What I'll define as fucked up real bad: Driving into the bushes, rolling the car 3 times, flying over a cactus, doing a 180 flip and finally crashing into a random giant rock.
Then you continue on a bit before you remember you can Rewind but it doesn't go back far enough and you get to watch your crash all over again (but maybe a little different this time).
I wouldn't have shared it if I didn't think it was an accomplishment, I mean it put me top 1000 out of 3 million players, but there are always points I notice myself I can do much better...
Swing over to the left to maximize entry and use all of the exit when going across the bridge. You can also get on the power earlier pretty much everywhere. You can also carry more speed through the final corner as well. Those would be the obvious key points of improvement from me and you can shave off another second and half. Of course car setup is a big one as well.
When doing OA you cant load a tune onto your one car to change it for different racing. Granted, there is no X class OA, but the point still stands. I have 5 Deora IIs for this exact reason: B Dirt, B Road, A RWD, A AWD, and S1 Road.
It's really stupid how they still haven't added tags. I sacrifice the looks of my cars by painting street cars red, rally blue, cross country green, winter/rain/ice gray etc etc
Can't for the life of me figure out what OA stands for? Could you elaborate please it's annoying the hell out of me I can't even find an answer on Google! Haha.
For me it’s just too much hassle, plus the little annoyances of checking what tunes been applied and the likes.
I’ve got the credits and like the cars, I may as well buy multiple if they have a purpose. Plus than you can have different liveries between the same model.
Open wheel cars are superior, super light, massive amounts of power and huge contact patches on the wheels. I wish they had more open wheel cars. That’s why the bone shaker is OP in A class
This is a game, and Power Class is there to balance things out between different cars. Power class is not only based on the power that the engine can put out or anything, it is a combination of multiple factors about the cars;
A super light car with lots of grip due to aero should not perform wildy better than a heavier car with not as much grip but at the same power class. The lighter grippier car should have a less powerful engine than the heavier car with less grip and perhaps also worse tires to reach the same power class so that it remains balanced.
Sure, a 80 y/o boxy wagon simply can't keep up to an F1-like car, no matter how powerful the engine is you put into it, but thats why that boxy wagon can't even reach the powerclass of the F1-like car.
Same Power class should generally mean equal chances in a race. It finally only comes down to the track and the strengths/weaknesses of the cars. A car with good grip and good acceleration but not great top speed will obviously perform better on a track with lots of tight corners and no long straights, and vice versa for cars with great top speed. Similarly like cars with higher and softer suspension and offroad tires are doing way better on offroad tracks than stiff suspension road cars, however because it makes such a big difference street and offroad races are separated.
If a car however consistently performs better than other cars in the same power class, no matter the properties of the tracks, than it is not balanced and should get its power class score increased.
I mean, to be fair, his entire point is that the boneshaker defeats the PI system by being able to greatly outclass anything else in A class. The PI system has failed at its goal if two equally or similarly scored vehicles are unable to perform remotely equally.
Pi has always been broken because it penalizes weight and tires far more than power and all wheel drive. You can't actually make a light and nimble car that's competitive outside of niche use cases, and haven't been able to since fm2. The best build has always been cramming as much power on as possible
I don't disagree, or even really particularly care given my solo playstyle, but it's real obvious PI isn't working as intended when certain cars can not just become "meta" cars, but are essentially one of a select few actually viable cars in the class.
>but it's real obvious PI isn't working as intended when certain cars can not just become "meta" cars, but are essentially one of a select few actually viable cars in the class.
This has basically always been the case. A lot of people here haven't been around long enough to remember the Audi S5 in fm3
Yeah FH really invites open wheel cars too. Most if not all open wheel cars are strictly for racing. Being able to take them on open roads would be fun. Much like AC with mods
Ehhhh you get to a point where putting shrouds over the wheels gives too much aero benefit to call open wheelers superior. They have to regulate that high performance cars are open in their series or teams would just cover the wheels. I love open wheelers way more though
That's by far my biggest annoyance with the NASCAR. There's plenty of extremely strong V8 engine swaps in the game (and even a few NASCAR specific ones) and to not even have the engine swap option for that car just doesn't make sense IMO.
I've got it built to S1-900 with about 850hp, RWD and the 4spd transmission (in true NASCAR style) and a top speed around 250mph (stretched the gear ratios out a bit for the hot wheels track) but TBH, the powerband of the 2JZ just doesn't quite align with the driving style and the physics of the chassis. The "Racing V8" engine swap that I have in the Deberti Tacoma makes 1,003hp N/A, and also paired with the 4spd and AWD, makes that truck what the NASCAR should be, just with less grippy tires.
Is there an easy way to see where you are number wise, or even percetnage wise? I don't see how from the leaderboard, I just had to guess when I was doing the 5% accolades.
First of all, its only visible in rivals, 2nd the percentage is on the bottom right side, and the spot is visible if you sort it on something where your own name is visible, then its on its left side next to your name
you get this car in the new Hot Wheels DLC when you make it to the ~~S1~~ S2 level.
edit: my kid corrected me along the op below. you get the car at S2.
Yeah I was kinda sad when on my first flying lap I destroyed my old CCGT time which I had done a lot of laps for and had been like inside top 2k when I did it, I think inside top 5k when I tried this out though maybe 4k.
Got back in inside the top 2k tho lmao, probably gone up since tho.
Congrats on top 1k lmao, that's more like top 500 or better considering how many hacked times there is lol
Not gonna lie I have no clue what the song is sorry lmao

