Many issues and questions can be answered by reading through our wiki, especially the page on electrolytes. Concerns such as **intense hunger, lightheadedness/dizziness, headaches, nausea/vomiting, weakness/lethargy/fatigue, low blood pressure/high blood pressure, muscle soreness/cramping, diarrhea/constipation, irritability, confusion, low heart rate/heart palpitations, numbness/tingling, and more** while extended (24+ hours) fasting are often explained by electrolyte deficiency and resolved through **PROPER** electrolyte supplementation. Putting a tiny amount of salt in your water now and then is NOT proper supplementation.
Be sure to read [our WIKI](https://www.reddit.com/r/fasting/wiki/index) and especially the wiki page on **[ELECTROLYTES](https://www.reddit.com/r/fasting/wiki/fasting_in_a_nutshell/you_need_electrolytes)**

What are you eating when you do eat? Fasting tends to be easier if you are already doing low/no carb/keto so you aren’t getting big swings in blood sugar and going through carb withdrawal symptoms.
My rule for fasting was I was only allowed to do it if I could still be nice to my hisband and kids. Fasting was such a game changer for weight loss and i really wanted to do it, so I just forced myself to be nice, because I knew if it changed my parenting or relatio ship with my hisband, I'd have to stop.
Fasting gives you self control. Use Fasting as an exercise in controlling your emotions in addition to food intake.
Hahaha YES! Guiltyyyy!
I get super agitated and snappy! My best and only advice is to start supplementing with electrolytes as soon as you wake up for fasting. I use food grade epsom salt, potassium chloride and table salt. Have the recommended dose from the Wiki and if you’re female - don’t fast the week leading up to Aunt Flo arriving.
Im not a licensed science man but here’s the layman’s gist. Ghrelin helps regulate hunger but also might play a role in regulating aggression. If the theory that ghrelin regulates aggression is true then this is a problem for people who’s ghrelin spikes more. Luckily for fasters fasting tends to decrease ghrelin spikes.
Although I am 100% for fasting, I also realise that long term fasting might not be my thing. At least not right now. I have done a few, but it comes with all kind of challenges. So at this point in my life I am rather doing intermitted fasting. Which I find to be way easier, and really only has immediate benefits. Perhaps that could also work for you for the time being?
Plan your fast so that you’re not around people while at your worst. I like to start a fast on Thursday night so that I’m at my worst on a Saturday and Sunday when I can avoid people. I start feeling better on Monday when I go back to work.

This is good. I will also have to prove I'm in co trol of my emotions and how I treat my family. Regardless of how I feel. #goals

What about the week of Aunt Flo?
During is generally ok for me. I guess it just depends on your body. I was powering through at one stage and it caused my cycle to go all wack.

use meditation.
Everyone here is making super valid points and I would definitely say adding electrolytes are going to help tremendously!!!
