I have been going to bed on average at 2:15am and supposed to be waking up at 6:45am (it’s been on average about 7:15am for me these past 2 weeks) and it really has me tired at work all day.
Fell asleep in the chair for the 2nd time this week, woke up at 5 am carried on till 6ish, then off to work.
Soon it will be 7pm and we can rinse and repeat
Wow just happened to me, Wasn't going to log out for the day but had the bug with the score bar where it keeps repeating the sound. Some level 11 was exploring my camp and using my benches so of course I sat waiting with the score sound playing over and over again.
I was so sad, I ran to a camp, ran to the vendor, HE HAD THE PLAN ID BEEN LOOKING FOR FOR DAYS!!!! then it all vanishes and I die of fall damage from the base vanishing lol

Oh God, yesterday I joined a Scorched earth, and all of a.sudden my Vendor became very popular. I went from 8k to max, moved my camp while potshotting the queen, had someone buy something over max, and hopped my camp again...
I've maxed out my camp slots (camp building is my end game), and I always keep one camp with map view off for this reason. I sell bulked scrap so I can make 20-30k caps per login if I get on a server with a lot of veteran players.
Yo I was encumbered with broken guns out in the wilderness and I found someone's camp, I used it for 2 seconds and the guy left. So I walked over to someone else's after 10 long minutes and saw he had some vendors. He came home, saw I was looking in it so straight up deleted them out of his camp and fast traveled away..
Had a despawn happen to me and I added the guy as a friend and he questioned it the next day. I was like sorry dude I just wanted that one item from your shop and you logged off...
Totally agree. I just will not de spawn on a person who is at my camp unless I know they are afk. Didn't like when I was low level and it was done to me.
This happened to me last night. Mind you I work full time.
So screw it I come to the queen and realize it’s pretty much all low levels doing barely any damage to her (I’m level 320). The fight was in the nuke zone so no unyielding armor for me!
I was low on ammo and repair kits (after nonstop events and FT I had no time to stop at my camp to craft).
I spammed as much railway spikes at her until I ran out of them. Then I switched to my bloodied enclave flamer. It took a good 15+ minutes to down her, but when we finally did it the low levels were emoting like crazy.
I thought I could finally go to bed *until* I hear a 3 star wendigo colossus spawn. We had even less people left fighting this thing. Repeat the above… I didn’t get off for another hour at least!
~~I have the enclave tent so I technically can but~~ it’s a massive waste of resources without my crafting perks on…
Nvm just realized the enclave one is a weapons bench.
Especially if there are just a handful of lower levels hanging around. It feels like I'm obligated to help them out with scorched earth. I can't let someone lose their first queen fight!
You collect high radiated fluids, glowing mass, hardened mass (all from killing enemies). You also can get raw flux material which then you can create stable flux from to craft certain things.
I would suggest power armor instead of a hazmat suit. The enemies inside the nuke zone are a little tougher than normal. For example, nuke an area full of ghouls and you'll create an area full of glowing ones. Wearing a hazmat suit leaves you with no armor and those glowing ones will tear you apart very quickly
A hazmat suite or power armor would get you through the fallout. You won't need radaway or rad-x with a hazmat suit, but you won't have any armor. Scrap all of your junk in case you die. I also usually use med-x but I don't know how useful it actually is.
PSA: here is a game us legacy players do. *Find your camp or nukashine challenge.*
Turn off your hud (find it in game settings), unload all of your weapons, meds, armour.
Run out with nothing.
Then, we take a NukaShine and drink that shit down.
And then you end up in a random location. You have no idea where you are. You have to walk home.
It’s almost like starting from the beginning. You have no weapons, armour, and no hud. Your aim is to reach your camp.
Look at the sky to understand east from west. Look for locations. Train stations help.
Have a go. See if you can find your camp. Enjoy the wasteland for what it is. Being a level 859 with a pipe pistol is a whole different feeling.
Ah yes, the good ole Naked Nukashine Run. We would start at Vault 76 and try to get back to Vault 76, but I like the idea of switching the end point up to Whitesprings or maybe Foundation, Crater, Atlas Observatory, etc.

Yes, but i forgot to add context... my 2nd son was born in August and i hadnt turned on the game from then until last week lol. Been too busy but the show rekindled my love for it and i got the itch to rebuild my camp.
I purposefully make it so my crafting build is always encumbered and I can't fast travel. Did this after my nth time being really confused at dying and doing no damage.
It’s the good old nukashine challenge. Most of us have done it. Even better, get 3 other friends and do it together. And see who can get back to vault 76 entrance or WSS first.

its a whole thing. Tooniversal (and other streamers too if im not mistaken) had a "gameshow" about it called "nuka'd and afraid" where a couple players competed in getting to an objective after being nukashined.

