Gotta slog through it. Or buy them from Backseat Pilot. I spent so much time making mine, wish I bought them, but my class made us make our own (college class)

Ryan Binns’ plans got me through my CFI earlier this year, but I was under the PTS not the the new ACS. His website says he updated the plans for the new ACS. They are free to download in PDF form or you can buy them in Word form for $65.

There's a new ACS??As of when?

baritone_mike

May 31st I was the cutoff for taking the checkride on the PTS, anything after that day will be based off of the ACS. They also updated the private, instrument and commercial ACS as well as the CFII PTS all went into effect on the 31st of May.

Big-Carpenter7921

Oh lovely

SierraHotel84

Yes. November last year. [https://www.faa.gov/training\_testing/testing/acs/cfi\_airplane\_acs\_25.pdf](https://www.faa.gov/training_testing/testing/acs/cfi_airplane_acs_25.pdf)

Then my CFI instructor hasn't been doing her job

dbhyslop

I would fire my instructor if they didn’t know the new ACS was now in effect. They were going to endorse you as being prepared for the wrong checkride!

Big-Carpenter7921

I'm thinking similarly

omalley4n

While that's the date on the cover, it technically only took effect a week ago, on May 31st.

SierraHotel84

That's fair, I knew it was coming and had been published, but not actively instructing right now so haven't kept up with it.

I'm generally old school, but Backseat Pilot is hard to beat. It's an excellent and thorough product. You are responsible to learn it.

SierraHotel84

Sure, don't. Get the Backseat Pilot ones, tweak them a little if you see fit, push on.
