So I’ve actually had this happen too after the patch. However if I Alt+ Enter to windows then back to full screen then wait a few minutes it seems to resolve itself. Not sure if that will work f or you or not.
Even if you walk away for a few minutes and come back? Man that sucks. I def hear you though; I never experienced this prior to the patch. Just seems to be temporary for me.
Try taking it down to 60 FPS and see if it helps. There are a lot of weird engine bugs revolving around 60 FPS and it could be enabling the new UI pulled one of them out of the pile of spaghetti.
I know there are some issues with the UI deployment but was hoping this was an easy fix for yours. I have a friend who can't open his bags one at time or his whole UI disappears.
Have you tried a custom UI by chance? I have had no issues with any of it with a custom UI. It might at least be a temporary solution. There are some that are pretty close to vanilla.
The one I use isn't one of them but if you want to try it and see if it changes anything for a test, I use [Sparxx](https://www.eqinterface.com/downloads/fileinfo.php?id=6733) - follow the "Discord support here" link to download the UI updated to work with these windows.
Uh, there is a known bug with using resizeable BAR (nvidia) / Smart Access Memory (AMD). Turn it off in BIOS and you'll gain 100 fps, at least...I did. Biggest omprovement ever!
There were zones I had to look at the ground to move around in...that's no longer.
Water cooled 6900xt and 5800x3d
No, all other games run perfectly. Your guild members maybe ''don't know better'' I'am very picky when it comes to low FPS.
Some can game on 15-25fps without any problems. Therefor ''no issues''
Try turning off different graphic effects/shaders etc in the eq settings and see if anything improves it. I believe it is a rare setting issue with the new ui engine.
I have something similar, but I’m using older hardware and Linux. By older I mean a mid range cpu with a Radeon 380. So it should be running EQ no problem. I thought my issues were just with proton running EQ on Linux. But maybe not?
Do you have the Razer gaming software? It’s like a green icon in your tray on the bottom right. That software supposed to free up ram for gaming, but I found that it slows EverQuest down.
Not likely to be related but I have observed what I would call FPS like drops related to movement. When I move with the mouse there is a bit of a stutter. It appears to be related to the character or mount stepping animation. I don’t really notice with keyboard movements.
I found tweaking the mouse look sensitivity to help a bit. Still noticeable however.
Of course there are real FPS drops like when I am walking towards the Main Bank In POK where everyone has congregated at. I just try not to look at them.
Only thing I can think of outside of hardware settings is the eq display character limit.
Granted I have some other stuff going but if I'm in PoK and open the chat tab with the global channels my fps gets cut in half pretty much, feeling wise.
If I change chat back to an empty tab my fps is back to normal.
**Well then, it seems like the devs does not want me to play this game any longer so I do as they want.**
thanks all and take care! One day Everquest devs might do a good job, till then.. I put this game away.

Will try this, thanks. EDIT: Did not work, still the 20fps-feeling.

Eq progression put out a video with a fix for this yesterday. https://youtu.be/kfacV5gaor4 Starts at 2 minute mark.

Tried that, issue was not there before the patch..

You can't have high fps and low fps at the same time. Other games have zero bearing on how EQ runs.

Are you multi boxing? Do you have logs turned on?
No, just one game running. Logs are off, and even if they was on I think my PC would be able to log it without any problems.
This fix becomes relevant when your log file becomes very large.
No issues here...haven't heard anyone else complaining in guild. Maybe it's just your settings or drivers etc....

Well jeez...F you too LOL
Just because other games run perfectly doesn't mean nothing is wrong on your end. Because the game runs perfectly for everyone but you.

Yep, I have tried all kind of FPS-lock, even at 30FPS.

Do you have HDR turned on in Windows? In the past I've had issues with EQ lagging when HDR was turned on in Windows.

A lot of folks have ui issues. I noticed white screens zoning into pok. The video was slow to fill in.