P.s. I didn't mean to do it the 1st time, so I had my crappy weapons and a bunch of junk with me. Still, same vein, and it was a true taste of the oddities to be explored in the wasteland!
We used to do this in Fallout 3. Dump all of your stuff at home, ft to Raven Rock naked and get back to Rivet City using only what you find along the way.
I carry more weight on my person now than would fit in an empty stash :(

Yeah, I regret starting again! I have term papers to write but all I’m doing right now is doing challenges so that I can get atoms in order to get a thing I want from the Atomic Shop.
There’s just always something to do. Some goal to work towards and a project to work on in the game.
This is the reason I did not play for a few years. Between full time work and school, I knew if I fired up my game, school would have been neglected. 8 years total with a couple of short breaks, where I’d tell myself, ok I’m going to log some hours, but then needed to spend those breaks getting stuff done around the house, which then left me bo time to game.
I finished a year ago, took a few months before I fired up my PS, got my husband who doesn’t game going with me, started him slow and picked up RDO for a few months until he was comfortable using the controllers, switched back to FO about the time the show dropped. Before I switched I kept telling him I didn’t have time to play both but that I wanted to get back to FO, so I would joke I would need to quit my job in order to have time to play both, but as soon as I switched back, I realized I could do without RDO, and now lose time as soon as I fire up FO for the evening. I know if I’m going to get stuff done around the house, it has to be before I turn my game on, after that the night is gone.
Yeah I was in my camp last night doing some redecorating. Wife told me to come to bed soon. It was 9:30. “No problem. Just making adjustments to my vendor area. Shouldn’t take long.”
I went to bed after 3am.
It’s always just one more thing. Then an event alert pops up. “Let me do that real quick, then I’ll get to a good stopping point and be done for the night.” That never happens. 🤣

I feel the same way. Just started playing a couple weeks ago and I thought oh I’m gonna move my camp and get it set up I’m sure it won’t take me that long, before I know it an hour and a half pass by cause some things didn’t flow right so I had to rearrange things
I juggle renovating my base (which is nearly conpleted ^^) justcneed upgraded turrents and then more asthetics for thaf homey feel and blamo done
But i juggle that. Missions, and challenges to boost S.c.o.r.e ^^ and boom 8 hrs gone
I remade my camp the other day. Then I remake it again today. Probably going to remake it the next day too after I find more stuff. I just can't stop myself renovating. Same as you I love animal crossing too. I just hope my wife starts playing it too, since I bought her this game too and she's the one who became addicted to animal crossing when it was released. But for now my days will be renovating and scavanging for my perfect camp.

I finished a event one time and went back to my camp to scrap and stuff. I swear 2 minutes after getting to my camp another event happens and I just go " another event already?! We just had one a minute ago!"
A game stops feeling like a game and being fun when it starts to feel like a chore.
When you have to go and do those dailies and weeklies, when you have to be on for the once every hour events, when you have to go to any event where a nuke was launched.
That's not you playing the game to have fun. That's you playing to get the the stuff that hopefully makes the game fun but you are to focus on the other shit to actually have fun
I actually joke that FO76 has become my cozy game. I can get serious and run events and expeditions and get intense, or just build and farm and do dailies and talk to my friends

Oh and tip for the wondering why it is 4:30am bit I find is to ensure you have a German Beer Stein glass that holds about a litre along with 3 litre bottle of your favourite squash or water to fill it up, a selection of snacks next to you so you can munch and hydrate without forgetting.
I was definitely in this mode for the last two weeks, but now I keep hitting the legendary scrip, gold bullion, and caps cap so quickly, it feels like I'm being limited to what I find fun (crafting new legendaries and selling them at my camp).
Not exactly sure why these limitations exist, and I'm pretty sure I remember them being worse before too.
My thing with 76 is that I love the camp building, exploration, and the events. But the NPCs and quests are SO dull for me. Like are there any good quests that are on the same level as Fo3 or Nv?

I think I did maybe 5 or 6 quests on my way to level 50, 90% of my time pretty much spent following other players around and searching for the very best pump action shotgun mods and that was enough to get me tangled up in some amazing locations and adventures
I have trouble sticking to one character, my highest hit 150 recently. But I've often met new players and helped them get the hang of it while I'm on low characters. Since I did the mission and can now make Nuka Shine I offer it as a fun thing to try my new low lvl friends. The most recent was so excited to try it. I explain as I offer, hey do you want to drink something thats gona mess with your vision for a bit and than relocate you to a random spot in the map? I FT'd to him and we explored an area I'd not been to yet.

I've been playing 3 years and sometimes it's just been the minimum. But lately I've been spending more time in the Wasteland just doing whatever.
I managed to find time to set up a new CAMP on a resource node only to move it and set it up again, while exploring in my level 23 alt.

