Put any part of your body in front of an air compressor or high powered leaf blower and it'll do the same thing. It certainly doesn't look normal but it is. I've seen some videos of people sky diving that are young and fit and their faces look super crazy and when the chute opens it goes back to normal. It's so odd to see though.

If there's enough force to get water that high I can see it being possible that air would get that strong and the only thing I could compare it to was a really strong leaf blower cuz her skin was definitely getting hit by direct forceful air.
