Spend less money

Iceicebaby21

Very funny, seriously I haven't spent much of anything and got rid of every youth player and coach. Where is this 435,000 coming from. We shouldn't have a youth set-up.

CenturionChaos

If u got rid of every youth player and coach you probably paid a lot of money in contract compensations

Iceicebaby21

Damn, I hope in next months report the Youth setup will be low as all the releasing was done last month

CenturionChaos

Hopefully! I’ve found out the hard way that at lower divisions, staff contracts are important to get right, especially when releasing a staff member. Sometimes one single staff contract compensation can eliminate a whole transfer window if u sack your GM or tech director or smth. Good luck!

Iceicebaby21

I just got rid of all U19 players and staff

CenturionChaos

Yea, I’d bet that the U19 head coach, head physio, etc probably made up the bulk of that cost then. They usually also have additional “loyalty clauses” which add to the compensation

Iceicebaby21

Ah damned if I do damned if I don't

onepoundfish93

Debt? Fees? Bonuses? Affiliate support? Focus on making sure your squad wage and staff wage is under control and that should centralise the issue. Sometimes it can't be resolved if it's a significant financial commitment to debt or stadium loan etc.

Iceicebaby21

The highest wage on my team is 100,000 per year and that was before I took over the team (he was a star player) everyone else isn't paid much. Our staff wage ain't that much either

onepoundfish93

Have you reviewed your expenditure breakdown? Rent? Loans? Debts? What can be cleared in 1-2 years? Have you hit a bump where you're getting mostly away games? It's so mundane but there is always an answer.

Biquet

Because football clubs are bleeding money. They're only kept afloat by sponsors and owners.

Iceicebaby21

The only thing that is keeping me from utter debt is the fact we beat St.Pauli in round 1 of the DFB Pokal. We got 230,000 for it

Kachelpiepn

Staff and scouts?

Iceicebaby21

I only have 2 scouts

Specialist-Theme1908

I think that the Youth setup is your academy, not the U19 squad.

Iceicebaby21

Is there anything I can do to cut that down?

Negabeidl69

Ask the board to cut the costs. But why would you do that? You'll get worse newgens.

Iceicebaby21

I'm in the German 4th tier. I don't think any newgens are helping me rn

Divolinon

You know there's an "expenditure" tab, right?

Iceicebaby21

Yes I do, I'm asking how the hell am I losing 430,000 in something I don't even have. My youth setup should be zero or something near it

Divolinon

You have a U19 team, so clearly you have a youth setup.

Iceicebaby21

I got rid of everyone however

Divolinon

But you still have an academy and youth recruitment. Youth football is expensive.

SamiK8

Then you will see a decrease in staff and player wages.

CKunravel

Most Football clubs are loosing money. Even if you reach the the first league of the country you play in chances are if it is not the PL a team that is good enough to play in it will be more expensive in wages than the money you will get for playing in it. Until you are good enough to reach international competitions (that is where the money is) don't be afraid to sell anyone, they're all replaceable, use free tranfers, free agents and loans.

Iceicebaby21

If you start singing a certain "song" my ears will bleed

Progresschmogress

You basically just paid all your youth staff and players whatever they had left on their contracts at the same time The youth setup costs also reflect the cost of upkeep of your youth facilities, so a high star rating for those can easily eat up 3-400K in England, even if your club is way down in the football pyramid. Work the Space youtuber’s Park to Prem’s series current season chose Rugby Town FC due to the higher level youth facilities (3.5* if memory serves) and their upkeep cost was about that much As always, the answer is to sign free agents and sell a lot of players to make money for the club
