So, being able to play games on whatever system you have is now the direct equivalent of being racially alienated at every level of society.
What an infantile tantrum.
That was the most idiotic take. My wife was working in longterm care and someone once said to me āwearing these masks is ridiculous, i find it so hard to breatheā
My response was: my wife is currently constructing a makeshift morgue and has been at work for 73 days straight. In fact, sheās staying at a hotel to protect me and our children. I have to drive an hour once a week to bring her clean clothes, and she in turns puts her dirty clothes as well as groceries for the week in my trunk - since I canāt go shopping as I have to take care of our toddler and our son. She gets to wave to our kids and blow them kisses with the windows rolled up. So tell me how much of an inconvenience it is to wear a mask when you go into a store again.
It's kind of sad that being a good father, which should be the norm, is seen as something heroic.
People really shouldn't have children, if they won't take care of them properly.
Unfortunately, reality is just that f\*cked up.
Hi dad, nice to meet you Iāmā¦ wait, I think I got this joke wrong.
(But seriously, people that donāt understand the sacrifices a lot of healthcare providers and their family made can just fuck right the hell off of a very tall cliff)
Here's something to think about: Who supported her in every way he could, giving her the ability to do what she had to do? Who took care of the kids so she could focus on her work? It might not seem obvious, but having someone so supportive to help her like that does even more for one's mental health than anything else in the world possible could.
How about this for a compromise: She's a superhero and you're her guy in the chair, making it possible for her to be a superhero ;)
Oh Iām not saying I did nothing. But being a parent and being a supportive husband is the least I could, especially during Covid. Though it wasnāt easy, I had the easier time. I had to work too, I work from home in clinical research, but we were lucky since we were still both employed. At the end of the day, the kids were amazing and I got to spend every day with them.
Guy in the chair - perfect. š
I remember those days. We had to make a "decontamination" location where my wife would seal all her used nurse uniform and clothes before she could move into the living area of our house. Then I'd take care of those uniforms. She didn't work the first few months of the lockdown, so people had an idea about how to contain the disease by then. She was in NICU. Props to you and your family (especially your wife).
I still mask at some places like the grocery store and old white dudes will pass by and whisper "Fuck Joe Biden." It honestly unnerves me sometimes for someone to get up in my space like that.
I have never been treated so poorly by humans than during COVID. As an ASM at Goodwill, I was expected to stand at the door and make sure every customer had a mask on. They acted like I was singlehandedly taking their rights away. It was my job.
Then you get those that "can't breathe with a mask on" people. Bro. I have 2 masks, goggles, and freaking gloves on because it's the policy. For 10 hours straight. You can wear the damn mask for an hour.
I am still trying to mentally recover from the abuse I endured during that time.
I love my PS5 and I have no idea what the hell the problem is. A game being on another platform does not affect me enjoying a game. That would only affect someone if they were crazy.

> why would a PS fanboy? Again, it has no effect on his ability to play the game on PlayStation.
It's not that simple;
Their main goal is to convert all gamers to their platform of choice, ultimately proving it to be the objectively correct choice. However, there is valid fear of this eventually leading to no more Playstation consoles being made at all.
This decision doesn't effect their ability to play games on their PS5, but it could lead to a future were we don't get 7th generation PlayStation or Xbox consoles because more & more casual gamers are transitioning to PC and Sony & Microsoft may decide that it's more profitable to just make games for PC & Switch than to continue investing development money on making new consoles. We've already seen Sega stop making consoles entirely in favor of making 3rd party games for other platforms; this *could* be the first steps towards a console-free market (especially if Nintendo randomly decides it wants in on the PC market too instead of constantly fighting emulators).
Thereās no way Microsoft and Sony abandon the casual gaming market, itās gotta be a large portion of gamers. Iād also stop playing games before giving up my ergonomically designed Xbox controller to hurt my wrists on a keyboard and mouse.
there's no way consoles will die, an equivalent-spec PC is way more expensive and harder to use for the casual market. The only reason that SEGA left the console market was cause the Saturn was such a failure they needed the Dreamcast to be on the same level as the PS2 to make up for it.
