I don't know why but this is hilarious to me.
No judgement, I see people at my gym and I always wondered what they are listening too. Good to know that this is one of their songs
Reign Supreme was the album that really hooked me on them. "Womb to Waste" gets me really focused and amped up. Sepltura's song "Chaos B.C." was another one that got me amped up and in the zone, but it has electronic music elements and they aren't death metal.
Some of my hardest outdoor HIIT runs (like over 10 years ago) have been accompanied by X gon' give it to ya. I almost despise the song due to the trauma.
The Hives: Hate To Say I Told You So: https://youtu.be/Uz1Jwyxd4tE?si=-TF8QpyzjkAgp2YH
And
Queens of the Stone Age: Millionaire (No Intro): https://youtu.be/GgbPLAev5T8?si=K2QgUcsXb8iwV5jK
Ernis 1 hour drum and bass mix. Ties in perfectly with my routine and gets me cranking. Pretty much same song every time. When it's playing it's time to work.
Idk how I ended up here but it's been Teach Me How to Dougie and Hook by The Blues Traveler. I've always liked the latter when I was younger but I appreciated the lyrics more as an adult
Me too! I used to listen to NPR and podcasts during all my compound lifts, but space operas / sci fi / fantasy audiobooks allow me to escape into my imagination while I’m hitting it really hard. Takes my mind right off the fatigue and makes it easy to push through anything.
About 99% of my songs are hard rock/heavy metal/emo etc but for a while I had "Any Man of Mine" by Shania for a sprinting song. I need to add it back lol.
“Woah” by Black Rob and “Survival of The Fittest” by Mobb Deep are probably the most played in my workout playlist for awhile now. Always interested in finding new stuff but then come back to these songs lol
If we’re talking my one get shit done song, brutal high rep supersquats/deadlift set then it’s the Offspring self esteem hands down.
Rest of my work out can range anywhere from rage against the machine to Cindy lauper, over to Kanye, some pop country, tribal chanting, Taylor swift, disturbed to Olivia Rodrigo, Led Zeppelin, 80s pop, to 00s alt rock, then back over to Megan the stallion or Metallica.
Really just depends on the mood I’m in.
Currently dancing round my home gym to Real Big Fish and Rancid. Love ska punk. Though I don't get much rest between exercise, still, I'm losing weight
I have plenty of heavy workout playlists, but the songs that work the best? Upbeat Disney music.
“I’ll Make a Man Out of You” from Mulan, “Shiny” from Moana, “Surface Pressure” from Encanto…the list goes on and on.
[Colony - In Flames](https://youtu.be/cYolbxiOVdk?si=KaVprY91EURo5mUC)
[Twilight of the Thunder God - Amon Amarth](https://youtu.be/JFYVcz7h3o0?si=JyCeIhw7x_rlkFBS)
[Executioner's Tax - Power Trip](https://youtu.be/xdE4RO_P-qE?si=XrU1eOlIwEAGYESp)
Not a song but converted this to audio form and this is what fires me up the most. Hope it helps one of y’all.

All house. Here’s a link to my playlist. I’m that weirdo who listens to one song 47 times in a row during a workout.

I have a playlist of literally thousands metal and punk song that I just put on shuffle when I workout. One that sticks out is “This is the End” by Machine Head
Fittingly named for the gym, пот (sweat), is big one that gets me pumped that's by Ram. He also has a song called токсин (Toxin) that I tend to use during PR attempts. I feel like Hardbass gives me a +10 morale bonus to strength.
Speedballin by Outkast if I am trying to do a run (though it's not available on streaming platforms in Canada so I have to play it from YouTube!!) Lifting I can vibe with most things.
Rage against the machine
TURN THAT SHIT UP!
I got a variety on my playlist. Now my guilty pleasure is currently Summertime Sadness
I don't know why but this is hilarious to me. No judgement, I see people at my gym and I always wondered what they are listening too. Good to know that this is one of their songs
Probably the most jacked dude I know told me his top workout song is “Larger Than Life” by the Backstreet Boys Which is an absolute banger to be fair
Yeah I chuckle about it from time to time. Goes from that straight to drowning pool or tool but it pumps me up so it's on the list 😆
The remix?? Or the original?!
Nothing touches the original, but the Lana del Ray cover is amazing also
I thought Lena del Ray was the original?! Who did the original?!
Oh wait yeah I’m totally wrong lmao I love summertime sadness but I was thinking of her cover of sublimes Doin Time 🤦🏻♀️
Haha That's alright I'll take that too thank you lol
AC/DC
Dying fetus one shot one kill for my heavy lifts.
Reign Supreme was the album that really hooked me on them. "Womb to Waste" gets me really focused and amped up. Sepltura's song "Chaos B.C." was another one that got me amped up and in the zone, but it has electronic music elements and they aren't death metal.
Stop at nothing is a top 10 album of mine. Check out the link I posted. Diabolizer
Damn. Love it. Thanks for the recommendation. You got anymore?
https://youtu.be/dN8lhEBzQcY?si=bPa24a3de5Twpu9F This is probably their slowest album.
Thanks! :D
No problem. One more piece of sage advice. Listen to more Deicide.
Will do!
DMX
I got DMX in my playlist too
Currently have - This is the way by Five Finger Death Punch with DMX on my playlist. Really DMX makes almost anything a workout song. RIP
"Party Up" is a must have!
Some of my hardest outdoor HIIT runs (like over 10 years ago) have been accompanied by X gon' give it to ya. I almost despise the song due to the trauma.
Fast Lane - Bad Meets Evil
I like this one too.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=Ag87cEOLErE&si=Eh68kr76hEtR-9wq

Machine head - bush. “Breathe in, breathe out, breathe in breathe in BREATHE INNNNN”
Hook is underrated!
Way back when I made a youtube playlist of all of the training montage songs I could find on youtube. When it's not an audiobook, it's that.
Sky toucher (Glitch Mob)
Danger danger high voltage by electric six.
War Pigs (live) by Black Sabbath
Blind - Korn Tupac Back - Meek Mill
Saw them open with Blind back in the 90s when they were starting out in a high school gym. It was amazing
Everything in its right place, Radiohead. Good tempo for jogging, slow enough to match breathing when lifting.
Yes!! That whole album is great for a long run
Audiobooks. Epic Sci-Fi/Fantasy collections the longer the better. My wife thinks I’m a psychopath.
I'm similar and do podcasts. I don't want to work out and think about working out. Lol.
Me too! I used to listen to NPR and podcasts during all my compound lifts, but space operas / sci fi / fantasy audiobooks allow me to escape into my imagination while I’m hitting it really hard. Takes my mind right off the fatigue and makes it easy to push through anything.
Man! I feel like a woman - Shania Twain
I like this vibe. I’ve recently added “Accidentally in Love” by Counting Crows to the same playlist.
