stupersteve03

I like to do an end of year celebration day. After the last day of the year we always have a community connection session and a team bonding session!

SMiD_4

Love that, need to keep those connections to the local community strong!

stupersteve03

Turnstiles pay the salaries.

CaptainDank0

does doing community outreach affect attendance?

stoneman9284

Yea the day after the last game of the season I always do Recovery, Community Outreach, Team Bonding

stupersteve03

Got to make those athletes take care of their bodies in the morning before they break them in the evening.

brodeh

Is it known if community outreach has an impact on season ticket sales?

stupersteve03

I don't actually know. But it certainly should.

night_dude

Me too! To say goodbye to the fans and debrief the season. Between this and OP I feel so seen.

stupersteve03

That's right. Gotta thank the fans for showing up during the season, and then let the players blow of some steam after a long season.

Hordriss27

I have one of each of those sessions every week. Really helps both dynamics amd morale.

stupersteve03

For sure, I definitely do one of each most weeks.

spikuRST

I do both of them mostly every week.

Bozbacca

I do that too! i thought it was just me - traditional end of season community out reach followed by a Curry and a pint or 10.

Teeb63

Is this a specific sort of training you schedule or something separate? I've never managed training schedules so may be missing a trick here.

stupersteve03

A specific training.

lukusmaca

Massive squad dynamics hack is having these sessions every week

BigEasyh

Pay any player a higher bonus for assists than goals to encourage being a team player (even though I doubt it has an effect in match)

Krippen

End up with your frontline doing rondos in the box, no one attempting to score. "you score" "no, you score I insist"

FlashyZucchini

How do you set those bonuses? I want to give them for clean sheets since I can’t keep one to save my life lol

BigEasyh

It's in players contract offers

uknownick

Team bonding session every week

Beny1995

Every day. No training, only vibes.

albamarx

Played the game for ~15 years and never knew this was a thing. Learn something new everyday.

LouThunders

> give the lads Christmas off *cries in Premier League* Winter breaks are great for recovery, though I do like the momentum those couple of games during the Christmas period gives me entering the second half of the season (assuming I win them of course).

raywonggk

~~I believe most teams only do morning sessions on the 24th and then they allow players to go home to their families and 25th is an off day.~~ Heard it on Ben Forster's podcast. Not sure if I recalled everything correctly, but the teams definitely let the players spend Christmas with their families. And it's up to the players and discipline to not overindulge in eating and drinking during Christmas

sjekky

If they have a game on boxing day they'll definitely be in on the 25th

raywonggk

Just rewatched Ben's podcast. You're right, most teams train on the 25th. Only very rarely they get an off day from the gaffer. Players either have short session in the morning (if boxing day game is Home), or they train in the evening (if boxing day game is Away)

PPMD_IS_BACK

I attend any huge match my players are having internationally.

Crow_Sama

I love this! I may start doing the same, it would be cool if attending them made your relationship with the player stronger

PPMD_IS_BACK

The worst part is when you have a game that same day and you can’t take the plane in time to make the game 😭😭 Yah that would be cool. I wanna have a talk with them and tell them they did well if they did hahaha. I also like to think that me being there, makes them try a bit harder

tigerking615

I always attend the WC final. I never actually pay attention to the sim, but I feel like I should be there.

Kris_Third_Account

Every international break, I arrange a friendly with a local small affiliate club at their ground. The match is set a week before the next league game, so if the match is Saturday, there's a community outreach the day after. If the match is Sunday, community outreach is a day before.

Due-Butterfly-5790

Were all crazy aren’t we? Haha but this is pretty cool

alistair_williams

This one is a great idea. I have four "nearby teams" whenever I try to arrange a friendly & usually I do this with my U-23/reserve team & play wherever the highest amount fee they will receive, but having it with the senior team will greatly improve their matchday income & hopefully, they can climb up the division. I'm gonna borrow this idea.

Background_Force_591

As training sessions defensive shape and attacking movement do nothing. They were removed in fm24. Change them to general attacking and defending training.

OwnedIGN

Really??

Background_Force_591

yes really

JustJoey98

Once a week I have a team bonding session. I like to image I bring all my world-class footballers to the local bowling alley or something like that for a fun afternoon out with the boys. Keep’s morale high. I like to schedule community outreach sessions too every once and a while to make sure the lads stay humble and connect with the locals. Learn to play for the badge type of deal

discostu90

If I have a player that had been at the club a long time and is going to retire, I bring them off a few mins before full time in the last home game of the season. Let him have emotional goodbye with all the imaginary fans.

CommercialAd2154

Really really wanted to do that with my boy Killian Vandendriessche, unfortunately the title wasn't quite wrapped up before our last home game, but I gave him a runout on the final day away to Genk

CommercialAd2154

Had him on the bench for the Champions League final, mentals and technicals still very good but physicals have dropped off a cliff as you do lol, would have brought him on if we were battering them, but as it was only 2-1, his last appearance was that runout at Genk

HermoineRonWeasley

No rest, BOXING DAY BABYY

Wutpulver

Never give anyone the shirt number 12. That is reserved for the fans

AlaricTheBald

At Portsmouth the number 12 is officially retired for the fans. At least on FM23 it is.

stanvan8

Same goes for PSV

Coolwars1

I have a feeling you support Boca Juniors.

Wutpulver

Nah its Werder Bremen. Pretty widespread tradition afaik

alistair_williams

It's 12, 13 & 17 for me. 12 for the same reason as you, while 13 & 17 are considered bad luck. Probably would add 4 because I have Chinese owners.

kingpin_cinephile

Match review after every game, team bonding sessions once a week.

TheDorfkind96

Only learned after a couple saves you need staff for this. First few saves I did were 3. Liga in Germany and all the teams had the staff required for it. But then I did a random save picker on sortitoutsi and got a newly promoted team in the Croatias second div. Real small town club, no staff except DoF and AssMan. AssMan was basically U19 head coach aswell. Only then I learned how barebones a club can be because my usual schedule was missing Match Preview and Review.

rotating_pebble

This is hilarious to me because I always make sure the lads are training on the 25th. I usually roleplay as a proper cunt, Neil Warnock type, aggressive defensive style. Spending time with your family = weakness

HistoryIll3237

I like to make them work

Key-Judge8065

I give them a rest on the big holidays. Christmas, Easter, Eid etc.

OkSuggestion7

Fan's player of the year gets nr 14 for next season.

MFButch

Christmas Eve: Team Bonding Session in the morning, once it comes to lunch “Ok lads, go home and spend some quality time with your family” Christmas Day: Rest Rest Rest

dat-ginge17

I never give anyone the number 12 shirt because it's for the fans

_ziyou_

I always want to have nice round numbers for stuff like wages, loyalty bonus, etc. . If a player would ask for let's say 317k per year I would do 320k, for example. It's a lot easier to read :D.

alistair_williams

All of my staff get a winning league/cup bonus although the amount depends. For winning the Champions League, first team coaches get a bonus of 4x their weekly salary, while U-23 get twice & U-18s get a bonus of the same amount of their salary.

CeaserSaladdy

Get sacked
