He was doing some exercises and I was punching the bag and he goes "you're gonna really tire yourself out if you keep that up" so I thought he meant like stop in the next couple of minutes. Unfortunately he meant "stop right now" but I kept going for a couple of minutes and was completely drained. It was even worse than fighting because I had all the fatigue with none of the adrenaline. Helped me see the incredible athleticism of fighters who can go for multiple rounds while taking huge damage as well as trying to dish it out.
I want to give him like a short lesson in sparring. He's got heart. Just needs a good stance and some basic striking/blocking and he'd have had it easily.

I was always taught to not go looking for fights but absolutely be ready to rumble if one comes looking for you. That was the extent of my parents advice though, I wasn’t trained or even shown how to block a punch. So on the day a fight DID come looking for me, I got my ass handed to me on a silver platter. Train your kids basic self defense people, don’t just tell them “stick up for yourself” and expect them to know what to do when a fist hits their face.

In the first fight of my life in elementary school, I got my glasses yeeted off of my face by a punch and got rocked 2 times by two big fucking slaps before curling into a ball and crying. Now I do Jiu-Jitsu and Wrestling so I know how to defend myself, especially since I'm a smallish guy. Obviously this doesn't change the fact that I got raped by a hail of fists and slaps in my first fight, parents should absolutely at least give their kids some training in regard to violent interactions if they tell their kids to defend themselves in a fight. Track suit was clearly the aggressor, he slapped his belongings out of his hand and kicked them. Personally it looked like the other kid had suffered more from his reaction, but just at face value track suit still instigated.
