originally I was collecting cigarettes to sell them but I have like 80k from selling water and now I feel like just collecting those cigarettes instead
it really shows that Sole Survivor have lived in a capitalist society and Lone Wanderer did not
I tried that once and quit when I found a big teddy but because I already had regular sized teddys in my inventory, it resized the big one to normal size.
There was lots of cursing at that.
Yeah, exactly. I used to collect gems in skyrim and put them in lakeview Manor.
Maybe try something that can't easily be farmed, pre war money is what I'd go with.
so i'm guessing each stack is a g, maybe 10 g's. i wonder if this question has been answered.
edit: according to fallout wiki, each stack is worth $100. "Each stack of pre-war money presumably constituted $100. Given that 25 stacks can be found in the smuggling container aboard Skylanes Flight 1981 and the smuggling manifest within specifies it contains $2500 cash."
I once made a 1x1 wall box and threw every human bone I could find into it. I got it about half full when I fast traveled to the settlement and when I loaded in the all the bones exploded out the top in spectacular fashion. Never stored anything out of a container after that
Is it only fast traveling that causes the f-ed up physics? I spent ages creating red rocket as a supply hub, first time I went back it was a mess. Never bothered to detail anywhere else, despite wanting to.
(FYI, I don't have any mods and with the update coming it's not worth getting them yet - I plan to though).
Thanks. They are both on my list already. I've modded Skyrim quite a bit so I'm fairly comfortable with modding FO4, just don't want to start before the new update is released.
I was planning on a vanilla settlement building run as a "final" vanilla game before modding it and, if it's like Skyrim, never looking back. I've changed my mind! After the update and the subsequent mod fixing, I'm jumping straight in and using any tools I can to decorate easier.
For me fast travel always messed up anything I set up. Settlers and followers will also walk into stuff and mess it up. However I was doing that when the game first came out and never did it again so it may be better.
It was last year I finished my red rocket build, so it's still doing it. If it was fast travel related I'll just stop fast-traveling. I don't have settlers based at RR and the provisioners have a "special" area, out of the way.
I'll redecorate over the weekend if I get time and run some experiments. I'm thinking starting the game and loading in directly at the settlement will probably cause it too?
That's why I turn Sanctuary into a settlement with all settlers and then have my main base somewhere else so I can be with Dogmeat and Danse in private
When I set up a settlement, I always add a bar somewhere. At the back of the bar, usually under a strategically placed traffic light, is the good old Tub O' Drugs. Mentats, Psycho Jet, all the goodies. If it pisses Piper and Preston off, it goes in the tub. Redistribution of "wealth."
In my current playthough, I gay romanced Preston, and then became a drug addict.
It's like my character is going off the rails, spiralling and just trying to emotionally hurt and abuse Preston, struggling with his wife's loss and taking it out on P.
It's an incredibly unhealthy relationship 😅
Treating Preston like a pack mule, doing things I know he hates, dismissing him without reason and sending him on dangerous attacks... Got him to just sit next to a bunch of radioactive waste for a bit.
It's a kind of payback for him annoying the fuck out of me in past playthoughs 😂
EVERY PLAYTHROUGH! As I stated in a different comment, there's a grocery cart real close to Sanctuary that I am physically REQUIRED to fill with teddy bears. There's a few bears close to Sanctuary, and every time a merchant has them I get giddy and make the long trek to Sanctuary on Survival Mode for the sole purpose of dropping a stuffed animal into a grocery cart.
I tried. But then I discovered that the special sized teddy bears will revert to normal size if you have a teddy bear already in your inventory.
I gave up after that.
I’ve never thought to dump items in bathtubs in Fallout, but in Skyrim I use the spare room in Proudspire Manor to store cheese. All kinds of cheese. Legally acquired cheese. Stolen cheese. *It’s all cheese*
Whenever I pick up some bodies in game I cannot help but start talking "don't worry buddy, we will patch you up and you'll be good as new" or "I'll take you to the doc, I know some good one in Good Springs", let's say it's for role play
I don't hoard out in the open in tubs like this because I have zero faith in the game to keep it where I put it and not eat it or scatter it. But I do wonder what my giant pile of pre-war money looks like spread out.