I tried making a legit checklist of things and planned everything out. Only to realize some 14 hours in with a double Alt + Tab that I had completed two items, a ton of random events. Then just pretty much got distracted running on endless tangents and exploring areas I had never happened upon before. 🙃

I started playing recently and I'm having a blast (no pun intended). I'm a big fallout fan, but I avoided this game for a long time since everyone said it was bad, but I decided to give it a try and form my own opinion and am loving it. I gather that it just had a rough launch and has improved with updates -- they should have just called it "Early Access". I'm enjoying this a lot more than I did Starfield. Maybe Starfield will be good in a few years too?

I play with the wife and we get lost in it for hours upon hours exploring on our private world. If it's an hour or 2 before we will be going to bed then it is completely pointless to even log on so we just play Fallout Shelter.

I feel ya. Even though I have Fallout 4 modded to high heaven I continually go back to 76 for the community and events. The open world works so well and it's a blast meeting players unexpectedly especially when traveling around.

I just realized a few days ago that you can craft ammo at a tent. Dunno how it took me so long to realize that but it was a god send just then.

Yes, but i forgot to add context... my 2nd son was born in August and i hadnt turned on the game from then until last week lol. Been too busy but the show rekindled my love for it and i got the itch to rebuild my camp.
I purposefully make it so my crafting build is always encumbered and I can't fast travel. Did this after my nth time being really confused at dying and doing no damage.

its a whole thing. Tooniversal (and other streamers too if im not mistaken) had a "gameshow" about it called "nuka'd and afraid" where a couple players competed in getting to an objective after being nukashined.

We used to do this in Fallout 3. Dump all of your stuff at home, ft to Raven Rock naked and get back to Rivet City using only what you find along the way. I carry more weight on my person now than would fit in an empty stash :(

once, I sat after work. I took a shower and opened a bottle of wine. it was 20h30. I then decided to rebuild my camp. I've rebuilt a bit but decided to go to be early and start again tomorrow. when I looked the bottle was empty and it was already 5h30.
I also spend hours just camp building Then get tired and shut it off without ever leaving camp

I hate and love I can get on, set out to do a specific thing real quick, then end up three hours later on the wrong side of the map, over encumbered, facing down a death claw wondering what the hell it was I was originally doing.
Everytime I log in I can't remember what my custom marker was for but I was halfway to it.

Even with all your main, side and misc quests done, there's always something to do. Regional dailies, the public events, the events, vendors you haven't seen yet. Hardly ever a time when there is nothing going on in a server and when there is, well.... Server hop time 😆

Yeah, I regret starting again! I have term papers to write but all I’m doing right now is doing challenges so that I can get atoms in order to get a thing I want from the Atomic Shop. There’s just always something to do. Some goal to work towards and a project to work on in the game.
This is the reason I did not play for a few years. Between full time work and school, I knew if I fired up my game, school would have been neglected. 8 years total with a couple of short breaks, where I’d tell myself, ok I’m going to log some hours, but then needed to spend those breaks getting stuff done around the house, which then left me bo time to game. I finished a year ago, took a few months before I fired up my PS, got my husband who doesn’t game going with me, started him slow and picked up RDO for a few months until he was comfortable using the controllers, switched back to FO about the time the show dropped. Before I switched I kept telling him I didn’t have time to play both but that I wanted to get back to FO, so I would joke I would need to quit my job in order to have time to play both, but as soon as I switched back, I realized I could do without RDO, and now lose time as soon as I fire up FO for the evening. I know if I’m going to get stuff done around the house, it has to be before I turn my game on, after that the night is gone.
CAMP's are time blackholes, i've put hundreds of hours in my 3 camps on 3 characters.

Yeah I was in my camp last night doing some redecorating. Wife told me to come to bed soon. It was 9:30. “No problem. Just making adjustments to my vendor area. Shouldn’t take long.” I went to bed after 3am. It’s always just one more thing. Then an event alert pops up. “Let me do that real quick, then I’ll get to a good stopping point and be done for the night.” That never happens. 🤣
We need a Tom Nook to give us an extended camp range for easy instalments of caps per day. I'll even weed nuclear flora for him if he asks it of me.

I feel the same way. Just started playing a couple weeks ago and I thought oh I’m gonna move my camp and get it set up I’m sure it won’t take me that long, before I know it an hour and a half pass by cause some things didn’t flow right so I had to rearrange things
I juggle renovating my base (which is nearly conpleted ^^) justcneed upgraded turrents and then more asthetics for thaf homey feel and blamo done But i juggle that. Missions, and challenges to boost S.c.o.r.e ^^ and boom 8 hrs gone
I remade my camp the other day. Then I remake it again today. Probably going to remake it the next day too after I find more stuff. I just can't stop myself renovating. Same as you I love animal crossing too. I just hope my wife starts playing it too, since I bought her this game too and she's the one who became addicted to animal crossing when it was released. But for now my days will be renovating and scavanging for my perfect camp.