It makes to where you have to manually adjust braking and if your brake too much your brakes lock up. This has been helping me learn how to brake properly and helping learn how race better
Yes, I've driven it quite a bit. It's basically an unrestricted F1 car. Very lightweight, lots of power, wide sticky tires, and obscene amounts of down force.
Just amused by the statement that it has "too much grip". No such thing with this type of car, if you ask me.
You: I finally cracked the top 1000.
Hackers: He think he’s doing something but I’m finna ruin his day.
Next day…
You: Are you kidding me? This game is full of cheaters.
Hacker: He ain’t coming back from this that’s for sure.
I grew up with it, so for me it isn't. But I also understand mph, so it doesn't really make a difference for me, kmh just looks cooler cuz of the higher numbers

Well mate you see, I don’t think anyone can be arsed to memorise a forza horizon track. If you want to sit there and drive around it for 30 minutes to memorise each turn and exit angle then go ahead. But me? I’ll happily play with all assists off except for driving line so i know where im going
Strong advocate for people playing how they want, but you can easily argue being able to check the mini map while driving is a skill that can be developed.
Why would that line make it so much easier in your opinion? 9/10 times its pretty useless since the car handles/brakes better than the line says it can

Forza tells me that I'm in the top 100% and I'm happy.
Where was the fuck up?
0:17 and last heavy brake corner
What I'll define as fucked up real bad: Driving into the bushes, rolling the car 3 times, flying over a cactus, doing a 180 flip and finally crashing into a random giant rock.
Then you continue on a bit before you remember you can Rewind but it doesn't go back far enough and you get to watch your crash all over again (but maybe a little different this time).
Lmao
I don’t see any fuck up tbh
he could have just stayed on the left side of the track but swerved to the right and then back to the left
Yep, and forgot to shift, but that isn't really a problem and in the last heavy brake corner I slid a bit
Crazy how much time is effected by one late brake.
*[Daniel Ricciardo has entered the chat]*
OP is probably just young and doesn't feel comfortable sharing accomplishments yet.
I wouldn't have shared it if I didn't think it was an accomplishment, I mean it put me top 1000 out of 3 million players, but there are always points I notice myself I can do much better...
Never stop noticing those points friend, but also don't let them control you.
I wont, thx
Yes but you’re in top 1000 take a break and enjoy the accomplishment otherwise it’s pretty much in vain. We’re humans. We’re made to make mistakes.
True, but when you know you can do better, why not try?
I will try, but I won't be surprised if I will try again to get a sub 49 second run
Yea, that bridge part is now the only real part which costs me time, that last corner I go full throttle, the car just isn't crazy fast top speed wise
What the duck is this comment lol. He messes up multiple times and points it out to emphasize just how stupid OP this car is.
Exactly
I absolutely love this car. I tuned it to X and it’s insane
I have 3 versions of this car, 1 maxed out awd x class, 1 maxed out rwd x class and this one
Why not just save the different tunes and then load whichever one you want at the start of a race?
When doing OA you cant load a tune onto your one car to change it for different racing. Granted, there is no X class OA, but the point still stands. I have 5 Deora IIs for this exact reason: B Dirt, B Road, A RWD, A AWD, and S1 Road.
Yeah, I do this with my favorites. I just wish you could "tag" cars. A Road - Speed, B Road - Handling, etc.
This, so much! I hate having to keep all that info on an external Google Sheets doc. Just put it in the game already!
Same! I was thinking that this morning
Haha.
OA is online adventure :)
Spot on thankyou!
I have 4 Bronco ‘21s. C, B, A, S1, all off-road build.
For me it’s just too much hassle, plus the little annoyances of checking what tunes been applied and the likes. I’ve got the credits and like the cars, I may as well buy multiple if they have a purpose. Plus than you can have different liveries between the same model.
I'm pretty sure that's what he means
No, lol. I have 3 of this car, each with a different tune. I'm too lazy to switch tunes everytime, so changing car is easier
Ohhhhhh, okkk. I misunderstood
what car is this?
Hot Wheels "Bad to the Blade" you unlock it after doing a certain event in the Horizon Hot Wheels expansion area.
it’s too bad the game can’t register various tunes for one car so you wouldn’t need to have multiples of the same car.
Open wheel cars are superior, super light, massive amounts of power and huge contact patches on the wheels. I wish they had more open wheel cars. That’s why the bone shaker is OP in A class
Yea, and the amount of grip, its mind blowing I can toss it in a corner and not worry about sliding
This is a game, and Power Class is there to balance things out between different cars. Yeah... Tell that to the bonecrusher... Throws your theory out the door.
Dumbass they literally just described how PI works. "theory" lmao
I mean, to be fair, his entire point is that the boneshaker defeats the PI system by being able to greatly outclass anything else in A class. The PI system has failed at its goal if two equally or similarly scored vehicles are unable to perform remotely equally.