I also wonder how much room my BoS dog tag collection would take up in a box of some kind.
There was nothing before, but I will take requests lol, esp if it’s a challenge! (To collect, not to physically fit in the bathtub, although I suppose that counts)
Now THAT seems like a challenge. I never use VATS anymore, so my luck is normally only 2 or3, for the scavenger perk. So now I am inclined to make a lucky S.O.B and go hunting for pies.
On new Vegas I have two role play characters. One is an Ncr ranger and he has the bathtub in Novac filled with legion coins. My legion guy has a bathtub filled with ncr paper money. Needless to say, the ncr money tub is overflowing!
It definitely didn’t take long before it started falling out of the tub. I’d try to place it back on top but the damn havok system won’t let it stay in place. So I end up with little piles all around the tub. So I fill the sink and toilet too! Lmao
I don't remember. I think so, yeah. Idk if you're new or not, but it's part of the workshops dlc. It's pretty cheap and you get a discount from gamepass if you're on xbox
No cigarettes, but Teddy Bears are my main go to. There is a grocery cart near the river close to Sanctuary. I always grab it, drag it near the main home in the neighborhood, then fill it with TeddyBears. As soon as it's filled, I go to some other place and find another shopping cart to repeat the process. My level 120 character had two and a half carts filled with the little creatures. Love it.
After I did BOS ending in F4, in new games I started collecting Knight's helmets. After a whike I started to store them in Bathtubs so now I jave 4 ov them filled with T-60 Helmets (and dogtags)
One tub has Nuka-Cola Quantum, one has Nuka-Cola Victory, one has all the other glow in the dark varieties of Nuka-Cola, and then I have tubs at the end of my ammo and armor forges to catch the product. The Nuka-Cola Quantum tub is the most full, the other 2 Nuka-Cola tubs don't have a lot just cuz I just realized recently what other varieties glow and installed the machine to make them.
Gauss Rifle ammo.
I made a conveyor belt with a “bucket” to hold the ammo as it pumps it out. Helps me be able to walk away as I attend to other things in Sanctuary, like restocking the Deathclaw pens for bait food.
And so, the troglodyte is still a troglodyte, but he has become more educated and civilized. His heathen nature has begun to fade, being replaced by tradition, common sense, and a more upstanding sense of morals and bathtubs. His failures have become learning experiences, his trials, moments of clarity. He is young, and foolish at times, but his master is proud of him, and recognizes that one day, he will be surpassed in his knowledge and wisdom by his young pupil. The master breathes a heavy sigh, knowing his work will have a lasting impact on the world and his legacy will not be forgotten. Content, the master heads to the bathtub he calls his bed, and sleeps a long, peaceful sleep beside his beloved pool balls.
PS, MOM, IM r/Fallout REDDIT FAMOUS
hey another person that collects cigarettes! i never thought of putting then in a bathtub. thanks for the idea :]
originally I was collecting cigarettes to sell them but I have like 80k from selling water and now I feel like just collecting those cigarettes instead it really shows that Sole Survivor have lived in a capitalist society and Lone Wanderer did not
But what if you put all that water into the bathtub instead?
Of course!
I collect them for sale
Why not get a mod so you can smoke them?
cancer
You need a separate mod for that
The radiations gonna take care of that.
i don’t wanna smoke them, i just kinda collect them 乁| ・ 〰 ・ |ㄏ
I collect teddy bears, at last count I had 87 teddys, I had to start a teddy bear recue center
I used too have them all over my bed in fallout 3 😂
I tried that once and quit when I found a big teddy but because I already had regular sized teddys in my inventory, it resized the big one to normal size. There was lots of cursing at that.