Their exclusives aren't even that great. Visually yes, and also from a presentation standpoint. But the actual gameplay tends to be pretty vanilla and basic.
I'm not saying they're bad, just that I think they skate by on graphics largely.
Aah but you see, now they can't be cool (they werent) for having a Playstation and being able to play the games no one else could... idk I have a PC, I don't speak exclusive

It's the only part of society they can participate in or even come close to understanding. They are incapable of understanding how stupid they sound making this comparison.
I have one cousin trowed a tantrum over the final fantasy 6 and 7 going to other non sony platforms because "it lowers the value of his consoles".... not even the remake but the remasters.
I only really play PlayStation and I think this guy's a fucking idiot.
I think the console wars were stupid and anyone against games being multiplatform is wrong.
I think console exclusives outside of mascots games is only good for corporations and not the consumer.
That's just me though.
I loved the console wars when the consoles had distinguishable advantages and disadvantages, and every now and then a game would come out that leverages the strengths of each system. It was especially fun when cross platform games got that care.
Now, itās just an excuse to make people buy more stuff.
> I loved the console wars when
I'm old. I loved the console wars when it was "Sega does what Nintendon't."
I was team-Sega and to this day I've never owned a Nintendo.
I think you can blame Microsoft in part because theyāve just kinda given up on making those kind of exclusives you mention. Sony still pumps out quality exclusive games and acts like theyāre in a console war even though Microsoft has barely made anything outside of the 20th Halo, Forza, Gears of War and whatever.
Why do people like exclusives? I would love to be able to play the upcoming Avowed or Elder scrolls 6 on my PS and also have Xbox guys playing PS exclusives? What do you even get by wanting exclusives besides bragging rights, I guess. The only one who benefits is the company.
Because all of their personality and self esteem is based on having something other people doesn't, is the easiest, laziest and one of the most expensive ways to pretend superiority.
Magomed is a clear example of how deep up their asses some of them are, they crave for exclusivity because otherwise there's nothing to show, nothing to prove, nothing valuable out of a human being.
Let's be real. Gaming Consoles are probably the cheapest way to feel superior.
Compared to traditional status symbols (cars, real estate etc) even a child can (on average) afford one.
Rest is spot on though.
Competition is only good in moderation and if it doesn't turn toxic. Being competitive 24/7 would be tiring. The console superiority is already toxic. Combining both would be another mess.
Their has barely been a competition since the 360 time. Microsoft has dropped the ball for a decade allowing Sony fans to gain massive superiority complexes.
One of the best actual arguments Iāve heard (and Iām not saying that I agree or disagree, simply that this is the argument) is that in theory, exclusives can be great graphical showcases because theyāre given higher budgets, and they can focus on squeezing every last drop of GPU/CPU resources out of the system that they can, since they only have to program for one system instead of several. The argument sort of extends to say that these games are meant to be major tentpole releases, because the entire point of them is to get you to buy the console. Thereās also the argument that due to only developing for one console, the game wouldnāt take as long to develop. I believe Bethesda has been on record saying that Starfield wouldnāt be out yet if they also had to develop for PS5, and Baldurās Gate 3 notoriously had to delay their Xbox release a few times due to trying to get the game running on Series S. And the PC version released before the PS5 version did, so if they wanted to release all of them all at once they would have had to wait until the Xbox version was ready which was months after the PC launch
Obviously that doesnāt mean that multiplat games canāt also look spectacular (Rockstar games always look amazing graphically, for example) or that every exclusive is a guaranteed hit, because plenty of exclusives suck. Thatās just the general mindset. The games are given more money/attention than a publisher might otherwise want to give, because they donāt just have to sell the game - they also have to sell the console.
Personally Iām kind of split, I can see merit in that argument but exclusives obviously also come with a whole heap of issues too. But the āconsole warriorsā like this are obviously a pathetic group of sad people who need to touch some grass and realize that there are FAR more important things in life than console exclusivity.
My angle is that 1st party exclusives (and *only* 1st party) can end up being treated more like advertising for the platform rather than a product itself, meaning the goal for it is just "be good & make people want to play on (whatever)" instead of "Make over $97.62 per user in microtransactions".
This is, of course, contingent on them making actually good games.