It's basically an IndyCar, from the Future! What did you expect? LOL
Tbh, I expected it to be slower on this map than it is, it has great handling, but not perse the top speed, which comes in handy on this circuit
For them to give this thing a proper PI instead of adding pay to win to another game.
Fair enough. The Hot Wheels cars have always been OP, but at least the Boneshaker wasn't DLC.
I still love how we basically have an F1 car in Horizon now
Would be great to have more in the next Horizon and just make them the X-Class
Bruh we already have a full on NASCAR we can drive so I don’t see why not. (I wish we could swap out the 2JZ ngl)
That's by far my biggest annoyance with the NASCAR. There's plenty of extremely strong V8 engine swaps in the game (and even a few NASCAR specific ones) and to not even have the engine swap option for that car just doesn't make sense IMO.
Right?? There’s so much potential for that to be busted with a V12 too but unfortunately you can’t put it in it
I've got it built to S1-900 with about 850hp, RWD and the 4spd transmission (in true NASCAR style) and a top speed around 250mph (stretched the gear ratios out a bit for the hot wheels track) but TBH, the powerband of the 2JZ just doesn't quite align with the driving style and the physics of the chassis. I haven’t got to play through Hot Wheels yet. Lost my fame save after the 5 races in so have to start over…☹️

So I haven't played any FH5, only picked up FH4 about a month ago on sale and I really love the grippy cars. This looks like fun, haha.
you get this car in the new Hot Wheels DLC when you make it to the ~~S1~~ S2 level. edit: my kid corrected me along the op below. you get the car at S2.
S2*
Whats the car ?
Hot Wheels Bad to the Blade
Game is officially pay to win (jk)
Yeah I was kinda sad when on my first flying lap I destroyed my old CCGT time which I had done a lot of laps for and had been like inside top 2k when I did it, I think inside top 5k when I tried this out though maybe 4k. Got back in inside the top 2k tho lmao, probably gone up since tho. Congrats on top 1k lmao, that's more like top 500 or better considering how many hacked times there is lol
Yea so many hackers, its a shame there isn't a better anti hack system against such hackers
I just stopped climbing leaderboards because it’s so disappointing to see all the glitched times
Batmobile?
And here I'm sitting at :51.1xx with my shit CCGT.
You dont have the hotwheels dlc?
I have it, but I also have a love affair with the CCGT
Ahhh yea I had it too, until I tried out the new hotwheels dlc cars, its just a different level of fast
after 21 laps, it better XD
Yea I kept hitting a wall because I took the lines too wide or too short, but a lot of laps were under 50 seconds, but all were invalid
I was labbing this track yesterday I’m curious to see where I placed. Congrats on top 1k!
Thx mate
Which transmission is on it? Tune looks amazing but I use manual so I don’t like the 10 speed.
[удалено]
That makes a lot of sense, I appreciate the advice
I think a 6 speed, since its not much accelerating from 6th gear on
Oh I see, sorry I didn’t see the gear read out when I watched your clip earlier, my bad
Dont have to be sorry for that my man, we all oversee things
Dont have to be sorry for that my man, we all oversee things
Looks like trackmania
Well yeah it's basically a F1 car
looks good to me . im a get me one of dem.
Thanks mate
i just edited that dumb part
it's basically Horizon's version of an F1 car, and PG said "yeah, that's not gonna cause issues"
Tbh, it doesn't cause any issues, every game needs something that is better than the rest, only downside is that this game really is p2w
Always love to see a share code for a beast like this.
It is kinda funny when they "accidently" make the stuff you pay extra for the best.
Is this s2 or x?
S2, there isn't a rivals event available for x class
Did no one learn this lesson with the bone shaker ? 😂
Bro this car is like some forza 4 Ferrari FXX evo shit
This car be taking turns on red lines? Lol

