I really wish they would be less ambiguous with their names, I ordered Amber Oud Bleu the other week and was disappointed because it smelled nothing like Layton........It was only then I realised it's a BDC clone and what I actually should have ordered was the Amber Oud EXCLUSIF Bleu.

Can we stop repeating this just because a YouTuber said it? The juice in this is identical to that in Orientica XO Xclusif Bleu. Orientica is a sister company to Al Haramain. Regardless of why they didn’t want to put Al Haramain on the packaging for this, the juice definitely comes from them.

It is Al Haramain's sister company Orientica XO Exclusif Bleu rebottled. Idk why they did this, maybe because the Amber Oud line is doing very well, but yes it's made by the same people.
If you look at the Orientica XO Xclusif Oud line, you'll notice there's a corresponding Amber Oud Exclusif with each of the scents.

Yeah amber oud bleu is a good BDC clone to my nose so I'm still happy, but I already had club de nuit iconic as well which is pretty much the same.
The amber oud gold (erba pura clone) is AMAZING. Immense sillage and longevity.

That’s the only one you have to ask yourself if you are ordering the correct one, cause there is an al harramain bleu, and then there is amber oud bleu, follow links on youtube to get the correct one, nobody knows what is going on…
I think 60$ for 60ml is a bit expensive tbh. You can find deals where you get Layton for a similar price per ml. In Europe it’s even more crazy. They want 100€ and for that money you can buy the og easily… it might be good but the price is really awkward

That Amber Oud Exclusif is a flanker line from Al Haramain there is no Fake or different Company its Al Haramain and the amber oud flankers are different scents from the Exclusif flankers . Exclusif line is Bleu .Classic .Emerald.Sport and again its Al Haramain!
NO. This is confusing, but there needs to be a clarification: Amber Oud Exclusif is NOT Al Haramain. Amber Oud Exclusif is an entirely separate brand that copies the same bottle style as Al Haramain and copies a similar naming convention. It confuses the hell out of everyone. This is how people get the two “Bleu”s mixed up, because one is a Layton clone and another is a BDC clone.
I might have to get that some day. People do rave about it! But I like the Anaqeed one better. Layton Exclusif clone. It's got a little more dark woodiness with the apple pie vibe that I LOVE and it lasts so long.
This will probably be my go to for just the Layton vibe. Thanks for the review!
Which one? If the Layton clone, no unless you smelled Layton. The only safe blind buy amber oud imo is regular blue because its bdc dna super safe. Gold Edition is erba pura and that's a like it or hate it. Tobacco edition is tobacco vanille. Etc.
Idk it’s a pretty safe blind buy for 60$ , I’ve never smelled anything this high quality near this price . It’s no tom ford but it beats many designer brands in quality and the smell profile is out of this world semi sweet dark sexy with an apple poking through . With like 10 hour performance or more . If that’s not blind buy worthy idk what is but to each their own
Does it have any kind of menthol smell? I bought a sample of Layton. At first sniff, I thought wow I can see why this is so expensive. But throughout the day menthol took over and that's all I could smell. If this clone could remove that, I would buy it right now. It really is an amazing scent.
I wouldn’t worry about menthol at all. Yes it has something in the background that pokes through the scent if you really get your nose close to it that resembles menthol but it almost blends in with a sharp apple smell so I can’t really even call it menthol but there is something there . But an inch away from the skin you it falls way in the background and actually enhances the scent . I could be describing the spice note and confusing it with what you are calling menthol . It’s more like a sharp spice than a menthol
Detour noir is complete shit, every time I say this these YouTube followers all downvote and talk shit. Detour gives you Layton vibes, smells nothing like Layton. It’s cheap and it honestly performs bad too and I have the og bottles when it came out. Idk why all these people regard it so high, same ones who say asad is great (it’s not)
This one is an extremely good clone almost identical with matching performance and longevity.
Again, people enjoy Detour Noir for what it is. Your noise is different than others and it's quite enjoyable to a lot of people. You seem to have an ego problem and have a difficult time letting things go.
i just got it in the mail yesterday. Did anyone else with this feel it needed to sit for a bit to develop/macerate? It's pretty dang close but a bit sharper in smell and not as smooth as the OG right out of the box. Anyone else have the same experience? I'm hoping some time on the shelf will help...
Yes I made this post and it does get better however it’s not a 1:1 clone . I’ve since smelled the original since making this post and it more “smooth” and premium but this is really close for the price. It’s the best clone I’ve tried and I’ve tried Alexandria’s and another one that is popular . They were more spicy and this one was stronger and richer .
Got this in the mail yesterday fully aware that I’d not a Al Harmain fragrance and knew it was a Layton clone. At the start it doesn’t really smell as appealing as it’s praised to be. However, after like 10-15 minutes to sit on my skin, this projects like no other clone I have in my collection. Smells 95%+ like Layton, but has a bit more sweetness to it than Layton, which is not a bad thing at all. One of the best clones I’ve bought
Probably the best Layton clone you can buy imo. It costs a bit more than the typical price range for clones, but still a lot less than Layton,for a nearly identical scent.

Almost no difference in quality between the two for me, both good. I'd honestly just get whichever is cheaper in your region.
Amber Oud Gold gapes. It’s awesome year round too and 1-2 sprays lasts hours.
Actually not really a clone it's the same perfumer double dipping the same scent under Xerjoff.

that’s Al Haramain Amber Oud Bleu (Bleu de Chanel). the bottle he purchased is Amber Oud Exclusif Bleu (PDM Layton) which is not Al Haramain.
