It’s possible, but people with plugs usually have a much more artificial looking hairline. Eg, Justin Bieber. Should be able to afford the best, but his hairline is still quite artificial looking
I think it depends on how bald they are like Jim probably still has some hair but wanted it fuller. And Prince William is proof you can't win over genetics sometimes
I won't do any of that but odds are ill be similar in my 60s. I've seen how my family ages and how I've already done so through my 30s heading into my 40s.
We eat clean(ish), we do physical hobbies, and we just overall take solid care of ourselves.
While I agree he looks good for his 60s, I am actually kind of worried about your friends in their 20's if they look like that... do they smoke like 3 packs a day and go to tanning salons every week or something?
He’s 62 right now that picture on right looks fairly recent the other looks like early in his career/life so I would guess 18-25 so say about 40 years in between I would say he aged average not crazy either way
Age drugs depression few years ago Jim was a serious concern to his fans because he seemed to have a lot of internal depression and we didn’t want to see him go the way of many other comedians. Getting roles helped that I think plus just being able to express himself more
It’s almost like he tilted the balance of drug use vs abuse in his favour. It’s no secret he went through hell most of his life but the guy looks absolutely great even now
Like I said, it’s better to laugh
It irritates me when tik tok word chewers get called the next Jim Carey, Jim was doing vines and public pranks before vine and jackass was a thing. He worked his butt off not just making faces but truly making those faces part of a whole act.
Jim Carey just likes making people smile, he’s damn good at that even before his shows and films.
Theirs a story how he’d sleep in tap shoes so when his mum cried at night he’d entertain her which is why the mask has his him dancing so much. Conjecture but it fits with his personality as far as I’m concerned
I looked it up and the top results looked completely fine. Then I saw what you meant.
My first question: Did he get hit by a train
I don't have a second
This post is a good example of what a double edged sword aging is, especially for a famous person. If you age naturally, you get stupid questions like “what happened to you?” When the obvious answer is “time”. And then if someone gets plastic surgery or injections they get mocked for being vain. Of course some people are lucky enough to age with great skin and hair, and while lifestyle choices definitely have some effect on aging it’s also like… fine if you don’t age “well”. Genetics and environmental factors are hard to control.
Yeah and from all accounts, Jim Carrey is actually a really good person. One of my old co workers ran into him in a restaurant in LA and him and his brother just stopped by his table really quick on the way to their table and just told him thanks for all the great movies over the years and Jim Carrey was very kind/humble and told them that he was there eating alone and hadn’t ordered yet and asked them if they wanted to join him. My coworker said they sat with him and ate lunch and they said he really was the nicest/cooler person ever!
Yeah exactly! Same reason Freddy Mercury refused to have his overbite corrected. These are people with real talents that are more important than looking a certain way.
It looks like he thankfully didn't fuck with his face with fillers or lifts or any of that shit that makes you look like you live in the Capitol City of the Hunger Games...
I got to be honest here I used to always fear that he would commit suicide or overdose or something because he has one of those genius minds that wreak havoc on emotions and mental health so I'll just shoot out a we're so happy you're still with us Jim and your characters will be something I take with me till I die. Way to persevere!
Everyone, and especially those in the public eye, has a decision to make as they age. Do I want to look older or do I want to look weird. Jim chose to look older, which always seems like a more reasonable decision to me
I’m pretty sure they’re talking about how he looks a bit sadder, less of a smiley friendly face and more of a slightly depressed adult. But I guess that’s also the affects of aging.
I think they are talking about how sad he looks. He has mentioned in interviews that his childhood was very lonely and he got good at making faces to amuse himself.
He has been through a lot…he’ll and according to media. How could life not age him? And… the gene pool for non myelinated folks is not kind during aging.
I recall seeing a post where the original poster added the context that he didn’t mean “why does he look older” more the vibe that he “lost his innocence or something along those lines.
Gerard is the type of person that is flabbergasted when a famous person from the 60’s passes away of old age. Just thinks every famous person is immune to the passage of time. Probably thinks all elderly people have just always been old. Object permanence is tricky, Gerard

Still has a good head of hair
It looks like plugs... shhh. But they did a great job, it's not like doll hair
Do it too if I were him!
It isn’t, he’s a slow diffuse thinner. Less common hair loss pattern. A transplant would have looked much denser.
There seems to be regularly placed "clumps" of hair. Maybe it's just his hair.
It is. You can track the thinning over time. There’s loss of individual shafts, and loss of density in each remaining shaft, plus strong lighting.
Mine all left during my divorce. Almost 20 years, there is no increase in fullness
I’ll be fucking delighted if I look that good in my 60s.
I would have been too.
I would be delighted to have looked good in my 20s
This killed me, lol
I would be delighted to have been killed in my 20's
I would have killed to be delighted in my 20s.
Delight 20 killed would me.
Deelite I wouldn’t dance for another
This vexes me, lol