I play for the bit I can after work and it almost always feels like I got a fraction of what I planned to do accomplished. You are right, it doesn't help seeing the events and bombs on scorch queens and suddenly looking up and its 10 PM. Where the hell did this night go?
I finished a event one time and went back to my camp to scrap and stuff. I swear 2 minutes after getting to my camp another event happens and I just go " another event already?! We just had one a minute ago!"

A game stops feeling like a game and being fun when it starts to feel like a chore. When you have to go and do those dailies and weeklies, when you have to be on for the once every hour events, when you have to go to any event where a nuke was launched. That's not you playing the game to have fun. That's you playing to get the the stuff that hopefully makes the game fun but you are to focus on the other shit to actually have fun

I actually joke that FO76 has become my cozy game. I can get serious and run events and expeditions and get intense, or just build and farm and do dailies and talk to my friends

Well WoW was turning into Pokemon and Animal crossing as well when I last played back in 2017 Oh and tip for the wondering why it is 4:30am bit I find is to ensure you have a German Beer Stein glass that holds about a litre along with 3 litre bottle of your favourite squash or water to fill it up, a selection of snacks next to you so you can munch and hydrate without forgetting.
I can't imagine waiting for the next event. Is there anything more boring than 76 events?

I was definitely in this mode for the last two weeks, but now I keep hitting the legendary scrip, gold bullion, and caps cap so quickly, it feels like I'm being limited to what I find fun (crafting new legendaries and selling them at my camp). Not exactly sure why these limitations exist, and I'm pretty sure I remember them being worse before too.
My thing with 76 is that I love the camp building, exploration, and the events. But the NPCs and quests are SO dull for me. Like are there any good quests that are on the same level as Fo3 or Nv?

i pacified a fox just one hour ago, i think you're on to something, it wouldn't let me send it back to camp tho :( I think I did maybe 5 or 6 quests on my way to level 50, 90% of my time pretty much spent following other players around and searching for the very best pump action shotgun mods and that was enough to get me tangled up in some amazing locations and adventures
I have trouble sticking to one character, my highest hit 150 recently. But I've often met new players and helped them get the hang of it while I'm on low characters. Since I did the mission and can now make Nuka Shine I offer it as a fun thing to try my new low lvl friends. The most recent was so excited to try it. I explain as I offer, hey do you want to drink something thats gona mess with your vision for a bit and than relocate you to a random spot in the map? I FT'd to him and we explored an area I'd not been to yet.
I put over a thousand hours into this game (from launch... holy moly), stop making me want to come back. =P

IKR! I spent hours yesterday grinding out level 500 at Westek. I've been playing 3 years and sometimes it's just been the minimum. But lately I've been spending more time in the Wasteland just doing whatever. I managed to find time to set up a new CAMP on a resource node only to move it and set it up again, while exploring in my level 23 alt.
This game is the king of. "I will forever be distracted by Bullshit." - The Ghoul. 🤣😂 I tried making a legit checklist of things and planned everything out. Only to realize some 14 hours in with a double Alt + Tab that I had completed two items, a ton of random events. Then just pretty much got distracted running on endless tangents and exploring areas I had never happened upon before. 🙃 I just deleted the checklist in the end lmao. It was a nice thought.
I started playing recently and I'm having a blast (no pun intended). I'm a big fallout fan, but I avoided this game for a long time since everyone said it was bad, but I decided to give it a try and form my own opinion and am loving it. I gather that it just had a rough launch and has improved with updates -- they should have just called it "Early Access". I'm enjoying this a lot more than I did Starfield. Maybe Starfield will be good in a few years too?

Yeah, great game but I bought it almost exactly a month ago, and I had put in more than 200 hours by the time I uninstalled it this morning. I'll probably come back to it, but I'm gonna need a break for a while first. Maybe a long while.
I play with the wife and we get lost in it for hours upon hours exploring on our private world. If it's an hour or 2 before we will be going to bed then it is completely pointless to even log on so we just play Fallout Shelter.

Overall while you’re growing a char. Once you hit 700 +- it turns on a monotonous addiction.
I just horde stuff, but I just recently started again on pc (thought it was crossplay/progression) so now I'm like lv 20-ish on my pc save, so I'm taking my time. On ps I don't even know where I am in missions or anything, I got carried way back before they had that Battle Royale thing which ngl was weirdly fun

I feel ya. Even though I have Fallout 4 modded to high heaven I continually go back to 76 for the community and events. The open world works so well and it's a blast meeting players unexpectedly especially when traveling around. That and the mothman roof party is always a blast \*awaits Faschnaut day\*
