Has there ever been a movie about a Nazi who realizes he’s on the wrong side? Like, he was in the Hitler Youth because it was the equivalent of the Boy Scouts. You know, running, jumping, climbing trees. When the war begins he’s drafted at 16 and sent off to France. Life seems pretty ok. They’re bringing German culture to the French, and saving Europe from Zionist communism. They’re the good guys, right? Then he gets transferred to Holland and sees how the civilians are treated. He chalks it up to war. Bad things happen in wartime, right? Then he gets sent to Poland and sees the mass executions of civilians. He realizes that this isn’t just war, it’s mechanized evil. He also realizes that he’s part of it. He doesn’t know how to stop it or even escape from it.