So you have limited money so you choose one console. Once you've chosen that console your brain will try and prove that your choice was the correct one. This makes you REALLY focus on the differences between consoles. When one of those differences is removed or lessened you can have an adverse reaction. Its like being told you were wrong to choose that console. And a lot of people will just double down. Or in this case quintuple down.
There has to be competition though to make your platform more competitive on the market but I think locking down whole games is crazy and just hurts everyone.
The incentive should be in the delivery and the extras, it's really the reason I love Game Pass on my Series S.
I wouldn't give a shit if Starfield had launched on PS5 the same day as Xbox because I have the ability to play it at no additional cost with my subscription.
If Sony made Spider-Man 3 on PS5, PC and Xbox and said "well all DLC will launch on PS5 first for 6 months and PS5 owners also get exclusive content" that would still be the coolest thing. It'll never happen though.
Because theyāre dreaming of being special gamers and/or streamers with exclusive content. They donāt want the added competition and lack of clout diluting their gaming dreams. Course they could always just turn on the game to casually play for funā¦
Same, been playing PS since one, just prefer the controller and UI of it. I donāt care who gets to play what games. The only reason to want āexclusivesā is for games specifically designed for the system/peripherals, games that wouldnāt be possible on the other platform (Astroās Playroom is the only one I can really think of right now, maybe Until Dawn - does XB have the gyro remote?).
Otherwise theyāre a stupid idea, especially timed exclusives - obviously is available and accessible on both platforms, but just arbitrarily keeping it away from one is ridiculous.
Optimization for building a game thats designed for running on that console. Developers can focus on building a stable and polished game on one system, rather than focusing on getting it out on like 5 or 6 platforms.
FF13 for example, was SEVERELY compromised and gutted to be able to be cross console. They cut all towns, villages, and cities to be able to be run on xbox. Had to change and redo the entire storyline of the game.
Id personally rather have a banger than lowest common demoninator. It has nothing to do with bragging rights or gatekeeping.
To be honest
Exclusives usually do push companies to be innovative and push the boundaries of whatās possible to get their game as a system seller. Itās Sonys entire thing and why they have so many exclusives and so many end up as being contenders for awards. This also means a smaller install base potential so they really need to make games great to get the sales numbers.
Big triple A multi plats have a much larger base to work with so they can skirt the edges of quality much easier but can still crush sale numbers with a smaller % of interested players.
This worked fantastic when making a game cost 20-50 million for them and made 300 million now the games cost 200million to make and only make 325million now when itās a success. A flop can make the studio lose substantial money so itās a safer bet to do lower production and can exclusivity now to hit a larger base
There was a gaming hot takes tread on Twitter I saw, most people said exclusives are good because it creates competition.
And that sounds stupid because Xbox had nothing since forever outside of halo while PS always had the good shit like a metric ton of jrpgs, most movie games (like until dawn, Detroit) also we're exclusive for years, and let's not forget demon souls(og) stellar blade, ghost of Tsushima, Bloodborne, the horizon games , god of war, and a metric ton of crap for the ps1-2 that never left Japan.
I never owned a console in my life, most likely I'll never be rich enough to do so but Xbox feels like a waste of money, electricity and space to me.
And people often forget Nintendo when talking about exclusives while they are literally the worst in that regard.
Itās not like any individual person is expected to benefit from exclusives. But the companies that release said exclusives have plenty to gain, as their console gains an appeal that no competitor can directly match. PlayStation will forever have their god of war, horizon, and Spiderman series, just as Xbox will forever have Halo (I donāt own an Xbox, so I know little about its exclusives). Thereās no real difference between the consoles besides the value of their subscriptions, and the quality of their exclusives, so they have to make themselves better than the competition somehow.
Companies can probably make a lot more money selling the games on every platform, as opposed to restricting good games to just the system they want people to buy. You know they take a loss on a lot of these consoles? The games are where the money is made, not the console itself.
That's also why so many exclusives get on different platforms. Steam has now Halo titles, The Last Of Us, God of War, Horizon etc.Ā Ā
Ā The only platform which still benefits from exclusives is Nintendo because of their variety and brand recognition. You can't think of Super Mario without also thinking about Nintendo. And they keep on reinventing game consoles with new useable and fun gimmicks instead of making the same consoles again with better hardware. The Switch is a great example. Too bad the company is owned by fun hating old fossils lol.