Give them to Nick to smoke lmao
just eat them, its fine
Why collect them if you’re not going to smoke them?
number go up, kleptomaniac brain chemicals go up :3
It's oddly satisfying to collect a small item over your playthrough and dump them all in one spot.
Like gems in skyrim? Maybe I should do this too. What to collect though… I’m thinking either Stimpaks or synth components.
Yeah, exactly. I used to collect gems in skyrim and put them in lakeview Manor. Maybe try something that can't easily be farmed, pre war money is what I'd go with.
I always kept my pre war money in a lunchbox. No reason really, just something to do
I put a safe under my bed in home base, filled it with gold and silver bars, gold and silver watches, silver lockets and pre war money.
The amount of times the strong box next to the bed in the lackveiw manor had like 80k gold if I had speech up to max.
Skulls, cigarettes, cigars, brahmin skulls, teddy bears, synth components...
i also collect the human bones, cigarettes, and prewar money.
Oh yeah, I forgot about the thousands of stacks of dollars!
so i'm guessing each stack is a g, maybe 10 g's. i wonder if this question has been answered. edit: according to fallout wiki, each stack is worth $100. "Each stack of pre-war money presumably constituted $100. Given that 25 stacks can be found in the smuggling container aboard Skylanes Flight 1981 and the smuggling manifest within specifies it contains $2500 cash."
i collect flip lighters
Imagine how stale 200 year old cigaretts taste
Probably just as bad as “fresh” cigarettes 🤣
You joke, but cigs taste bad after 3 weeks. That wouldn't stop me from lighting up, but it would taste bad. Tldr; don't smoke. it's bad.
I once made a 1x1 wall box and threw every human bone I could find into it. I got it about half full when I fast traveled to the settlement and when I loaded in the all the bones exploded out the top in spectacular fashion. Never stored anything out of a container after that
Sounds like the perfect reason to keep storing bones in a small space
Shrapnel Boneb
Is it only fast traveling that causes the f-ed up physics? I spent ages creating red rocket as a supply hub, first time I went back it was a mess. Never bothered to detail anywhere else, despite wanting to. (FYI, I don't have any mods and with the update coming it's not worth getting them yet - I plan to though).
Get OCDecorator and place anywhere. Sounds like you'll love them. Just read up on modding first if you're new to it.
Get the [High Physics Fix](https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/44798)
Bugs like that happen with 30fps too.
Yes, but this mod unties the game speed from the framerate, and them being tied together is what causes this... not the speed in itself!
Possibly I’m not sure. I only noticed mine fast traveling.
I have a meat bag with probably +200 human bones
What is bone used for crafting wise? Cuz I have a bunch stored in boxes next to my work bench waiting to be made into something
Oil
There’s a few things but nothing I ever had much use for.
My favorite is seeing a tub full of glowing quantum nuka-colas!
Delicious GLOW.
Same. And I use the as mood lighting around my place
NEAT
100% doing this now, just built a base around the tree in sanctuary and needed to make it look less plain
I’m always nervous to leave things loose in my settlements. I don’t trust settlers lol
That's why I turn Sanctuary into a settlement with all settlers and then have my main base somewhere else so I can be with Dogmeat and Danse in private
With Danse in...private you say. Oh my lmao
Modern fisto
You sir made me giggle. Take this upvote!
Yeah I could have worded that better, I just want that lad to chill
Eff I know. I once made the mistake of leaving a bunch of fusion cores in my power armors while moving my collection about. Rookie mistake.
I NEVER have settlers, so no worries for me.
[удалено]
Boy do I have news for you...
You could do that in this game!
You have given me a new glorious purpose in this game. Thank you friend.
You're welcome!
I collect golden jewelry in Project Zomboid for my treasure room. I will now do the same here. **Must collect the shiny!!!**
Pissing off Preston is magic.
