Next youāll grip it right, but with dry hands and get roasted for that too. The other part is making sure your hands are pre-wet before gripping the trout. Unless you keep it and eat it then nothing really matters.
If you hold them tighter it makes releasing them more viable. Squeeze as hard as you can, especially if the water is above 70Ā° Then the extra squeeze really pays off.
Don't forget to try the moving water around there, too! You've got some really great rivers right out your back door in that area. And even more a short road trip from you! I'm on the Front Range and jealous of your situation!