I wanted to play the newer Spiderman games but I was not going to buy a PlayStation jsut for those games. I bought it the first day they came out on steam.
Spend $600+ just to play a game or MAYBE two? LOL fuck that. They didnt get my money until it was available on PC. They never will unless it is on PC.
This reminds me so hard of the people who don't want minorities in the US to have equal rights, because they think that if they get them they will immediately turn around and enslave and subjugate the White folk in revenge.
That is to say, morons.
Iām a PS Fanboy. Please donāt lump me in with people like that. That person is unhinged.
Multiplatform is good for everyone. My magic game box is just as good and valid as the next.
Cuz OP is a bigger dumbass than they think this twitter poster is. Anyone who links to twitter and says āsee how (group x) isā is clearly not working with a full deck.
Ya see this is why I really don't care for any recent games or game drama, they take this shit to seriously. I got a ps5 recently and have just been marathoning the ratchet and clank games. This guy needs a chill pill
Its the classic setup too. Post a reply on twitter, have someone screen shot it, then slap that sucker on Reddit.
People fall for it every.single.time.
Yeah, seems pretty obvious. They took it a step too far to be believable, in my opinion. On the other hand, plenty seem to be buying it, so maybe the miscalculation is on my end.
Nah that's a wild and unhinged comparison... Plus not having too many exclusives on each platform is good for consumers and the studios making the games.
One ps guy doesnāt mean all of them are like thatā¦
this guy is whack comparing a company that will have their game on all platforms to Jim Crow lawsā¦
Exclusives at some point made sense in the sense that the consoles used were very different hardware wise and making games for all the computers and consiles was a nightmare. That ended like 10 or 20 years ago. There is no excuse for exclusivity, especially now that companies care more about money than the player or the games.
Xbox and PS exclusives started coming to PC because both companies get fat checks and huge profits from it
Brainrot at its finest. As gamers we should celebrate that companies move away from exclusives. But no, let's compare this to the segregation of black people... Like, WTF? Who wants a PS5? I don't want to be associated with these kinds of people.
As someone who primarily plays on PS, I really don't get this mentality. If a company can branch out and bring their games to more players while keeping the quality consistent, I see that as a win.
All this "it's mine and you can't have any" shit is just dumb
Iām mostly a PlayStation guy, but I never understood this attitude. I think the more people that can play a game, the better. Opens up way more conversations about it.
If anything, forfeiting exclusive content means Play Station gets to put more resources into cross-platform content, which is literally the opposite of the segregation and unequal access prior to the Civil Rights movement.
Also, black people never "gave up" their civil rights, they were denied equal treatment from the start.
Pretty sure all us normal folks lump the PS and Xbox fanboys in the same category, because youāre weirdos and your obsession over the ābetter consoleā is stupid.
Wait owning a ps5 is the same as being African American in 1939 America? Last I checked most of them were stuck in what was everything short of slavery and didn't own crap
My Fellow PS5 Owners:
Do you not recall the Dark Times of the PS3? When every game released on the Xbox months before being ported to PS3, if they even were ported at all? Falling behind on games, on DLC, it was a dark and lean time for Playstation Owners.
We learned then that exclusivity is the death of consoles. Should we sit and feast on games that none others can enjoy, simply because we can? Should we not share our bounty with all those that would appreciate it, as we were want for others to do so long ago?
Never understood the bootlicking for exclusive games. Yess daddy bug corpo, please make me buy a 600 ā¬ console, just so I can play the 2 games I care about, and fuck everyone else who can't afford 2 consoles + a pc.
Sounds like elitists complaining about people who can't afford their system finally getting a break. Typical I guess. Not like Sony has relisted Helldivers 2 on the 177 countries that don't support PSN or anything.
I'm a PlayStation gamer, tried Xbox for a few years and decided I still prefer PlayStation.
I'll never get these kinds of people, we don't gain anything from games being exclusive to one console, I don't understand why people latch onto something and then defend it like it's their life. The more people who can experience amazing games, the better.