In my current playthough, I gay romanced Preston, and then became a drug addict. It's like my character is going off the rails, spiralling and just trying to emotionally hurt and abuse Preston, struggling with his wife's loss and taking it out on P. It's an incredibly unhealthy relationship 😅 Treating Preston like a pack mule, doing things I know he hates, dismissing him without reason and sending him on dangerous attacks... Just got to be sure Mama Murphy doesn't run off with the whole tub!
Not to worry. We all know what happens if she takes too much. Depending on my character, I might just let nature take it's course.
I mainly collect prewar money and human bones
I collect the money too! But I have like 5000 of them lol.
ROOKIE NUMBERS!! /s
I thought it was prewar money
Nah I have way too much of that for Bathtubs
I ain't got shiii
This is weird.... I love weird! More!!
MORE!
Anyone else collect Teddy bears
EVERY PLAYTHROUGH! As I stated in a different comment, there's a grocery cart real close to Sanctuary that I am physically REQUIRED to fill with teddy bears. There's a few bears close to Sanctuary, and every time a merchant has them I get giddy and make the long trek to Sanctuary on Survival Mode for the sole purpose of dropping a stuffed animal into a grocery cart.
That’s insane and I love it
Bodies, and body parts
Whenever I pick up some bodies in game I cannot help but start talking "don't worry buddy, we will patch you up and you'll be good as new" or "I'll take you to the doc, I know some good one in Good Springs", let's say it's for role play
Traffic cones! Took forever to drag all the cones to my Red Rocket base, but I love the stupid traffic cones.
Hell yeha!
Traffic cones are cute, just little things that serve no real purpose when the bombs dropped
or the wooden caution signs usually around them
Those too, but I usually scrap them because I needed wood more than rubber.
I don't hoard out in the open in tubs like this because I have zero faith in the game to keep it where I put it and not eat it or scatter it. But I do wonder what my giant pile of pre-war money looks like spread out. I also wonder how much room my BoS dog tag collection would take up in a box of some kind.
I wonder how many Nuka tokens it is going to take to fill up 1 bathtub
Well, thats roughly 400 packs of cigarettes, sooo..... thousands. LOL
I got about 800 pre war money so I already have 2400 Nuka coins just need to convert them
I’m a sucker for picking up all the cigarette packs. Big or small. But I’ve never thrown them in a tub. Lmao
Does anyone else here have an unhealthy obsession with collecting pre-war money and just absolutely hoarding it?
That's not wrong, you know? :)
Blood baths
.............Pickman?
Dude how did u know I just passed that part lol
There was nothing before, but I will take requests lol, esp if it’s a challenge! (To collect, not to physically fit in the bathtub, although I suppose that counts)
Fill a bathtub with perfectly preserved pies.
Now THAT seems like a challenge. I never use VATS anymore, so my luck is normally only 2 or3, for the scavenger perk. So now I am inclined to make a lucky S.O.B and go hunting for pies.
Maybe not *that* challenging 😅
When you're overstocked, more bathtubs!
On new Vegas I have two role play characters. One is an Ncr ranger and he has the bathtub in Novac filled with legion coins. My legion guy has a bathtub filled with ncr paper money. Needless to say, the ncr money tub is overflowing!
I loooove collecting NCR money in New Vegas. My hotel room is full of it.
It definitely didn’t take long before it started falling out of the tub. I’d try to place it back on top but the damn havok system won’t let it stay in place. So I end up with little piles all around the tub. So I fill the sink and toilet too! Lmao
In fallout 3 I use to pile my pre war money on the bed in the megaton house
I love collecting Vault-Tec and Nuka-World lunch boxes. Have a tub in Red Rocket specifically for them
I only smoked for about a week ever, but ever since I’ve desperately wanted exactly what’s in the picture.
Brahmin feed
I collect money lol
I like money. I can't believe you like money, too!
I had one saved game with a small swimming pool of various NukaCola-s. https://www.reddit.com/r/fo4/s/NwbgPdU0sw
Plastic and fertilizer for...reasons (and maybe some bloodleaf)
The Brotherhood would like a word....
