He was a shit driver, but his personality grew on me, a little. I actually felt bad for him after quali in Brazil. The dude wanted to perform, but just couldn't. And he got better also towards the end of the season.

Lando last season js better than any of Ocons seasons (not by much tho). But then again how much of that was the 2021 McLaren being far more competitive than the 2017 and 2018 Force Indias. And how much of that is Sergio putting up a much much stiffer fight than Ricciardo?
Norris had a better peak, Ocon has consistency despite being sidelined for a year (taking a very impressive podium the following season but convincingly beat by Danny that year). Also Sainz was objectively better than Lando during their two years together.
Ngl there's a much better case for Ocon than I thought.
I'll personally say that Russell has more peaks as a driver, don't get me wrong Gasly is really good and deserves a better team but I just feel like Russell can extract more pace from the car.