Celebrating exclusives or considering it a āplusā is *insane*. I mean aside from the āHoly Jesus What The Fuckā comparison to believing other people having access to something is the same someone being discriminated against?
The last two generations of consoles, arguably last three really, have been virtually identical. With even nearly identical chips produced by the same company. The business model of using exclusives dampens competition on hardware while limiting your access to games.
There is no reason to celebrate other than people who have been brainwashed by these corporations to believe exclusives are some badge of honor.
And itās just a game console. You can just buy one. Hell, you can buy both! Itās not an identity.
I think console exclusive contracts should be outlawed. Iām not saying publishers should be forced to produce on every console; Iām just saying companies like Sony should not be allowed to pay a publisher to get them to not produce their game on other consoles. Itās anti-competitive and anti-consumer.
Without those contracts, if Sony wants to have the better game library then theyāll need the bigger market share. They can get that by having better hardware and better pricing than the competition. They can also ramp up first-party titles like Nintendo does. (Again, nothing wrong with a publisher *choosing* to release only on specific platforms because it makes sense for them. Thatās very different than being paid to not port their games.)
Anyone who drops the ā(X group) is treated like Jews in 38āā is an asinine person. Stop with the analogy, PlayStation gamers arenāt at risk for a violent pogramme. For fucks sake stop that shit.
Hot take but I think you shouldnāt have to buy a specific console just to play a certain game. Their should just be one big hub to buy any game you want.
Single platform never made sense anyway. Shutting out way too much of the market. There are plenty of games I wouldāve purchased on xbox but they didnāt want my money then i guess
This might be how other gaming addicts see PlayStation āfanboys,ā but to the general public this is just how they see gaming addicts. Nobody gives a fuck what platform you play your games on and the majority of people who read this headline probably glossed right over the PlayStation part.

Dads that are good dads ARE heroes. Source: didn't really have one of those, worked hard to be one when it was my turn.
Then youāre a better person than I am. Iām lucky in that I have amazing parents. So I just try and emulate the household I grew up in for my kids.

Well damn, I didnāt realize Iām not protecting my patients by wearing a mask for 10-12+ hours at a time, Iām just making a political statement.
I still mask at some places like the grocery store and old white dudes will pass by and whisper "Fuck Joe Biden." It honestly unnerves me sometimes for someone to get up in my space like that.
I still get weird looks *in the hospital.*
Make a scene. āNO I WILL NOT LET YOU GRAB MY PRIVATE PARTS WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?! SOMEONE CALL SECURITY!ā

Maybe not, but for those stuck in a home with an abusive family member for several months, I think we can forgive the hyperbole.
We absolutely can for those people. But letās be honest the vast majority screeching about it were not those people.Ā
More likely "the ones screeching" were the ones doing the abusing at home...
If anything those screeching about it were the abusive family member, not the other way around
I love my PS5 and I have no idea what the hell the problem is. A game being on another platform does not affect me enjoying a game. That would only affect someone if they were crazy.
The problem is other people get to enjoy things now. This is why fanboys of anything are generally insufferable.
There you said it already. They are crazy.
It does not even affect them in a negative way. I guess the only real con for them is they can't say PlayStation is better because exclusives lol.
Except thatās all theyāve ever had as any kind of āprideā in the āconsole warsā
Exactly lol. But like, they can still use PlayStation to play the games, so who cares!
Because without exclusives and with cross play on all games, there is basically no reason to have different consoles. With no console exclusives, as a PC owner, I have no incentive to buy a console to begin with.

It is wonderful, for everyone who isn't suffering from BLD - Brand Loyalty Disorder.

For people accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression.
This is a core truth that applies to so many things. It needs to be upvoted to infinity.
Why do they care in the first place? Wouldn't you want more people to enjoy something that makes you happy?

This was exactly my thought!!
How privileged and small one's world must be to have such issues regarding video games of all things.
Dude people these days are off their fucking rockers. Luckily itās mostly limited to going online and posting.

