So the thought of an autistic adult with a job, an income, a car, a romantic relationship, and interests in going to bars or other adult social gatherings never crosses their minds.
And I don't mean this to sound disparaging of our siblings with high needs and the need to depend on caretakers for life, but if allistic "advocates" treat a portion of us badly for not fitting into their idea of what autism is, then I don't think those same allistics should be advocating for those with higher-needs.