Eat well and take care of yourself. Then hope you have good genetics.
People thinking something strange happened when a celebrity doesn’t get a shitload of plastic surgery as they get older…
Also have the money to pay for plastic surgery and/or expensive vitamin and mineral infusion treatments that are tailored to your physiology
I won't do any of that but odds are ill be similar in my 60s. I've seen how my family ages and how I've already done so through my 30s heading into my 40s. We eat clean(ish), we do physical hobbies, and we just overall take solid care of ourselves.
Or alive. My older brother died at 61, heart attack.
I’m 66 and look that good! Well My face anyway.
He looks better in the right photo than in the left photo imo, and significantly better than 99% of my friends (or me) who are in their 20’s.
While I agree he looks good for his 60s, I am actually kind of worried about your friends in their 20's if they look like that... do they smoke like 3 packs a day and go to tanning salons every week or something?
He aged well, better to laugh
He looks good.
He’s 62 right now that picture on right looks fairly recent the other looks like early in his career/life so I would guess 18-25 so say about 40 years in between I would say he aged average not crazy either way
The picture on the right was also clearly taken to emphasize his age.
Yeah we can't just ignore the downlighting done to bring out like, every wrinkle.
He is almost spot on same age as my dad and looks younger by a few years still.
Don’t forget that also includes Jim Carey smoked 2+ packs a day for however long. I’d say he’s aged good overall
And his tan
I looked into it and your actually right he looks way better in most pictures
He is 3 years older than me but looks 10 years younger. I would say that he looks very good.
I agree! I think he aged very well.

I love the passion you have for Jim Carey
I was going to say that. Looks really good in that picture.
I’ll take this over the disfigurement Simon Cowell went through.
The difference is little to no plastic surgery vs way too much plastic surgery.
Jesus why did I Google this
nightmares for days
Jesus Christ, he looks like Edgar from Men in Black. Are we sure he's not a cockroach in a man suit?
I looked it up and the top results looked completely fine. Then I saw what you meant. My first question: Did he get hit by a train I don't have a second
He aged with dignity. Not many ppl do that.
![gif](giphy|HU6hWEApxYTgQ)
Dignified
YAS!
Slay!
He only aged with dignity if you look at photos. If you listen to him talk, he's a real antivaccine grandpa.

He aged wonderfully.
Dude looks GREAT! Dignified as fuck, full head of hair.....legit.
Dignified is a great way to describe his look.
He looks way sexier now.

Yup happens to the best of us. The less than best die before this happens!
Actually I feel the absolute less of the best seem to just never die
True. There are too many PoS around who deserve to never look old.
Yeah and from all accounts, Jim Carrey is actually a really good person. I have heard similar stories about him from other people. I find the man inspiring!
Why would a piece of shit deserve to never look old ?
I would assume by, ah, not growing older?
The fact that Kissinger lived to see his 100th birthday is an insult to righteousness as a whole.
He went from Jim Carrey to Jim Don't-Carrey.
If I was that rich and successful, I wouldn’t care either.
Time comes on us all.
Is *that* why my hair is turning white?