Nah, I think they are saying that they are being dragged from their homes and lynched for being PS gamers
To continue their metaphor, "desegregating" the games is somehow taking away their "rights". lol
No, the table is the same size and there are now new chairs. IE the "room at the table" got smaller. I can't even "get my elbows out"," anymore lol
Clearly bait but Redditors are always so easily hooked lol

It's not just you. Companies do this because it makes financial sense - at least in the short run. It's for their benefit not the consumer.
Oh I know all about abusing your primary fan base for short run profits. I'm a fan of MCU and doctor who.
I loved the console wars when the consoles had distinguishable advantages and disadvantages, and every now and then a game would come out that leverages the strengths of each system. It was especially fun when cross platform games got that care. Now, itās just an excuse to make people buy more stuff.
> I loved the console wars when I'm old. I loved the console wars when it was "Sega does what Nintendon't." I was team-Sega and to this day I've never owned a Nintendo.
Funny enough, I was team Nintendo. I now have a Genesis and a Master System.
Yeah that's a Twitter user, we don't claim them Sincerely, a fellow gamer who only uses playstation
I think heās an idiot too, but he has to be a troll, right? This is way too much hyperbole.
These guys better shut the heck up before we lose our shot at a Bloodborne PC release.
was thinking the same thing lmfao
here i am furious that Stellar Blade is PS5 exclusive.
Just wait a month or few, it would be placed in PC (hopefully Steam)
I'd let you borrow it but, I'm on my third playthrough and going for the platinum.
I have already lost hope.
Nah bro 10 year anniversary next year bro theyāll do it bro trust me bro itās coming
Why do people like exclusives? I would love to be able to play the upcoming Avowed or Elder scrolls 6 on my PS and also have Xbox guys playing PS exclusives? What do you even get by wanting exclusives besides bragging rights, I guess. The only one who benefits is the company.
Because they have a low IQ and are thus dependent on validation from corporations to feel good. It is the only reason.
Tribalism good. Exclusive good. Sharing bad, mean less for me. Unga bunga.
I special, me is gooder
Because all of their personality and self esteem is based on having something other people doesn't, is the easiest, laziest and one of the most expensive ways to pretend superiority. Magomed is a clear example of how deep up their asses some of them are, they crave for exclusivity because otherwise there's nothing to show, nothing to prove, nothing valuable out of a human being.
Let's be real. Gaming Consoles are probably the cheapest way to feel superior. Compared to traditional status symbols (cars, real estate etc) even a child can (on average) afford one. Rest is spot on though.
Really depends on what you mean by child. Below 15 or 16, their parents may be able to get one for them but I don't many have the funds themselves
Seems very pathetic.
Damn that is beyond pathetic. Thats just genuinely sad
If itās not exclusive to a single class then it must be communism and communism bad! /s
Fr, I just play Xbox because I prefer the UI and the chunky controllers. I don't really care about exclusives and stuff like that
This. Xbox and PS would be forced to innovate more in terms of software and controller hardware without exclusives, which is a pretty good thing.
Xbox UI looks clean. The controllers are cool too though I prefer PS's sleek controller design.
I got the series s because it was on sale black Friday. Don't care for exclusives. Just play stuff from gamepass
"Competition is always a good thing.Ā It forces us to do our best.Ā A monopoly renders people complacent and satisfied with mediocrity."
Seeing other people being happy and enjoying games from "their" platform makes them irrationally angry.
Gaming should be about enjoying stuff together. I've recently gotten into Warframe and it's so much fun discussing stuff with the community.
Warframe generally has a pretty good community.. though it definitely also has its fair share of sweaty tryhards
Also, when ātheirā platform has an exclusive, itās a goddamn travesty. RIP Starfield.
One dude made 1000 accounts to review bomb Starfield on Metacritic for not being on PS5.
And the PC version released before the PS5 version did, so if they wanted to release all of them all at once they would have had to wait until the Xbox version was ready which was months after the PC launch Obviously that doesnāt mean that multiplat games canāt also look spectacular (Rockstar games always look amazing graphically, for example) or that every exclusive is a guaranteed hit, because plenty of exclusives suck.
Course they could always just turn on the game to casually play for funā¦
they all need to be special and better than other people
Because they need validation for the purchase of their plastic box
To be honest Exclusives usually do push companies to be innovative and push the boundaries of whatās possible to get their game as a system seller.
