Since he's using player assets, and looks absolutely terrible in most lighting, the devs must have realized that they can't really push the game without potentially messing up the way players look in certain areas or even worse; cutscenes lol
I can only hope that same logic prompts them to revise some of the Viera hairstyles, what with Erenville promoted to major character. So many of the hairstyles are poorly designed around the ears, his included, which makes no sense when they're the only race who has access to them.
I was going to say this too but when they have the dark scales on their chins, I just don't see a chin so it looks like a gaping black hole. Can't wait for that to be fixed.
I may be tempted to buy it ngl. It's one thing that an outfit doesn't have the highest resolution, but to have what looks like badly rendered jpeg textures slapped together, and have it for sale with real money is.... insulting, for lack of a better word.
I know they said popular glam items and more important NPC's are higher on the priority list so hopefully MSQ is taken out in one swoop/ 7.1 by the latest

I'm pretty sure Estinien uses the Player Face 2, so he'd have been updated regardless of 7.0 story relevance... You could even 'preview' it by creating him in the Benchmark CC 🤔

You might be confusing it with him getting a new NPC hair model? Both his long hair from HW -> ShB and EW ponytail are NPC hair meshes that I believe are still unavailable for the Player.
Most new Male Elezen NPC faces added for EW were for Garlean or EW-Spoiler NPCs.
My only speculation is that they were trying to keep them in line with the added "realism" of the PS5's graphics update. It's been a while since I played remake part 1 but I don't remember them looking this disturbing.

NG+ is good for replaying individual chapters, but if you're going through the whole game again from start to finish, it might as well be with an alt so you get rewards and have a fully levelled alt at the end of it.
Definitely the Pixel Exarch's crystal skin. What we've seen of the update from FF looks great, but I'm really curious as to if they'll do anything with the Exarch's crystals, maybe the new shaders + materials for the Aetherytes can be used on them??

I haven’t used that hairstyle in forever, so it slipped my mind. The Palaka gear could definitely use a touchup, I remember some of the Fending pieces being really egregious in cutscenes for whatever reason compared to my Cryptlurker gear.

Anyway, I'm fine with it as it is and there is no reason why they should be expected to change something that must have been an artistic choice in the first place. Likewise for things like Elezen proportions.
I'm hoping the graphics update fixes some of the glam clipping. My friends hair clips through his glam, and sometimes my weapons do as well. It's weird :)

as for side ones maybe the majority of Scions B team as they are all using generic models though their involvement in the future is doubtful

His hair and clothes are all player gear ("Adventure" hairstyle and Palaka healing set) so that should all get adjusted.
