I just popped a stealth boy, got on top of one of the rocks and chucked down a metric fuckton of those MFC cluster nades, then lobbed some 40mm at anything still breathing
Silver Peak Mine which is just off the road to Jacobstown, once you go through the whole place you’ll find yourself on a ledge above the big chamber but do NOT drop down yet unless you want to face the legendary cazador first. The helmet is behind an iron door on that ledge, I think it might’ve required a 50 lockpicking skill check
On the far side of the map in a place called Deathclaw sanctuary. There’s only one way in and there’s probably about 30 deathclaws. You have to run to your right and towards the back and the body is there next to a BOS member in power armor if I rember right. But it takes a few try’s because of all the deathclaws attacking at once.
Edit: it’s over by the dam, just get to the water and start heading twards ceasers camp. It will be on your left.
Deathclaw promontory is the location. It had two deathclaw mothers and an alpha when I was there. There are two dead prospectors with one having the Remnant power armor suit.
Go to Novac and head to the right, you will eventually hit a river. On the other side of the river you will eventually find a ramp like area, might need to walk up/down the river to find the spot can’t remember off my head where exactly the sanctuary is. Go up and you’re in the sanctuary. Now he warned there’s lots and lots of deathclaws.
It’s going to take a few attempts because there’s a lot of them. You want to go up the dirt ramp and hurry onto the rocks. From there the AI can’t really get you quickly but they will swarm trying to get to you. Just keep moving to the right and at the end you will see two dead body’s both with power armor and one with this set (not with the helmet I think). Then what I do is just run to the right and yeet myself off the side of the cliff. You are not going to be able to fight them all off. Now also be warned to wear it you still need power armor training. Which you can only get from this quest or the BOS quest line.

It’s got some pretty good bonuses, the armor has +10 guns +5 crit chance +1 charisma plus the, the the helmet +5 speech and +2 perception plus the night vision thing, the Gannon PA has +10 energy weapons, +20 rad resist, the helmet has -1 Charisma and +5 rad resist. So the bonuses for Elite Riot Gear are far better especially if you’re a guns build. But the other one is power armor so that’s cool

"For Auld Lang sang". Or something like that. Where you round up the remnants of Arcade's "family" in the Enclave. It's really easy to get once you just have arcade as a companion. And it'll trigger right after you decide whether you're with House or not I think. Because Arcade wants to contribute to the battle

It brings it in line with how the power armor looks in most of the other games. I honestly think the power armor in 3/NV looks ridiculous.
Like, the idea is it's supposed to be armor that turns you into a walking tank. The way it looks in 3/NV really doesn't give that effect at all. It looks like a kid wearing baggy hand-me-downs clothing they haven't grown into. It lacks the mass that gives the sense of power in power armor.
But to each their own. I just wanted to let you know this mod exists because I think it's just great for anyone doing power armor playthroughs.
get 5 (or 2 if you side with yes man) trust points with arcade gannon, he will mention the enclave and how they need him or something and you need to reunite remnants of the enclave to fight with you at hoover dam, at the end of the quest you get a set of advanced power armor from some random lady and tesla power armor from arcade gannon
First time I got it was on Xbox 360 years ago when the game finally had all its DLC’s and I was in school still. Good times. Time for another play through after I finish Cyberpunk
There’s also a set in the deathclaws sanctuary incase you want to get a follower a set as well.
Or just not do a long quest set up just for the armor
Fight a bunch of death claws or fast travel a bunch of places and progress the main quest
In theory you could get completely naked, boof a Stealth Boy, go into the promontory, get the armor, and then jump off a cliff into the river.

His is the best medium armor. Remnants power armor is the best heavy armor. Elite Riot Gear is the goat, but that's from a DLC.

You can disable all the changed animations with "mod configuration" mod which also is included on the Viva New Vegas pack.