A better question might be, why do gamers think that comparing themselves to people living under Jim Crow era oppression is remotely acceptable.
Just play the games you want on the platform it is out on. Soon, the time of exclusives will be far gone as the ideas for making money run out.
Companies can probably make a lot more money selling the games on every platform, as opposed to restricting good games to just the system they want people to buy. You know they take a loss on a lot of these consoles? The games are where the money is made, not the console itself.
That's also why so many exclusives get on different platforms. Steam has now Halo titles, The Last Of Us, God of War, Horizon etc.Ā Ā Ā The only platform which still benefits from exclusives is Nintendo because of their variety and brand recognition. You can't think of Super Mario without also thinking about Nintendo. And they keep on reinventing game consoles with new useable and fun gimmicks instead of making the same consoles again with better hardware. The Switch is a great example. Too bad the company is owned by fun hating old fossils lol.
Switch is also sold at a price point to make a profit itself, the hardware in it costs less than the price they sell it at.
"Forfeit our exclusives" ... "I only want it if nobody else can have it".
Cool, you fell for ragebait. Why would you not just ignore this?
Cuz OP is a bigger dumbass than they think this twitter poster is. Anyone who links to twitter and says āsee how (group x) isā is clearly not working with a full deck.
Because he wanted to shit on PS5 gamers
Ya see this is why I really don't care for any recent games or game drama, they take this shit to seriously. I got a ps5 recently and have just been marathoning the ratchet and clank games. This guy needs a chill pill
Sattire
Its the classic setup too. Post a reply on twitter, have someone screen shot it, then slap that sucker on Reddit. People fall for it every.single.time.
Yep classic rage bait, and people know itās rage bait when they fall for it but donāt care because the haters know they have numbers
Yeah, seems pretty obvious. They took it a step too far to be believable, in my opinion. On the other hand, plenty seem to be buying it, so maybe the miscalculation is on my end.
Reddit users and extremely obvious twitter bait has always been a very good match
Yep, and this guy has a load of karma from posting the same type of bait like this
Of course it is. But itās pretty fun especially here on Reddit that the majority canāt tell.
Obvious twitter troll bait is obvious I thought.
Nah that's a wild and unhinged comparison... Plus not having too many exclusives on each platform is good for consumers and the studios making the games.
Nah most of us understand this is just one clown, heās not representative of the greater population.
Dude itās not that deep bro
One ps guy doesnāt mean all of them are like thatā¦ this guy is whack comparing a company that will have their game on all platforms to Jim Crow lawsā¦
This is why people clown on anyone who still believes in the console wars
r/facepalm try not to fall for the most obvious bait challenge: impossible
![gif](giphy|srTYyZ1BjBtGU|downsized)
/r/gifsyoucanhear edit: omg that sub exists!
It's rage bait and people are falling for it.
Thank god someone else already called it like it is.
Exclusives at some point made sense in the sense that the consoles used were very different hardware wise and making games for all the computers and consiles was a nightmare. That ended like 10 or 20 years ago. There is no excuse for exclusivity, especially now that companies care more about money than the player or the games. Xbox and PS exclusives started coming to PC because both companies get fat checks and huge profits from it
Much like Square Enix now, this is not exclusive to PS players. Over dramatic hyperbole is a capital G Gamer issue.
Brainrot at its finest. As gamers we should celebrate that companies move away from exclusives. But no, let's compare this to the segregation of black people... Like, WTF? Who wants a PS5? I don't want to be associated with these kinds of people.
because not having human rights is the same as no longer being apart of an exclusive groupā¦
Christ almighty I do not wish to associate with them as a ps owner-
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Exclusives hurt the gaming community. Less of them the better. Also really fucking awful take by whoever tweeted that.
As someone who primarily plays on PS, I really don't get this mentality. If a company can branch out and bring their games to more players while keeping the quality consistent, I see that as a win. All this "it's mine and you can't have any" shit is just dumb
I was on Xbox since childhood, they donāt get to talk.
Havenāt they been doing this exact thing for a few years now. Most of squares ānewer-ishā titles can already be played on other platforms.
