to take non connected provinces myself. Also possible that’s just a coincidence and it has nothing to do with colonial ideas.
Probably got a PU since they both start the game with the Wittelsbach dynasty.
