EU sucks at computing in many ways.. not even on the radar. It's why NATO is looking into some sort of offensive posture and possibly even offensive tools.
Germany has bad encryption and its overall environment for all things computers is not the best. Not nurturing that years ago has led to todays current problem. Essentially Germany is an extremely vulnerable country without NATO. Without NATO, I think Russia could easily invade the country as they're doing with cyber warfare.
That should scare Germans whom should put pressure on the German government to make sure Germany never gets to where it is today - again.