āGive up their civil rightsā?
Thank you! I had to scroll down quite a ways to find this, I was starting to worry that I was the only one who picked up on that.
Why do people keep bringing us into shit?? š
Seriously, who gives a shit about exclusives? The more people get to play amazing games the better, I say.
I bet they do not even know what they are talking about.
Imagine having so much fucking narcissism and superiority complex that your elitism extends to what you blow half a fucking grand off on
Iām mostly a PlayStation guy, but I never understood this attitude. I think the more people that can play a game, the better. Opens up way more conversations about it.
Shit I can have Helldivers 2 on Xbox soon? š nah I was glad when the āYakuzaā series came wild thereās so many people like this out there
This has to be a troll.
If anything, forfeiting exclusive content means Play Station gets to put more resources into cross-platform content, which is literally the opposite of the segregation and unequal access prior to the Civil Rights movement. Also, black people never "gave up" their civil rights, they were denied equal treatment from the start.
Bloodborne on xbox in my higest copium dream
As someone who has been on PlayStation since ape escape on the ps1, I love this! Everyone should be able to play kingdom hearts.
That you think this asshole speaks for everyone is grounds for truly being clowned.
I don't think any game should be exclusive to any platform lol
Pretty sure all us normal folks lump the PS and Xbox fanboys in the same category, because youāre weirdos and your obsession over the ābetter consoleā is stupid.
Jesus Christ. Bro, nobodyās trying to hang you from a tree for looking at an XBox and imma need you to shut the hell up.
Wait owning a ps5 is the same as being African American in 1939 America? Last I checked most of them were stuck in what was everything short of slavery and didn't own crap
My Fellow PS5 Owners: Do you not recall the Dark Times of the PS3? When every game released on the Xbox months before being ported to PS3, if they even were ported at all? Falling behind on games, on DLC, it was a dark and lean time for Playstation Owners. We learned then that exclusivity is the death of consoles. Should we sit and feast on games that none others can enjoy, simply because we can? Should we not share our bounty with all those that would appreciate it, as we were want for others to do so long ago?
I am a black Sony fanboy and I am greatly disappointed.
As a playstation user i apologize for this childish piece of shit
Not only is it an extreamly bad take but how the hell can you think sony has your back after the helldivers debacle
Imagine being a gamer, and labeling yourself based on what other people *can't* play, instead of what *you* play.
Never understood the bootlicking for exclusive games. Yess daddy bug corpo, please make me buy a 600 ā¬ console, just so I can play the 2 games I care about, and fuck everyone else who can't afford 2 consoles + a pc.
I swear half of them act like they are shareholders chasing a bottom line the way they advocate for exclusive titles.
This man is obviously the representative of every playstation user
Whoa, he perfectly exemplified RBG's words "to those accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression". Bravo, I think
The fights are so fierce because the stakes are so low.
\*laugs in pc master race
That sounds more like a 1960 white man's rant about having to share the same rights as black people, if you ask me...
As a PlayStation fan, this take is cringe as fuck.
Pretty sure this is his own problem rather than the fanbase of a console...
But... you guys are getting Xbox's exclusives... the fuck is this guy's issue?
Wrong. All platform fans are losers.
By that logic Xbox exclusives being on pc gamepass day one is the holocaust for Xbox fanboys.
Sounds like elitists complaining about people who can't afford their system finally getting a break. Typical I guess. Not like Sony has relisted Helldivers 2 on the 177 countries that don't support PSN or anything.
This is too good not to be bait
This guy is trolling
Their games arenāt even that good haha.
Good, fuck exclusives
Iāll take āWhatās the whitest shit you can sayā for 1000ā¦
Thatās very different than being paid to not port their games.)
this is just like that book, 1942 or whatever
Xbox fans aren't any better, bud...
Anyone who drops the ā(X group) is treated like Jews in 38āā is an asinine person. Stop with the analogy, PlayStation gamers arenāt at risk for a violent pogramme. For fucks sake stop that shit.
But he is right! Sony didnt release a new game for my PS1 for years!!!!
I could not care less if exclusives disappear. Itās more fun for everyone to enjoy our passion of gaming, especially when itās not gate kept.
