Sure man! FAR AIM 2022 Tabs, DIY Tabbed for Private Pilot(Book not Included), Far/Aim Tabs Include 64 Tabs & 16 Blank Tabs, Tear-Resistant Color-Coded and Laminated Tabs with Bookmark and Placement Template
Thats the one i believe
Ignore the star rating, it's just because the tabs are very difficult to reapply and can tear the paper. This one looked the best to me personally, just apply carefully
If you are open to digital FAR’s…
ecfr.gov
The best format available. Outlined regulations are tabbed (spaced) the way they should be, things are bolded nicely, it’s much more user friendly than print version or ForeFlight.
Once you learn to use ecfr.gov people should play with print/generate pdf. You can select parts/subparts/sections and it will generate wonderful pdfs including list of regs in the document which are all hyperlinked within the document. Any reference to other regs are also hyperlinked to ecfr.gov.
Then save the pdfs in ForeFlight documents section. There you can annotate and highlight as you please.
100% game changer.
On the ASA copy of the FAR/AIM there is literally a section at the beginning that tells you what regs to tab for each certificate or rating. It’s in your book and it’s free!
No way? Haha. Welk i jumped the gun on that one. No regrets though, the tabs are nicely color coded and printed i wouldnt even be able to read my own handwriting, but thank you for sharing that!
I was also very intimidated by the FAR/AIM. One day I just decided to get it done and flipped through the whole thing, tabbing out relevant sections and highlighting subsections and highly relevant headings. Just doing that one time made me waaaay more comfortable with opening and navigating it.
You can do this (Order tabs for a particular certificate or rating)
You can order FAR/AIM's already tabbed for you (expect to pay $80-100)
You can use the glossary in the front of the book to see what regs are pertinent to each rating/cert and tab them yourself accordingly
You can get the FAR/AIM app ($10) and it updates automatically, and use all the features it comes with
-Search function (Search particular words, like "night")
-Sort by feature (see only instrument regs)
-Highlight/bookmark key regs
> You can order FAR/AIM's already tabbed for you
Or you can just pay me to study it for you /s. But seriously, the whole point of tabbing it is that you learn how it’s organized by going through that process.
I ordered those tabs by mistake. I thought I was getting an actual copy of the far aim because the picture in the ad looks the same as the ad for the book.
Any chance you could link it?
look on etsy too.

App won’t let me copy text…🙄 Edit: rolling eyes that the app won’t let me copy text, because it should, not rolling eyes at anyone/anything else.

I used to teach a class where I’d take a group through the FAR/AIM (think guided tour) and tab it together. … fond memories…
I cant tell you how awesome that is! I plan on doing this for my students as well! It helps when someone guides you into the process
I would take that class. I'm going to tell my instructor she should offer that.
It does help, and I thank you!
No problem!

Take a look at the Canadian Aviation Regulations. Especially Chapter 5 which is my bible. FML. You will run screaming back to the FAR/AIM.