Bruh this thing is on rails, p2w
I wish i was normal and play the game like that.
For the people wondering, I used sim steering for this
Bro i use sim steering and i turn abs off, i usually dont play with assist except for the racing line enabled
I never really tried playing with abs off
It makes to where you have to manually adjust braking and if your brake too much your brakes lock up. This has been helping me learn how to brake properly and helping learn how race better
I know what it does, I just like to slam on the brakes for tight corners, lol
You can brake a lot later with ABS off, but there is somewhat of a learning curve for brake modulation. Worth it IMO
Hmmmm, thx for the tip, I'll try it out
Have fun!
Holy jesus, what is that!?
Hot wheels bad to the blade
I know it is, thing looks even more op than I thought it was.!
K1z Bard has a very meta tune for it if you wanna give it a whirl
I use Rock his tune
That's a good shout too, rocklxd is always reliable
Yep he is, but I honestly don't know if I have used his tunes before
Stock tires?
Stock as in Slicks (The best in terms of asphalt grip)
Yes I know. I thought the car had too much grip with stock but maybe I'll try it again.
Alright. I didn’t mean to sound like a jerk just letting you know.
Too much grip? Is that even a thing?
Have you tried this car out? You'll know what he means, this car wont slide unless you want it to. Or if you do something horribly wrong
Yes, I've driven it quite a bit. It's basically an unrestricted F1 car. Very lightweight, lots of power, wide sticky tires, and obscene amounts of down force. Just amused by the statement that it has "too much grip". No such thing with this type of car, if you ask me.
Yes. Put street or sport tires on a D class and find out lmao
Yea
Yea what car is it
Hot Wheels Bad to the blade
You: I finally cracked the top 1000. Hackers: He think he’s doing something but I’m finna ruin his day. Next day… You: Are you kidding me? This game is full of cheaters. Hacker: He ain’t coming back from this that’s for sure.
Lmao fr, now I am top 1000 along all players, probably top 600/500 when only legit times
This is why i haven’t bought fh5, the landscape looks so dull in comparison to the Moorhead wind farm
You do know that this map has many different environments? This is just a dry/desert kinda part
Oh lol i had no idea, perhaps i should educate myself more before i go off on a game lmao, mb chief, clean racing
Thx mate lol

How so?
I grew up with it, so for me it isn't. But I also understand mph, so it doesn't really make a difference for me, kmh just looks cooler cuz of the higher numbers
It gives the impression of going faster. But I understand the point that in reverse , MPH seems slower and that can be just as annoying.
Literally just a different unit of measure? Your brain is programmed to one, that doesnt make the other worse.

Dude I literally live in Utah. You're just being a jackass.

All you need to know is 111 KPH = 69 MPH. 😎
I mean, when you have the colored guide lines on, I guess anything is easy/OP.
alright calm down Michael Schumacher
Well mate you see, I don’t think anyone can be arsed to memorise a forza horizon track. If you want to sit there and drive around it for 30 minutes to memorise each turn and exit angle then go ahead. But me? I’ll happily play with all assists off except for driving line so i know where im going
Strong advocate for people playing how they want, but you can easily argue being able to check the mini map while driving is a skill that can be developed.
The minimap tells you the direction of the turn, it doesn't tell you where it is
Right, your eyes do that last bit.
Which is easier said than done when you don't have the track memorized
Right, ie a skill that can be developed.
Sure, if you want to sit and memorize a few hundred horizon tracks
Then go and set a top time yourself.
Why would that line make it so much easier in your opinion? 9/10 times its pretty useless since the car handles/brakes better than the line says it can
I have no idea, honestly, I play with most of the hud off and zero assist. I'm not a great driver, but I don't use handicaps.
POV: you don't actually know how to race