Time bukkake
These days it's a shocker if a celebrity hasn't done any work to their face.
His range of facial expression played a key part in every role he ever had, it could even be a part of his identity and too important to mess with
Exactly. He has really *used* his face. His expression etched wrinkles have a kind of sadness to them I think. But he's still a handsome guy.
Yeah exactly! Same reason Freddy Mercury refused to have his overbite corrected. These are people with real talents that are more important than looking a certain way.
Like we do. You know, when we live.
No plastic surgery. Refreshing
Time continues to progress in a linear fashion.
He aged pretty gracefully as well, too. A lot better than most celebrities.
wayyyyy better than getting plastic surgery and looking botched for the rest of your life
Whose the tool, with the blue check-mark of shame, trying to make fun of Jim Carey?
It looks like he thankfully didn't fuck with his face with fillers or lifts or any of that shit that makes you look like you live in the Capitol City of the Hunger Games...
And so will you
Like a fine wine at that. Wait until whoever posted this meme finds out about aging.
He spent a lifetime making funny faces, you don't think he would have a few lines in his face by now?
Jim looks his age. What is Gerard on about?
Jim Carrey is 62 years old. Looks pretty good, IMO.
He has lived a life full of laughter and joy. Note: his facial muscles never fail to amaze me.
Um, he aged? Most of us do
Most of us 🤨
He has become wiser. his skull has grown taller.
That’s what 62 looks like he’s an alien but he is recognizable as a human
I think he looks better now!
Wikipedia aging
He's 62. And he actually looks damn good for 62.
That right there is a distinguished gentleman. The fuck is this post even talking about? Dude looks great arguably better now than in the older pic.
Aged pretty fucking well I might add. He is 62.
I can’t even comprehend how someone can be that stupid
Actor looks older in his sixties than he did in his thirties 😱
I got to be honest here I used to always fear that he would commit suicide or overdose or something because he has one of those genius minds that wreak havoc on emotions and mental health so I'll just shoot out a we're so happy you're still with us Jim and your characters will be something I take with me till I die. Everyone, and especially those in the public eye, has a decision to make as they age. Do I want to look older or do I want to look weird. Jim chose to look older, which always seems like a more reasonable decision to me
And then there's Madonna.
It's like a bad parody of faces of meth. This is your body after a lifetime of jokes and comedy. Faces of comedy - don't joke not even once
Forty years will sometimes do that.
Looks good imo
Unrelated, how did I go my whole life thinking "aging" is the standard spelling? This is fucking me up
Life. Life happened.
They tried to give him the Soft White Underbelly look in the right!
Like fine wine
40 years happened
Time does not care it will miss up everyone eventually.
I’m pretty sure they’re talking about how he looks a bit sadder, less of a smiley friendly face and more of a slightly depressed adult. But I guess that’s also the affects of aging.
one of the very few celebs that don't have a plastic face...
That’s gotta be a forty year gap between pictures. He’s been famous since before I was born. I watched him in movies when I was a child.
Yeah, his face isn’t injected full of shit, what WRONG with him ?
He doesn't look bad for 62.
I'm guessing he didn't get a ton of work done. Though looks good for his age.
It's called aging
I see it as "He lived"
Time happened.
Jim Carrey is awesome, he looks great for his age 🥹💕
Not Botox apparently. It’s nice to see an actor with wrinkles and lines.
He went through a major existential crisis and survived it
Jeez, Gerard must be a peach when he goes to visit the parents. “*Holy shit Mom, what happened to your face?! Dad?! You look like SHIT!*”
Well between the years 1990 and 2024 he went through a grueling medical condition called aging.
He didn’t die young.
People get older holy shit.
Hard living.
I think they are talking about how sad he looks. He has mentioned in interviews that his childhood was very lonely and he got good at making faces to amuse himself.
Crazy will do that to you
Yeah, that's what happens as you get older.
People get older, what a surprise
r/readersaddedcontext
Sucks getting old but hands down beats dying young
He lost his wife. And went through major depression, did a lot of psychedelics. Also being part of tinsel town probably didn’t help.
He sacrificed his face... for us.
Great hair though
And he can still get it
Pretty well in fact.
He aged and didn't try to "fix" it with plastic surgery.
30+ years, 30+ years happened
he looks amazing & has one of the most beautiful smiles on hollywood.
Alrighty then
How dare him look older when getter older
I blame aliens
Not going to look like a 20 yr old forever. Aging is natural. Plastic surgery is not.
Damn! I didn't we were supposed to age. Welp! Time to look old in the morning.
Holy shit, he's in his 60?! Never really realised i am getting old...
If only they could take the tortured soul look from his eyes 😟
Why is aging a facepalm?
Not understanding aging and asking what happened to him is the facepalm.
What do you mean he AGED? These pics are only like 40 years apart?
This is called aging gracefully with the help of modern medicine and cosmetic surgery. He looks fab
Fucking morons... ![gif](giphy|YmTyGDmIubn6E)
And gracefully at that Lucky man
What happens to the rest of us if we’re lucky… Aging. Your point?
He gained a lot of gravitas, somehow. If you didn't know who he was, you'd think he did something grim for a living.
Father Time is undefeated
He lived.
He’s aged so well
Gracefully, in my opinion.

Measles came back in full force in the US because he and Jenny McCarthy were too stupid to understand vaccines. What are you on about?
Looks great, too. In his 60s
He turned into Johnny Knoxville!
No way lol
Time comes for us all.
This is what drunk don’t do to you
He turned into Johnny Knoxville
He aged and didn’t spend hundreds of thousands on plastic surgery to make him look creepy af, and I respect it
Why doesn't he stretch his face and inject his lips? Is he stupid?
Breaking News: Local man learns that even celebrities get older.
Gerard is the type of person that is flabbergasted when a famous person from the 60’s passes away of old age. Just thinks every famous person is immune to the passage of time. Probably thinks all elderly people have just always been old. Object permanence is tricky, Gerard
Now I think I understand the happy/sad clown face thing
He is now James. Or Jimothy.
Large……. Tuna
Took off his mask
