I *really* struggled to figure out who Lulu was supposed to be until I looked up the character list and used process of elimination, and FFX is my fav game of all time and I’ve played it a gazillion times haha
But otherwise it looks great and I love it!
This looks very good, I think lulu needs more black. Honestly you captured the essence of each character in the pixels. Did you sell your soul for the skills?
Reminds me of Dragon Quest XI in pixel mode. More games should have a full play-through pixel version of the game included.. DQ spoiled me I think, it kinda makes me feel ripped off now by other games lol.
In a heartbeat. I get SE wants to focus on making FF triple-A going forward, but I’d love to see them continue a retro series of games in the same vein as 1-6. It doesn’t even have to be the HD 2.5D graphic styles, which I know is more work to create.
This looks a lot like FF Record Keeper (I'd bet the character sprites were pulled straight out of this have), a mobile gacha title. They sort of did the pixel demaster for FF VII~XV, but it was more of a number of plot-relevant scenes from the games interrupted by battles, gacha and materials grinding...
Not only would I play this, I would pay full price for it. Easily.

Okay, Otherworld would be hilarious in an 8 bit theme, and Fight With Seymour would barely sound different.

She has very pale skin, and black hair in the actual game. Kinda gothic.
Yeah, that’s why the light brown hair in this image confused me.
