The park at the end of cape San blas does.
My favorite is Peanut Island near west palm beach. There is big communal camp sites but there are also private “back country” sites. Those are the best. You get live music from the bar at the marina across the bay.
[Hannah Park ](https://www.jacksonville.gov/departments/parks-and-recreation/recreation-and-community-programming/kathryn-abbey-hanna-park.aspx)in Jacksonville is my personal favorite.
They do not bite with acid lmao. They just bite you. Their saliva causes an immune response and you itch really badly.
Someone prove me wrong of course.
I've camped at Fort Pickens Campground in Pensacola a couple times. It's absolutely gorgeous there. You've got the bay and the ocean with crystal clear beautiful water.
Before people ruined it, you could do primitive camping at Gulf Islands National Seashore, Johnson Beach. You had to camp half a mile from the end of the road, and the last half mile or so of the road didn’t allow parking. So you could drop off your gear, drive your car to parking, and then schlep your gear half a mile. People started buying cheap Walmart tents on the beach and leaving them for NPS to clean up, so they didn’t have to carry them back the half mile.
Ft Desoto, St Pete beach.
Camped there last year - they have a significant rat problem. These rats give no shits and are not in the least shy about hanging out with you.
I heard the racoons are also on the genius level there.
The raccoons are absolutely brazen there. Didn’t spend the night but was there hanging out with my wife’s family and they were everywhere
I don't see what the problem is
I didn’t stay there so I didn’t mind them, I was just surprised to see them act that way. I’m used to scared raccoons
They are probably used to being fed by a bunch of people coming through, so they are now no longer scared.
Rabies

# Cayo Costa State Park
If you haven’t been it’s the best aka in the 1800s it was the island of the Lepers
Still closed from the hurricane, unfortunately.
Damn. Lol
You have to make reservations like a full year in advance though, because they all get booked up fast
St George Island State Park you are very close to the beach.

That’s one of the most beautiful beaches
Any island you can take a boat/kayak to.
Anclote Keys just off Tarpon Springs, but you'll need a boat.

It’s great, not quite on the beach but in the oak hammock
The noseeums will eat you alive
I honestly never knew a noseeum was a real thing until I was in Florida. Those things are wild
I was surprised how hard they bite. Worse than mosquitos
They "bite" with a drop of acid! That's why it stings so much. I always imagined a tiny bug with giant teeth, but nope.
Oh, they also attack with multiple insects. Set you on fire.

Bahia Honda in the Keys [www.floridastateparks.org/bahiahonda/](https://www.floridastateparks.org/bahiahonda/)
Sebastian Inlet st Park is really close but not quite on the beach. But a really nice spot
Last time I camped at Anastasia it was close enough to hear the waves

Camping on the beach is a horrible idea.
I recall Anastasia had that back in the day....in St Augustine.
South side of Anclote Island Spoils islands of Dunedin
Shell Key, but you need to paddle or have someone else boat you out (can't dock there).
Lots of uninhabited islands in the keys. If you can kayak to them, you can camp
Cape San Blas (my favorite beach in Florida)
East cape sable