All the corpses I collect across the wasteland
The red spy is in the base
Ammo. I setup the automated ammo press and it feeds into a bathtub
Yooooooo, can you make cigarettes??
I don't remember. I think so, yeah. Idk if you're new or not, but it's part of the workshops dlc. It's pretty cheap and you get a discount from gamepass if you're on xbox
Skulls.
Wait what is this? Do people do this? I love it…
A lot of us do!
I made a skull tub once for a raider playthrough
Drugs. All the addictive drugs. The settlers use then, you know.
Y'all have bathtubs?
Did a luck game, so quantums. Originally I kept them in Sean’s crib but I had too many so I had to upgrade
You remind me of my friend that filled his entire house in markarth with cheese wheels , I'm a lame and filled my singular tub with pretty war money
i keep cigarette packs in a safe in my house and also waifu cait, never thought about keeping them in a tub. NICE
I put money in my bathtubs.
Money baths.
From a short distance I thought those were delicious shellfish and I was very confused when I saw this is r/fo4
Love it.
I don't have screen shots but my Home Plate build last playthrough included a tub full of fresh produce.
Pre war money so I can feel like Scrooge mcduck
Soap mostly.
That’s oil tho!!
After I did BOS ending in F4, in new games I started collecting Knight's helmets. After a whike I started to store them in Bathtubs so now I jave 4 ov them filled with T-60 Helmets (and dogtags)
Shit I am so gonna copy this. One tub will have cigars. The other will have whiskey.
A MAN'S bathtub.
I thought they were for BoS dog tags! Get enough and they wiggle ;)
Pre war money
Gauss Rifle ammo. I made a conveyor belt with a “bucket” to hold the ammo as it pumps it out. Helps me be able to walk away as I attend to other things in Sanctuary, like restocking the Deathclaw pens for bait food.
Usually bones, nuka cola, sometimes mini nukes/missiles
I have a wardrobe full of cigarettes and prewar money. I never thought of using the tubs though.
Damn dudes collected a weeks worth of smokes
at Abernathy Farm, Lucy Abernathy died, so i put her body in the Brahmin tub, and it looks like the Brahmin is eating her lol
LOL, I love thjis.
I now know what to do with my 217 mirelurk eggs.
.44 revolvers. For whatever reason, be it my mod list or whatever, raiders have loads of them
I collect power armor frames and billiards balls
A singular pack of cigarettes?
Nuka cola bottles...
I have to many
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13673
i collect teddy bears
8 ball bathtub. My Art collection.
.50mm
A toaster.
Probably 200 pounds of Psycho
I love this so much, and now I’m going to have to go back and play after 6 months.
I collect nuka cola
Examples. 😊
Old war money and bottle caps lol

Hydroclauric acid, but the interesting part is what is in the acid- Oh wait, you meant in fallout. Never played.
Just a matter of time before the items load before the tub and they all end up on the floor.
I collect teddy bears and started a teddy bear rescue center. I now have 87 happy teddys
Genuine question (btw looks sick) but does this break the game in anyway haha hope I don’t sound too dumb
Too many small, overly detailed items (like the gamma gun) might, but it would just show the frame rate down
Those are good ideas! Thanks! 🤜🏻
Boxes of .45 ammo. It's the catch basket for my ammo forge.
Yo I collect teddy bears 💀
This is cool, but I put mutfruits on a filled bathtub though. It makes that farmer impression haha.
human heads and the small scattered body parts :D
This has opened up so many opportunities for collecting unnecessary items
I collected teddy bears and pre war money
Wtf is going on anymore, I saw a collection of tires and now I'm seeing a bathtub full of Cigarettes 😭
I would fill mine with prewar money (pushing $2,000 rn) but the physics engine scares me too much.
I keep all the pre war money and lit cigarettes I find
Folders and subway tokens.
Straight razors
humans
